Eyes, Nose, Lips was written for Min Hyorin who he is now married to. To add to that, they met in the set of 1AM another Taeyang solo song. GD helped cast Hyorin (she was a friend of GD's friend). The MV is a bit...hmm...you have to see it too hahaha. To see where Taeyang and Hyorin started.
The song is so sad coz u love the girl she married to ur friend it's so hard to see the someone u love married and u had to sing on her wedding bcoz she so special to u its really hurts it's break my heart to watch this😭

He was introduced to Min Hyo-rin by his best friend and BIGBANG'S leader GDragon for her to be his model for the MV of the song "1 AM". He fell in love immediately, they went out for a while, they broke up, Tae was devastated and he wrote Eyes, Nose, Lips for her to come back, it worked! They are now happily married and they are now parents of a wonderful one-year-old boy 🤗❤️

Taeyang was really famous as an R&B artist in Asia back then. The first Bigbang member to gain public recognition for being an all-around performer. Only Look at Me and Ringa Linga are also crowd favorites so I hope you also listen to them.

What a crock of shite. Taeyang is a great solo talent but GD was the creative force that put everyone in Big Bang and YG on the map. Everyone in Korea knew and it's well documented that YG and Big Bang members begged the then 18 year old GD to release his "LIES", a song he wrote for his future solo projects, with the group so he did and it became the song that sparked Big Bang's domination. At the age of 21, GD's first solo album won Album of the Year, long before Taeyang garnered his first solo accolades BECAUSE Taeyang was a rapper turned singer pre-debut and his voice still cracked during BB's early years It doesn't matter where you're from but Korea knew of GD since he was a 10 year old rapping prodigy who later turned singer/songwriter/producer.

The girl is his wife 💗. He wrote it when they broke up, so it was like him apologizing. If I'm not mistaken, he release this mv when they're relationship wasn't publicize, so we are also shocked when we realized that it was the girl on this mv all along. Anyway, fun fact they also got introduced to eo in one of his mv, 1am. She was the leading lady there.

The BIGBANG effect. One moment you're fine and think you're safe because there aren't subtitles, but then you get smacked in the face by the feeling of the song and the stories within the music videos. BIGBANG's first MV I saw was "Haru Haru" and I ended up crying. I was shocked but intrigued since I had never cried over a song (especially one I didn't understand) before. Got me into BIGBANG and Kpop in general and now I've been a VIP for 15 years this year. Thank you for giving Taeyang a chance. He's an incredibly talented artist and a really kind human.
The woman in "Eyes, Nose, Lips" is his wife. Back then, they had just broken up and that song was for her as an apology and letting her know how much he loved her. They've been together for a long time and have a beautiful baby boy together that Taeyang dotes over. And definitely, Taeyang (and actually all of BIGBANG) have some of the best live stages. Rather than watch only MVs and stream on platforms, fans often share clips of our favorite concerts and live stages.

Yo, I'm so touched with your reaction for Wedding Dress. It's so old but it is still relevant till this day. Love that you didn't need the lyrics to understand what the song was about. The MV and his delivery was enough.
Fun fact, back in the day like, 07 to 08, I was one of those who got into kpop and most people don't understand it. The boy/girl group, too coordinated dances, cute concepts was jarring in the age of Rihanna, Neyo, Chris Brown, etc. For a lot of people around me, Taeyang connected those people to kpop.
Wedding Dress put Taeyang and his group on the global arena. Every Korean in America were all for him and this song. It was a big hit and is a song that all Korean and Artist know. This is one of the reasons why BTS look up to Taeyang and why Jimin has been playing his song for 10+years.
Glad I’m not the only one who was getting Neyo and Usher vibes from Wedding Dress. It gives such a nostalgic feeling of early 2000s music. There is an English version of Wedding Dress too.

Old Kpop MV doesn't need English lyrics translation because the video speaks by itself. No complicated theory, no symbolic, no word that hard for us to interpret even only one storyline in one MV, we understand and relate to the song so much. That's what got me into Kpop, I have been listening to Kpop since the 2nd gen
You know a real Artist when you cry even though you dont know the lyrics. Yes the MV was good but its the singers tone and delivery, that sets this scene. This is why everyone loves Taeyang. Why he is such a hugely respected Artist in music for Koreans. He is a Superstar they all look up too.

Taeyang doesn't really do crazy choreo like you get these days but just looking at him, if you're a dancer you can tell he has insane fundamentals and control, if he wanted to, he could pop off. Same for his vocals. He's just such a child of RnB.

Eyes, Nose, Lips was a song dedicated to his ex-gf at the moment; i believe they were separated and he wrote this song about her. This was a time in his life that he matured more and realized that she was the one. Wedding Dress... smh, 2 guys like a girl and the other friend was more bold, so he ended up on the sideline...as simple as that but totally heart breaking.

eyes, nose, and lips was written for his wife min hyorin. they met in one of their mv filming and Min hyorin happens to be the female actress in the MV. Taeyang instantly fell in love with her and pursued her until they got married.

Jeff, speaking of hearing him live...Taeyang just released a live video of Vibe live and it is very special. Both he and Jimin sound incredible and the more laid back version of the song is amazing. Also, Taeyang is a guest on BTS Suga's show "Suchwita" and it gives a glimpse into his future plans as well as his genuine friendship with members of BTS.

Jeff their is an English version to this song. I just found it on Spotify. Taeyang is just so talented and so good hearted. You need to watch the interview that Suga from BTS has with him. It is amazing and they are both so down to earth and respectful of each other. Suga was actually "star stuck" for a bit! ❤️💜

Wedding dress was so big in the Philippines 2009, even non-kpop stans were singing and dancing it everywhere. Truly one of kpop's most legendary songs. Oh some of Big Bang's earlier vids tend to be more movie-like and emotional like Wedding Dress. One example is Haru Haru.

Wedding Dress is one of the golden songs of 2nd gen. It was so powerful back then than people made so many English versions and played it in the radio in the US.
