Matt, as a veteran of nine years in the Army, a few of my fellow vets who have lost their limbs told me about your commercial, and they said it honestly made them feel ashamed for complaining and weeping over what life has dealt them. Thank you for making them see they have more than just excuses to offer.
My gym teacher showed us this video today. Everyone was amazed at the guy in the video. We asked to watch the video again and again. This guy truly is a role model.
I have watched this SO MANY times. I don't usually make comments on youtube BUT I felt like I should say, this inspires me to action on days when I do not feel like it so thank you Nike and Matt Scott for this great reminder on cutting the BS and getting it done!
Hello! I am from Russia from the city of St. Petersburg, I am 35 years old, I have been running for 20 years. I have been drinking beer since I was 20 and now I’m drinking it too. When I ran the first 2-5 years it was hard for me to do it again and again, and it was this movie that looked at the time gave me a strong impetus to run! Then I turned it on specially when I felt bad, and it was raining hard on the street. I turned on this video and run ... And I’ve already reviewed this video at least once a year, for more than 10 years already! Thank you for having such people! Sorry, google translator. I will tell you a secret, I have one more video, which also has a strong effect on me, but it affects the memories from school, this video, which I watch at least once a year, for more than 10 years! ruclips.net/video/z4hQG-XTVa4/видео.html
I have a back injury that causes constant pain. For almost three years, I've worked hard every day to get strong again. At first, I could not even lift a coffee cup or open my own door or walk a few feet without a cane (and terrible pain). Now, I can do much more and I'm going to keep on working till I can do it all. Those of you who are able-bodied, know you are lucky and keep your bodies strong!
Starting starts with starting, not watching a video. Don't call me cruel cause if you'd ask Matt Scott, I guess he'd say the same thing - He just shows you how your inner self works without knowing you. One of the best videos I've seen the last few months.. Respecting that to the fullest!
Fantastic commerical. I love this guy already. This is something I'll stop my TiVo for. Way to go Nike for not only the content, but for finding this guy.
Shared this quote today at work and I was reminded of this commercial. Just sent the link along with the quote: “Rebellion against your handicaps gets you nowhere. Self-pity gets you nowhere. One must have the adventurous daring to accept oneself as a bundle of possibilities and undertake the most interesting game in the world - making the most of one's best.” -Harry Emerson Fosdick (1879-1969) Clergyman Thank you Matt and Nike....very powerful!
The message he is trying to convey with the "my feet hurt" excuse is that yea ur feet might hurt, but my feet dont work, but i still go out an give it my all.
Very inspiring commercial, wish a lot more people would get a good example out of this cuz this guy makes a great role model for anyone who plays sports.
I'm tearing up right now, just thinking of all the complaining I do. And all the excuses I make. Thank you Mr. Scott You've given me a lot to think about.
........noone can hate this commercial man...sht is too tufff man and true....ima watch this everyday to movivate me in anything i don't feel like doing..
i met Matt Scott at Toppers in Whitewater like almost two weeks ago at almost two in the morning. we talked for the next two and a half hours. one of the funniest men i have ever met.
this is very inspirational and very moving. i admit to making those excuses sometimes and it is unbelievable the amount of drive he has. I wish him the best of luck "got a case of the mondays... the tuesdays... the wednesdays..." makes me laugh everytime
I dunno who's in charge for the marketing at nike but this guy is a genius. They always, i mean always, are right on the money... Seems like the get why we do it, they just know the way we feel about sports... footbal, basketball, baseball... name it. BRAVO
You know, after I saw this I did kinda notice I make up alot of excuses for not doin stuff. from money issues to being tired or not really feel like doing it, or wanting to just not care. My father passed away 2 years ago and I think it's way past time to just live again. So thanks Nike for helping my boost my confidence in life and pushing through hard times.
