Is it possible to grease the auger bearings without removing them? (on an SB48). The bearings are fine, just looking for a way to keep 'em that way.

No have to repack or replace them. They are pretty cheap so if taking them out for most worth it to just replace them. We offer chain and bearing kits as well as most all parts. Caseingersolltractors.com

Many thanks. You and the Ms. are simply invaluable. I figure I'll wait til they fail, and then do that. All the best to you both, and thank you again for all that you do.@@caseingersolltractorsnortheast

Hi not many good options. They made Retrofit kits for the mule drive to make them work but they are very hard to find and can cost what a used blower would. Simplest and probably cheapest is find the correct blower if you can. Thanks for watching and the comments

What size wrench did you use? So I don’t have to buy a whole set

I'm sorry the bolt holes are longgated that's a problem

Not sure why you are sorry lol.... The bolt holes are worn because the bearings were very shot and they cause the bolts to wear the end plates... happens when bad bearings are ran for awhile we have seen it multiple times.... This was all talked about and typed out in the beginning of the video.... The video is about "how to replace auger bearings" that was what the video was made for and this was a extreme example as talked about and a great one to use for a video. Video was not "whats wrong" lol...

It looks like the bolts are completely worn out in the hole. I'm sure the bearings are bad you've got two problems going on

Yes that's exactly what we said and showed in the beginning of the video. The bolts either loosened from the vibration of bad bearings or the bad bearings allowed the bolts to Waller out the holes on the ends because the auger play from bad bearings. Thanks for watching.
