I am Amanda from Hong Kong. I make easy and practical cantonese learning videos for complete beginners to intermediate level.
My full time job is a flight attendant. I enjoy studying foreign languages. My job allows me to visit many places and meet many people. So that I have more chances to practice what I have learned.
Due to the covid, I haven't fly regularly for over a year. I find RUclips is extremely helpful for maintaining my language proficiency. One day, out of curiosity, I looked for cantonese learning channels. I was so surprised that there are so little and most of the good one are even from overseas. That's why I started "5 minute cantonese" on 2020.

Why sometimes this character zo6 座 can change tone and pronunciation even? Does it actually means seat? Co2
the one you mean is 坐
when we pronounce co2, it means to sit. 座 zo6 means the seat
You explain things so well & make your lessons fun to watch!
One small thing, please check your pronunciation of ‘block’ - I expect you have already corrected it in your speech since this lesson 😉
Thank you very much for letting me know. I would pay more attention to this.💪🏻
I am glad that I could learn from you guys while teaching.😁
好好啊!!!

Only thing is that in the U.S.A we don't say Flat. We say room.I believe that is what it is said here.
Yes, you are right! 😊
How do you say "room number 1", is it "一室" or "第一室"
simply 一室is fine 🙂
The audio quality is bad...please improve on it, otherwise, your excellent content will be wasted because I have a hearing impairment which doesn't help.
Thank you very much for your feedback. It was my earlier video. I have filmed up to 150 videos now. I didn't use microphone in the beginning. Now I have used it so the sound quality is improving.
Sound quality is fine for learning for free.
you are number yat
