  • Here’s a quick DIY instructional video to fix the flashing yellow light error that is caused by the pinch detection sensor being stuck, having broken continuity, or a dirty circuit board.

    Thank you very much for sharing this video. Everything in forums seemed to indicate the DFI sensors being broken and needing replaced, which was not super expensive, but why replace something that may not be broken. Took the bottom apart and noticed the pinch detectors had a lot of crud in between them, and that same visible part/chip on the circuit board was dirty too, so cleaned that all up with isopropyl alcohol and put it back together and she is spinning once again.
    People should try cleaning this all indeed instead of just assuming the DFI sensor is broken.

    Solved my problem by cleaning the circuit board. Tried everything else jumping the pins and all.

    Thank you. I've been fighting with 2 litter robot 3 that stopped at the same time.
    I cleaned both of them but not deep enough.
    After cleaning with a Q tip and alcohol they work.

    Damn companies always making things purposely break. Theres no reason for those holes to be there and catching shit on the board.

      Stupidly enough it’s a new thing they added, looked back at an older model I had and it doesn’t have the same hole open that the newer versions do
