Delivered in perfect time as always from the universe. I am facing one of those big decisions and this has been one of my fears. So beautifully addressed, so clear. Another one that I will save. Thank you!
I agree with you Josh. The ego often seems a jealous partner... Why would the ego guard against such freedom? Because it knows that freedom is the end of the ego. That freedom is sanity... while the ego represents the insane. And like all insane constructs, it is convoluted, chaotic, and rests on illusions. May we gently relinquish the illusions and the insanity! Peace be with you on your journey, Josh. 🙏- Jonathan
Dear VedantaKesari, I don't know who Swami Rama Tirtha is, but I am honored that you've found something useful and resonant here. Peace be with you, my friend! - Jonathan
You may enjoy reading Swami Rama Tirtha. His life was amazing! He was one of the greatest Jnanis (and Bhaktas) of the 20th century. He took Mahasamadhi in 1906. He would have said that you were a perfect embodiment of Vedanta.
Darby! I sincerely appreciate your enthusiastic support. Thank you! ...and I've made a mental note to include something about location every time I do this, going forward... it will always be towards the end of the video, and we'll see where this goes... literally! Look forward to having you along for the ride. Thanks again, Darby! 😊🙏
To have a loving perspective is very good, but it must not be turned into a self-deception. You must respect the limits of the physical plane as well, lest you not use common sense and end up not proving for yourself which will trigger your ego to go into extreme self preservation mode. A way of living that respects and honors both the physical plane and unified consciousness concurrently seems to be a decent goal to live a happy and healthy life.
Yes Bret... I tend to think of the body like a pet I take care of. Even if it's not really "me" there is something reasonable and graceful about trying - at least most of the time - to feed it healthy food, get some exercise, and generally be a good steward of the vessel. It seems, rather naturally and easily, that being a good steward is also a loving thing to do. So I see no inconsistency with taking care of the body. And when it's time to lay it aside, I'll do that lovingly too. No worries...😊🙏 - Jonathan
First of all , you’re not walking away from anything because there isn’t a you that is walking away. Secondly, what you think is “everything “ is simply energy in that form . There’s no one walking away from no thing!
If you’re in divine Love, you won’t walk away from anything- You’ll go into it!
At the very least you can meet it with peace, yes? 😊🙏
The space that you hold makes it so easy to step into a place of quiet grace and abiding joy. Thank you for being. 🙏💖
Abby, I'm so glad you feel this grace. May it serve your journey, and speak quietly in your ear as you take the steps it prompts... 😊🙏 - Jonathan
Pure gold, Jonathan. Clear, concise, compelling, saturated in everything that matters and nothing that doesn't. Thank you. 🙏
Thank you Steve! I sincerely appreciate the good vibes. Peace be wit'chu, good brothah!

I've had many similar conversations on this topic. Interesting how the ego guards against our ultimate freedom.
