      How many miles was on the old oil?

    • @Syntheticoilprotection
      @Syntheticoilprotection  4 года назад +1

      I think only about 60.
      He did some towing with the truck I believe he was towing a boat.
      If you have OEM I would recommend doing it every 30000 miles if you have like an upgraded diff cover and you're running Amsoil oil you should be good for 50 60,000 MI if you're towing I would probably still change it a little earlier

    The fluid in the pouch is genius. Especially if you’re doing the fluid change without a lift.

      It gives you a incredible versatile way to tap all different components from different angles!
      In the great part is that pouch can hold 1100 lb before it bursts so you don't have to worry about it getting messy.
      Also there's no extra charge for the easy pack which is nice.
      I thought Amsoil was going to get the new product award but a product that was basically a cardboard box took first place.
      Really really cool to see Amsoil constantly innovate and step up the bar of lubricant technology and the way it is installed!
      thanks for being a part of the RUclips channel DJ and remember we have our Amsoil giveaway coming up January 26th you'll see it the video on my playlist

    I forgot to watch this video here, even though my 1993 Toyota Previa calls for 75w90 to 75w110 for the rear differential since it’s a rear wheel drive only, I decided to go with the Amsoil 75w140 and the Amsoil slip lock with it I must say it does work wonders. Before I would hear a grinding noise before when I would drive it, the thicker rear diff oil Amsoil has and slip lock sure did help a lot with the noise.

      Sweet, yeah I found the film strength to be incredible when I changed it on my C5 Corvette!
      I feel less vibration in the drivetrain.

    That fluid that came out was toast whoever’s vehicle this is, is soooo luckyyy. Amsoil would never break down an foam like that. Even after 100,000.

      It was a little bit of a bomb scare I have to admit......lol

      Even this amsoil will foam, if you understood how fast that pinion and ring gear is moving it would make sense

      The reason why is those diff covers. Gail Banks did like an 18 month diff cover testing on flat diff covers. There’s a reason why the factory covers are contoured.

      Exactly I love the new Ram Air diff cover he makes

    Great video and great explanation at 6:08 about overfilling fluids so basically your saying you fill it and let all the excess drain until it is just a few drops and then seal it correct ?

    Hi I have a 2009 Lexus GS 350 awd the owners manual says 75w-85 are equivalent...I’m having a hard time finding 75w-85 gear oil would it be ok to use 75w-90

    I see some guys like to pull the cover off and clean it. Is that really necessary?

    • @Syntheticoilprotection
      @Syntheticoilprotection  3 года назад +2

      yeah it's something that they do usually if there's no drain plug but if there is a drain plug most of the time all you do is just clean the magnet on the drain plug squirt a little bit of new gear lube inside and that will get the residual at the bottom of the pumpkin and any residuals will come out and then after you squeeze about 5 to 10 oz through and let it drain out right away then you put the bolt on the bottom on and then you're good to go to fill it
