Not only do they make very special watches but everyone I've seen in the media representing the company seem to be genuinely nice and passionate people.
Lange continues to impress! This is a truly spectacular piece of contemporary horology. I believe this will go down in history as the very best new release of Watches & Wonders 2023.
I love the CEO of Lange! Such a chill guy and doesn't come across as a snob or trying too hard to appear classy. Love him doing the technical specs in this video for Alexander. 😆😆
Anthony de Haas is the director of development. But yeah, I also love listening to him. Enthusiastic to his field, very calm and relaxing voice. I can listen to him all day.
Absolute perfection. By far the best release of W&W23. Seriously, look at how the counterweight of the chrono minute envelops the counterweight of the chrono seconds and then under that, as if that wasn't enough, the running seconds pivots perfectly centered under both counterweights. Can you image what it takes to get those hands to line up like that every time you hit the reset?
Thank you Mr Linz. Appreciate your attention to detail and your respectful way of asking the brands challenging questions. Your interviews with Mr de Haas are legendary. I wonder if they made the chronograph hands out of aluminum and steel (lighter than gold) to make it easier on the movement to reset them? The dual function of the pushers is brilliant.
Thanks for sharing our passion and your kind feedback! I will ask Anthony and let you know... In case I forget ( I am actually reading hundreds of comments) please remind me...
I really enjoyed this. Speaking about the watch, with Chris providing insight into their design intent. It brought forth a point George made. They did look after details. But the really special was Evelyn and her story’s of Gerald and his work. Not sure you’ll be able to replicate that. But a this focus was very enjoyable. I did think you could have used a different watch view camera. Or something set up for close-ups.
A very beautiful watch! Looks more balanced on the dial, even better than the blue Odysseus. Odysseus bracelets bother me even though it has great character. It still does.
It seems to have a reduced width that I think looks better... anyway the bracelet has a nice taper to clasp and the watch looks great plus that functionality is great.
Love the video really showing off true watch making and design. I won't be one of those 100 owners but this has stayed as a trail watch in my mind. Well done.
Wow, tremendous. I'm curious how robust the setting/pusher mechanism is. As I observed, when you pushed the top pusher to change the date when the chrono was running, the seconds hand was jumping.
Lange is amazing because of their movements. That pretty much makes the possiblity of a thin movement out of the question from them, which is a darn shame because that is where a lot of people's tastes are moving.
Won't that second chrono wheel would worn out quicker with such mechanism? Seems like the minute counter is the one that drove the second chrono. I don't know if I'm a fan of such mechanism...

It's classically attractive but too chunky for a dress watch, unless you mean "cryptobro (crypbro?) in a button down shirt with rolled up sleeves" dressy. Some extra complications like a small seconds reset or flyback would definitely help justify the price.
DEAR ALEXANDER, HAPPY NEW YEAR. GOD BLESS YOU MY FRIEND. I AM VERY PROUD OF YOU AND VERY HAPPY FOR YOU. I HOPE ALL OF YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE. I HOPE YOU HAD THE BEST AND HAPPIEST CHRISTMAS OF YOUR ENTIRE LIFE. I LOVE YOU. I LOVE MR. ESPARZA AND ALL OF MY BEAUTIFUL FRIENDS. 🙏 SINCERELY PETER
@@svrocko1 Where are you based? Best would be to establish a relationship with an ALS boutique… buy watches… and get active in some of the Internet forums…
@@WatchAdvisor I am in southern California about 1.5 hours away from the nearest boutique. My parents live in Europe, about 1.5 hours from the boutique in Maastricht. I figured you would say buy some watches....it's expensive to form all these relationships with dealers 😆
While the execution is probably excellent and the technical specs are also probably outstanding ; personally , I don’t like the design of this piece. I find it boring . The dial is boring, the bracelet is boring , and overall , it’s just another watch. Nothing that will be remembered in my opinion.
@@WatchAdvisor No worries mate. I just don’t like it and personally , I won’t be buying one ; that’s all. Good for ALS that they can sell them all ; I guess beauty is really in the eye of the beholder.

Together with the IWC Ingenieur it ranks among the best watches 2023 IMHO...
Well done by Lange. Lovely chrono. Different and memorable. ❤ Also, Anthony seems a really great guy.

I agree... so far I haven't seen anything comparable...
A. Lange & Sohne 👌 The brand & product is a phenomenon that transcends the commercial behemoths of close neighbors. Well done.
Maximum 5000 watches manufactured per year versus > 70.000 .... I think this is what you are referring to...
Very innovative watch with an amazing looking dial!
Amazing. I would love to own any A Lange&Sohne. Pinnacle of watchmaking 😍
The most luxurious and exclusive high-end watchmaker
Stunning watch! I love it!!!!!!
Me too!!! 😜
What a brand fantastic.
Great Video. Fantastic Release of ALS and the movement is brilliant. Only complain is 14.2 mm thickness.
I don’t like the way the bracelet meets the lugs but the rest of the watch is absolutely beautiful. That dial is just gorgeous.
Yeah, it's a mess. Should have just done a normal end link.
How many other langes must i but before i can but this? Thats the honest snd real question.
Don't buy one. You will be utterly disappointed by their "service".

what a genius move! especially for the price tag, it will solve lots of problems for the current price increase

Wow Alex, what a beauty❤
Absolutely fanominal timepiece!
That is fantastic.. Have they reduced the width of the bracelet? it looks thinner and much better, and the main thing I thought with the original.
Not that I know!
It seems to have a reduced width that I think looks better... anyway the bracelet has a nice taper to clasp and the watch looks great plus that functionality is great.
The case is larger, so the proportions are probably different because of this.
@@vincenthaller638 Ah that makes sense as this version looks much better.
It can't get any better.
Lange Beautiful watch❤❤❤
Thanks for sharing!
Beautiful watch, sensational movement! 🔥🔥🔥
Couldn't agree more!
Black and red make a great combo. 😍
Great Video.Wonderful light and sharpness presenting the watch, looked almost like rendered. Well executed, thank you.
Love Lange.. BUT Have you seen the price jump? The saxonia out size date is 35,000£😢 what on earth!
And you need to buy it before you can get a odysseus.
That's across all Richmont brands, I think JLC is the worst regarding huge price hikes
Love the video really showing off true watch making and design. I won't be one of those 100 owners but this has stayed as a trail watch in my mind. Well done.
I won’t be one either 🤣😜
Great video and watch. Lugs seem shorter than in the previous version?
Check out our video to get the answer…
IMHO, no manufacturer making thousands of watches per year are doing it at the quality level of ALS
In fact there is no better level of quality than this!
I’d rather have a Lange then a PP.
For real it's almost impossible to beat them on chronographs with the movements they create.
Wow, tremendous. I'm curious how robust the setting/pusher mechanism is. As I observed, when you pushed the top pusher to change the date when the chrono was running, the seconds hand was jumping.
I didn't see that... will have to watch the video again after watches and Wonders...
Amazing watch. But so thick...
Love it
Stunning 🤩 even!
Does it have anything to do with IWC or Glashutte? So similar design in terms of bracelet and clasp.
The clasp was sourced from Brogioli...many brands use this clasp
Lange is amazing because of their movements. That pretty much makes the possiblity of a thin movement out of the question from them, which is a darn shame because that is where a lot of people's tastes are moving.
Thank you so much. I was waiting for ur review all day. That’s the real one. Omg!!

The pushers kind of destroy the proportion for me, other than that fantastic watch.
They are part of the design and/or DNA of the Odysseus...
Again, the date numbers are not aligned properly
