I am a beginner to the crafting community and you are one of my favorites. Mental illness is a real thing and I have found that your voice to be soothing and you make me feel like I can do it. Thank for sharing your gift and being so awesome.
Loved the card, and I really liked the idea of the white polka dots. Maybe what would work is if you have a really tiny hole punch, to punch out little dots and glue on. Then the glossy accents will totally work and you keep your dots.
Kristina I love the look of rain on the clothes and the umbrella protection being lighter. Yeah we did lose the little dots and I'm sad about that as I love them. But the glossy accents really make the coats look wet..so it turned out to be a win...anyway. Love the card and the little people... pat
Thank you for letting me see some real time coloring! I find it helpful to see how you put down the color and it's way easier to see when it's not superspeed! :)
Love this card and stamp set! I was intrigued to watch how you did the watercolor background because when I first saw the card on your blog, it did look like the figures were stamped not diecut! Beautiful! Thanks for all your inspiring work and tutorials!
Oh my goodness, Kristina! I absolutely love love love this card! I enjoy making and sending encouragement cards and I would love to make and send this card some day! Thanks again for another wonderful card tutorial...gorgeous work and stunning end results! Just fabulous!
i was able to order this stamp set for My birthday recently I cannot wait to get it! I love the way you made the rain so dark and I love the glossy accents on the coats- adorable!!!
Hi Kristina..I think the white dots added kinda subtle pattern to the raincoat..like when the actual wet rain coat with polka dots glistens, we can't actually see the dots quite clearly..I like this effect better :)
I dont know HOW or WHY I am just now hearing about these. I found them last night, right before bed, and I forgot to look them up again until just now... Thank god they stayed in my memory queue! I cant belieeeeeve Im just now hearing of them! And i just found the "clear color 2" markers tonight, the bullet & fine-tip version, which are even cheaper! I've been looking for a nice quality marker in my price range for years! I have 30 prismacolor chizel tip markers but they just arent my style, i enjoy BRUSH tips, for 1, and for 2, I just cannot get into the opaque ink! plus, the price for prismas is ridiculous, and copics are WAY too expensive as well. THESE are GEMS! absolute GEMS! I cant wait to learn more about them! Great vid! Thx for sharing!
Love this card. My set is in route as we speak. About the white dots. You can put a little microglaze over them before adding GA. I found if I let the gel pen dry overnight before glossing more of it stays but it almost looks like its floating inside the GA. You could try the copic opaque stuff or even picket fence distress paint. I think part of the key is letting it cure. That said, I like that gell kind of fades out some. It allows the shading to show through and keeps the dimension of the piece. I absoluetely love how your piece turned out and I can totally see yhe polka dots.
this card is beyond CUTEST!!! and the dots look perfectly hidden by the strong rain ;) i'm a secret admirer of your work from far away Switzerland. Your art is an neverending source of inspiration! thank you so much for your energy, time & effort °}i{°
I guess you did this eons ago.....but my Zig's are due. Us to Australia!! On Wed! So I am on a learning curve. Got the set of 80 on Amazon special. Thanks for this.
Pretty card as always! Wanted to let you know that Memento, Ranger Archival and MFT Hybrid inks are all waterproof. I tested them all, along with Versafine, when I got the Akashiya-sai brush markers that you reviewed a few months ago (which are similar to the Zig). If you need to darken some lines, Copic multiliners are waterproof as well. And I love the idea of laminating white cardstock as a palette! I'll be doing that for sure.
Love this card... :) If I may.... I have a tip .. about the white dots when using glossy accents. I had the same problem ... so to work around it.. I apply the glossy accents.. or similar product.. let it dry completely.. apply the dots after .. on top of dried glossy medium. It works..! Now, I know this is not in your product list, but I also use, and have had better results for the white on glossy.. by using a craft acrylic paint.. tiny dots can be applied using a tooth pick.. or if you have a small brush.. and feel comfortable using it.. that works really well ... !! :D Again..LOVE your card and the effect you achieved!!
I learned so much from this! Seriously it was a total joy watching this, thank you SO much for putting your knowledge, skill & creativity out there! Consider me subscribed!!
Great card! :) I guess that you use your Signo white pen for the dots, I've had that problem too with the glossy accent... I switched to a Sakura Gelly roll nr 8 instead when I do glossy accent over, that works great! :)
I had to chuckle/groan at the glossy raincoats on the bear & little girl. It reminds me of the AWFUL vinyl raincoats we had as kids. Despite the miniscule air holes that were punched under the arms & such, they were SOOOO hot, especially in the Texas summers! Kristina, I wonder, do you ever do skin tones other than Caucasian? Just curious. I would love to see how to do those, what colors you can use, etc. I'm not trying to be mean or anything. I just think it would be nice to see something different sometimes. Anyway, love your card, especially how you kept the brighter area under the umbrella. Tfs!
Love your videos (new sub)! If you don't have dies, is there another way that you recommend to cut out stamps? Scissors never leave a consistent amount of white border around the image.
Sarah Kinger You can cut it right up to the edge of the stamp, and then "paint" the edges of the cardstock with a black marker. That makes it look like it's cut out perfectly. Or, you can leave a tiny bit of a white border around the image. Try cutting it out very slowly and moving the paper more than your scissors. It's hard to describe, but essentially slowing down will help tons.
Love your videos, beautiful drawings, lots of useful material thank you being so inspirational)) I like this pens a lot, I'm deciding on which set to buy, 24/36/48. I m not sure if the colours are very similar(couldn't find the packs review) or 1 pen for 3 colours is enough (just needs blending for a lighter colour) for a enjoyable result, I m not a professional painter but I m planning to become one) I ve noticed that sets directly from Amazon Japan are 20 euros cheaper rather than from Amazon Europe, but still on the higher end of the budget. Which set would you recommend worth investing into? and do they blend with Prisma colour pencils, Do you think it is worth buying the same colour set for pencils too? xoxo
+Inness Life not to make your decision more intense, but there is also the 60 color set! do you have experience with this type of marker already? IE: do you have experience with other watercolor markers? Tombow? W&N watercolor markers? If you have NO experience with WC markers, the standard advice will be to try buying 2-3 of these to TRY first, then decide if they are for you. After you've experimented with 1, or 2-3 of these, THEN think about a set. The standard advice you will receive for once you've decided these are for you, and you want a set, will be: Buy the LARGEST set that you can COMFORTABLY afford. That is the standard for buying sets of artist quality supplies, such as markers, colored pencils, pastels, and even tube paints. :) I hope I've helped. I would personally go for the 48 color set, and a couple waterbrushes, considering you can get different tints of each color by diluting w/ water in a brush!
I like how this card isn't perfect as in the colour bled on the girl but it still turned out really really great, it makes me worry less that I end up with colour that bleeds pretty much always :)
Do the blue lid containers for the embossing powder come with a spot for the spoon...or is it added. I have the containers that look the same...bit no sooon holder??
Thats true, I was wondering because it seemed as if the ink transferred onto the paper from the stamp, leaving the stamp empty of ink and therefore "disposable". Thanks for your response!

I think the little white dots on the raincoat look gorgeous under the glossy accents. They are gentle and discreet. Perfect!
Love it....the bear appeals more than some other critters...very cute.
Great idea for the wet look with Glossy Accents!! What a darling final card!!! Thanks for sharing!!
Lauri
OMG, that little bear is beyond adorable!!! It's a lovely card design... Thanks for showing it to us!
I ordered Zig Clean Color watercolor from Amazon, I can't wait to use them. So excited.

I learned so much! Thanks for posting! I have the same Mama Elephant stamp set as you use in the video. Now I have some ideas!!!

Thanks for sharing. Really cute and well explained.
Cute, cute, cute as always.

Super adorable!!!! I am in love with this card!!!

I love this card! I'll have to try Versafine for watercoloring. StazOn black fades a ton for me, so I'm looking to try something new.
Beautiful Kristina!
I love Versafine black ink! I think I have brown and blue in the versafine. Great ink!
SUPERB IN EVERY WAY
I actually liked the way the dots looked like in the end, it almost looked like she had water droplets on her raincoat... ^_^

K Werner Design thanks!! I'll try that!! Love this card design :)
Interesting that the dots disappeared. Thank you for this information. Hugs
love it.
Hi, can you only use these markers on watercolor paper? i color in adult coloring books a lot. Thank you!
+scrapaway1 You can, but those papers are thin and won't hold up to much water. Use the smallest amount of water or none at all.
what did you put on the black card stock before adding you stamp greeting and embossing powder?
Love your videos, beautiful drawings, lots of useful material thank you being so inspirational))

Very very nice
you create lovely cards do you make these cards to sell?, or only give it to your friends?
Very nice
Are the stamps reusable? Lovely lovely video!
Yes, generally all stamps are reusable.
Thats true, I was wondering because it seemed as if the ink transferred onto the paper from the stamp, leaving the stamp empty of ink and therefore "disposable". Thanks for your response!
