- While I was attending the Warley National Model Railway Exhibition I arranged an interview with Fran Burke and Steve Nicholls of Accurascale. I managed to get them to share with us some more on the GWR Manors currently in production, along with an update on the GWR Siphon G's, plans for future releases of their popular Deltic locomotives, and some future plans.
Dear Larry, cool interview with the Accurascale guys. Will be very interesting what they come up with in US HO railroad modeling. Cheerio
Great interview Larry. Nice to hear their views and plans for the future. Waiting for my Manor and Class 37's to be released
Well done Larry.
Very informative interview Larry, I hope you have more on the show to come!
Good informative report Larry.
Thanks! The details on the Manor class are very interesting. Especially the two speakers. I have always been a bit dissatisfied with many sound models, which at first are novel, bit leave something to be desired particularly at the bass end. Being able to fit a second speaker is a solution that will help a great deal, although the small size of any speaker in a locomotive is always going to be a limitation if the sound is localized in the locomotive.
I forgot to ask them whether the speakers are included in locos without factory installed sound. I suspect the wires will be there but not the speakers themselves.
Excellent interview. Hadn't seen your channel before. Happily subscribed.
Great interview 😊
My brother saw the advertising for the Deltics in the modelling press and he spoke about them as he saw them when he was young. He was a trainspotter in the late 50’s and early 60’s. Remembers the Deltics and said the earth shook when they went past. The raw power they had was incredible and a hell of a noise 😂😂
Now I want one with sound 🤷♂️🙄
Enjoyed your video really good interview. Did see you film at the show I was on Margate Warren right by DCC Concepts stand you was on. Just subscribed 👍
Yes, we dud it right after the doors closed on Saturday. They were a great couple of guys to interview-knowledgeable and very open with their responses.
Great news on the deltics. Cant wait.
Missed the 1st batch,
I'm impressed by the Manor tender. Almost all manufacturers put in a very full coal load.
Yes, they have really put a lot of thought into the overall design.
The dapol model has empty tender also.
4:15 So I'm not the only one bugged by steam engine sounds coming just from tenders!
Hi, please Accurascale bring out a class 43 set and a class 08, I missed the first run of Deltics, I would buy one in a heartbeat, there is a RUclipsr whom owns at least 6 of them, first come first served I guess.
Guys, how about a King Class. There are good models of A1, A3 and A4,Merchant Navy and the LMS Pacifica. Frankly the King has been lackluster and a high end King will be a winner!
A deltic in prototype livery please.
Weren’t all of the first run in prototype liveries? I think you’ll see the same attention to the details in the next run, plus any changes modelers are requesting, where possible. These guys go the extra distance to get it right.
@@UKModelRailways I have never seen theirs in prototype colours. This is what it looks like. i0.wp.com/www.classiccollectmodels.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/04/Deltic-01.jpg?w=690&ssl=1
@@UKModelRailways Not seen anything from them in prototype colour. It should look like this :
