Sean Monahan only played 74 games in Montreal over the span of 2 seasons.. And in this short amount of time he completely won over the fan base. What a beauty, I wish him nothing but the best in his future.

Imagine, Winnipeg wins the cup, Habs get the conditional pick and MonaHab signs with Montreal in the off-season. Win, win, win. Imo, would rather see Peg get bounced in the first round for a better 1st-round pick and then resigned by Montreal but alas, a guy can dream

I remember being jelous of Sean Monahan hoping we had drafted a player like him in Galchenyuk. Even though Sean was drafted one year he latter he was drafted in 2013 he was way ahead in his development than Galchenyuk drafted in 2012.. Monahan was good right away, showed character and leadershio right away. I was like damn why can't Chucky be like that? Maybe he needs to improve his skating maybe this maybe that.
I always had Sean Monahan in high esteem as a hockey player. I was shocked that we got him for nothing and how well he played last year after after comming off huge sugeries and off for so long. Only great athletes do that and that's what Sean Monahan is an all round great athlete and hockey player good in everything. Offense, Defense, tough, smarts leadership.
When he said last summer that he was feeling better than he had for years I wrote on many sites that Sean Monahan was going to have a great year and he did.
Now after playing one full year healthy I predict that next year Sean Monahan will be like the Sean Monahan of old. Remember this post. You'll see, he'll be back to being a point a game player especially surrounded by good players.
Sean thank you for everything, I speak for many fans that we wish you nothing less than a Stanley Cup victory and know you will always be loved and welcome in Montreal.

Hughes stated in the post trade presser that the team didn't have enough clarity in its future to offer Monahan a reasonable contract.
"qu'on n'est pas en position, dans le moment, de lui offrir... on a pas assez de clarté, Renault, dans notre avenir pour lui offrir un contrat raisonnable"
If Monahan stays healthy, he'll get something like 5x5.

Why would you trade for a pick and hope that pick one day becomes as good as Monahan.
    You have hom now.
The team will forever be worse because no one they draft will be as good.
I'm leaning towards dropping them as my go to sports.
Bunch of losers who have no goals.
    Literally and figuratively.
