    This video was so fun to watch! I think my favorite image is the one at 6:02. The landscape is so beautiful and the trees in the foreground are so perfectly placed to create a visual flow. I also really enjoy the one of the bush at 4:14! The flash creates a wild energy and shows off the greens and reds while the background has a very soft look and the contrast between the two types of lighting is so cool to look at! This seems like the type of playful experimentation that could lead to some really great work!

      Aww great, glad to know you had fun watching Reimann! :)
      Ohh yes, love that one too. Ahh I see, good to know that you also fancy that mixed lighting aspect of it :D

    Nice video, Teo! The photo at 6:02 is indeed very good & it's my favourite. The way the trees are kinda faded out and the mountains having different shades. It reminds me of a photo shoot I did a couple of years ago in the mountains so it kinda also have an emotional feelings to me by just looking at it - that's what film does. And the camera is pretty cool.

    I've never seen a mountain in my life, imagine how otherworldly these videos look to me. One day though.

    Your first photo vertical with the trees, I think this is quite a nice composition. I see a gradient of greens from dark to light, the trees giving the direction : up !

    The intro to this video is gorgeous! Something nostalgic about shots of landscapes whizzing by through car windows. Reflections on the car window and things like the mirror and doorframe interrupting the shot. Its almost like your a kid, sitting in the back seat of your parents car and you are leaning forward to peek out the window. Really pretty :D

    Wonderful and fun video Teo! Great to see old point and shoot cameras in use. Brings back the fun of just composition rather than the perfect settings! IMO, I think having an odd number of objects in a photo can really help the composition, The houses on the hill side if there was a third building would have helped, but that is not always possible. Definitely agree how object in the foreground can be just as important as the subject. Looks like you had a great time together and that is the best results of a day out with a camera!

    • @teocrawford
      @teocrawford  2 года назад

      Ohh true, I think you're on to something with the three object idea! I can well imagine that a third subject could have added a bit more of a dynamic feel to the composition, thanks for pointing that out :)
      Glad you enjoyed the video, thank you! :D

    was ein tolles Video. Von Vorne bis zum Ende ein Meisterwerk!! ich glaube, ich werde mir die Kamera holen um tolle Momente aufnehmen zu können, ohne sich sorgen zu machen, wie das Bild nun geworden ist. Und vor allem, um auch eine Kamera mitnehmen zu können, ohne das teure Equipment mitnehmen zu müssen^^

    Inspiring video! How come the flash of the point and shoot is so good? The subject is well lit and the background's detail is captured well!! My olympus mju ii's flash creates such dark background, over exposing the subject.

    Natürlich haben Sie ganz schön Fotos gemacht! I always enjoy your compositions. As for the shot at 8:57, I wonder if it’s a perspective thing? For me I see a lot of different perspectives, especially with the tree’s shadows going straight sideways. Personally I really, really enjoy this shot - it would be a perfect post card photo!

    • @thomasrichards8055
      @thomasrichards8055 5 месяцев назад

      Looking at 8:57 again, I wonder if it would’ve helped to bring the houses further down, as if you had scrolled the world down in your view finder? More sky and trees up top, with less field in the bottom

    The film had a very interesting way of capturing the green's in the mountain+trees photos. Almost seemed equivalent to pushing the colors too hard in Photoshop, but more natural looking

    How much edit do you make to your photos in Lightroom? The ones shown in this video? Or were they shown as-is, fresh from developing and scanning?

    • @bullsharkTM
      @bullsharkTM 10 месяцев назад

      Oh i just watched one of your videos "should you not edit your film photography?" haha got my answer!

    • @teocrawford
      @teocrawford  8 месяцев назад +1

      It's complicated... I assume you've never scanned negatives before? You need to know that scanning is not always the same - basically you'll get different looks depending on the scanner you use and the method of scanning and the conversion software you use. So technically this is already a form of "editing", however I suppose that is not what you are referring to.
      After I scan my negatives, I convert them in Lightroom with a Plugin called Negative Lab Pro. In that software you can then sort edit your negatives after the conversion. However this is more like colour correcting that actual editing - it's similar to what the labs do with your photos when you let them scan it for you. After that you can save the photo as a .tiff and then make further adjustments in Lightroom, however I personally do not do that. So I tend to say I don't edit my photos, because I think that is more accurate to what you are referring to, however technically I am editing my photos... does that make sense?
      To put it simply: scanning = editing. But I personally do not do heavy editing on top of that.

    Hello Teo, sorry for the random question but I have a doubt about the Hero 9 that you carry, if I'm right. If you go for a LONG walk to take some pictures, how many batteries do you bring along? I really like the videos! Thanks a lot!

    • @teocrawford
      @teocrawford  2 года назад +1

      Sure thing, no problem. It's a GoPro Hero8 btw. and I believe the battery life is quite different depending on the video quality you're shooting and the temperature of your surroundings. So shooting 1080p instead of 4K will surely require less energy and I've noticed that the battery dies faster in winter when it gets pretty cold here.
      I shoot 4k 25p and the battery lasts for about an hour, maybe a little more. Therefore I usually carry two with me. So I guess the amount will depend on how LOOONG you plan to walk haha :D

    • @RafaelRipollGallardo
      @RafaelRipollGallardo 2 года назад

      @@teocrawford Thank you very much! Here it's the opposite. Two days ago there were 40°C peaks and it would surely affect the camera working temperature. I am thinking in buying one and you definitely had an influence on it! Thank you very much for your answer!
