Well done gentlemen, it was nice to see the boys develop over the two years. There is nothing better than a father and sons team. Thanks for sharing, I own a 1952 M38.

Always wanted to look a 50’s M38A1 over to see what different. I’ll bet it’s not much.
Kids have worked on the 68 Corvette, the M38A2, 78 Camaro, and now the 60 Chevy Apache. They enjoy it and so do I. Thanks for the comment

You have the last of the last and I have the first of the first. mine is dated November 1952 and was delivered to Fort Ord California where it was in service until 1994 it was surpluses out on 1996 and I've had it since 2000 and I have put countless miles on it since then. I took it for a spin today to get gas and lunch. I can't say mine is as nice as yours but i maintain it as a survivor vehicle.

Great job, I owned a 51 M38A1 that I bought out of a farm field in 1985. It still had the OD paint on it with a big white five point star centered on the hood. Maybe the Jarheads did not have that. BTW, I use the term Jarhead with great respect as my oldest grandson is one and in Viet Nam they called themselves that. dbg

The Jeep surprised me how sterile the markings were. Except for a sticker at the gas fill neck that I couldn’t find, it went back the way it was. As I recall the Marines didn’t even wear name tags on their duty uniforms until the mid 90s..
