As a "OG" of the channel, I always gave props to the edits. I always like how you used Casey's style but put your twist on it. I don't comment like I use to, but still watch. Don't stop what your doing. You may also want to do production when the vlogs end.

I'm on board with the Club DJ turn up at the private events. When called for of course. So many mobile djs fall into the catering box and forget the essence of DJing.

I appreciate your candor, your talks about how the even went from the DJ perspective. We can all say it went great but what does that mean for the DJ. We know that the client should remain none the wiser, but sometimes people can be PITA and make the event not worth doing. I hope we understand that you have to live with what risks you can take because you have bills, but becoming too big to fail is a thing and I'm sure we don't want that to happen.

Also about lighting, for most gigs (weddings, parties etc) the lighting is not something you have to worry too much about, but when you get up to something like a big high school dance or a concert, people do care about the lighting. If you do it well enough you can transform a boring space (an arena or a high school gym) into something people don’t usually see, and they’re willing to pay more for that.
It’s all scale.

What’s up Barr. I actually agree with what you said 100% and we’ve had those conversations. Still the #1 focus should be on musical entertainment. The thing about you I’ve noticed is the progression. I always say “he knows how to dj.” Then you add all the rest of the things as you gain more knowledge to do so. You continue to do that and that is the way a lot of these guys should take note on. Learn your craft first then work on your look. Your craft will get you more gigs vs a light show. Lights are just what you said are an enhancement to what you are doing... not the main show Unless you are strictly there for lighting design. Back then you didn’t know, and fast forward you have shown progression in growth. I bet you knew how to DJ thought which got you more and more gigs. ❤️

What position should I set on my DJ Controller and my big speakers and a Subwoofer? Everything on 12 O’ Clock position of all the main master gains? (Please reply to me please. Anyone)
You can get technical and watch videos on "setting gain," but I have always set everything at 12:00 and adjusted from there. I'm not a sound engineer, but I know what sounds good. Every room is different, so tweak it little by little. Too much of anything can cause distortion.
You will get a lot of different opinions about this. I think DJ Rick Webb has a video about this. I usually set my master gain on my volume at 12 o’clock and my top speakers at 3 o’clock. I set my sub around 12 o’clock

Where do you get your music from
what's up man..im not sure if Barr will get around to answering your question so I thought I would lend some info that may help..I started out on BPMSupreme.com for a while..bunch of different genre of music...I stayed for a year but I literally just canceled my subscription because sometimes it takes them mad long to get some songs...so now I am using MP3Pool.com (I believe that's the website lol) they get music pretty fast from what I can see but I will let u know how it turns out..

About lights.. in fact, after 2-3 years of running out for gear, fancy lights and speakers that supose to impress other DJs, i come to ideea that as much gear you have to cary on, as much you ruin your DJ job. An asistent is must need, but still the music is the most important. So is just need to find a balance where gear not stole you time and energy but help you
