Keep us motivated in learning more to what seem to be very complicated at first. Keep going & well done. ;) Cant stop having a dose of this every day.
Thanks for all your work. I finished all 30 days today. I now have a good starting understanding of 360. I am very impressed with this CAD/CAM/+ system. I used UG and CATIA in the past. It is amazing to me how capable this software is. It will be all I need for my personal use in 3D printing and CNC routing. I plan on using your many other videos as I learn more about Fusion 360. This series has been fantastic, it's really helped me get to grips with this software. There's still a lot to learn, but it seems like if I'm having trouble understanding something, you already have another video that covers it in more detail! It must be a lot of effort to put together these videos in such an easy to understand way, so thanks for all your hard work, it's very appreciated.

Hi, I have been following this 30 day course. Is very instructive and easy to understand. Very good and well thought out course well done. Keep up the good work m8.
Thank you Kevin. Fantastic tutorial ! If you could add a video each for motion links and contact sets after joints video, it will make this series complete in all respects. Once again thank you very much.
Clear an useful are the words which come to my mind when I think to your tutorials Kevin, thank you very much ! One question about the animation side : you say rightly Fusion 360 may not be the right tool for complex animations, and of course you are right, but is it possible to animate some basic behaviors, like for instance here the tank going forward with its wheel rolling, and the tower turning right and left ?
Amazing tutorial. Thank you! I followed all 30 days. I hope you could make a tutorial for car design. I'm thinking it would be a good addition to your other tutorials as your instructional methodology would help a lot with all the intricacies of designing the surface of a car from beginning to end. Thanks again.
Hi Kevin, Just finished your 30 days beginners playlist. The best tutorials I came across. What a nice surprise after my earlier experience in ACAD RUclips video's (long time ago). Well structured and well explained without unnecessary detailing. Thank you so much. What will be your advice for the next step in my case knowing that my interest lies in mainly mechanical designs, CNC and 3D printing?
Great course, learned a lot. parametric modelling is new for me as I've always used Rhino. Chose to switch and expand modelling skills to Fusion instead of Solidworks and pretty happy about it, mostly thanks to your course. But what's next after this course to learn modelling advanced designs?
Great work, Brandon! After making it through this series... I always try to recommend a certain type of modeling technique based on the projects you'll most likely be working on. Remind me again, what are you mainly using Fusion 360 for? I have several playlists, which can help you learn surfacing, sculpting, etc - ruclips.net/user/productdesignonlineplaylists
Product Design Online mostly I just enjoy making things to 3d print. I have a couple of simple products that I designed, print and sell. But I am also interested in learning more about organic form modeling. I really am enjoying this so much I wish I could switch careers now and do this as a living.
hi kevin, Amazing tutorial I feel like I have learnt basics of fusion 360.I am student not specified to certain project, can you suggest What should be watched next??
I finished it in 3 months! (Learned others parts during the time) I'm graduated from complete beginner!!! (BTW the tank model isn't available for people to download so I just played with two sphere in different sizes.) Although I hadn't made many models or product designs yet but...I will try. I will stay still, master, there is still bunch I have to learn, thanks for your teachings so far :)
Congrats! I'm glad to hear you finished the course/series. You can access all the updated demo files here - productdesignonline.com/fusion-360 Best of luck with your future projects :)
Dear Kevin, thank you for great fusion 360 videos. They are really helpful and clear to understand. One question, could you do step-by-step tutorial how to model this tank or something like that? Thanks in advance.
Hi, _AlphaReturns_. I don't plan on making any YT tutorials for that, as I don't want my channel to get any violations. Maybe in the future I can upload a similar tutorial directly to my website.
This was really helpful! Thanks! Is there a way to get the annotation (the text itself) to show up during the animation? I would love to have some pop-up notes appear during my animation.
Thanks for this series. Helped me improve my Fusion 360 skills. One question about the animation workspace. Is it possible to animate a rendered version, for a more realistic appearance in the output video?
Hi, Spencer. I'm glad you enjoyed the series and learned a lot - thanks for following along. Unfortunately, you can only render motion links. Fusion 360 does not currently have the ability to combine a render and these full timeline animations. Cheers, Kevin :)
Thank You for the series, Now I will be starting one of your other playlists. Just something that bugs me a lot about the animation making is that it doesn't allow to move the components based on the joins. It gets so annoying when you want to animate how something works but you can only explode them. I hope soon they add a feature like "motion study" from assemble menu to animation page.
Thank you so much for your hard work and effort to do these videos which are great and very clear. I cann't think of anything you could do "better", it seems to me that the videos are perfect as they are. I hope you will reach 100'000 plus suscriptions or more in no time. thank you again.
Hi, Victor. Great question! Unfortunately, at this time only the background can be changed in the Render environment. The animation workspace is still pretty limited, not sure if they have plans to further develop it anytime soon as the priorities seem to be Design and Manufacture workspaces. Cheers, Kevin :)
Product Design Online Thank you very much for your reply! Your channel is very professionally made, I already subscribed, I hope you do well in your life!
@@victorrascon1716 Thanks! I appreciate your support. Best of luck with your projects and don't hesitate to comment if you ever have Fusion 360 questions. Cheers, Kevin :)
Hey, 4FunRC. The Animation Workspace is not the most intuitive... it certainly takes some "playing around" with to get used to it. If you think you'll utilize it for any product/assembly animations then it's definitely worth the effort. Thanks for your continued support! Cheers, Kevin :)
Hi, Chris. I'll have to make a page on my website with more in-depth recommendations and comparisons. In the meantime, here are some of the top couple of "hobbyists/small business" CNC and 3D Printers that I would recommend. CNC Machines -Carbide 3D Shapeoko -Inventables X-Carve -Mysweety CNC 3018PRO-M Mini (Budget) 3D Printers -Ultimaker (if you’re going to run prints everyday/24 hours) -Prusa i3 mk3 -Creality3D Ender-3 (Budget) I should note that these are all ones that I own, have owned, or have personally seen in action/recommendations from friends. There are definitely some more out there that could be on this list. As far as combo ones, I know there are a few out there, but I personally wouldn't recommend that. I've found that they either work well in one realm and not the other. Or, the required setup to switch from one type to the other makes it somewhat impractical to have it for both. I hope this helps a bit! Cheers, Kevin :)
which software is the best to choose when dealing with advanced animation and rendering (solidworks or Maya or what you prefer ) and thanks alot kevin for this tutorials .
Hi, Ahmed Adel Ali. I actually prefer KeyShot for advanced rendering and animation. It's very pricey though...so my second alternative would be 3Ds Max or Maya. Cheers, Kevin :)
Can u make a video of designing any vehicle like a car, tank etc. if you can. And also suggest what all should we know in fusion 360 to design the tank u did. Tell how you did the body and the tires
Hi, vaasanthass k. To design curvature of a car you will want to "master" the surface modeling tools that are all found under the "Surface" tab in the new toolbar UI. These surface tools let you focus on the exterior curvature, without worrying about the thickness until later on. For something like this take, you can complete it using the Solid modeling tools. It was created using the loft and sweep and extrude commands for almost all of its features. The key is to break it down into achievable sections that you can recreate with simple geometry. Cheers, Kevin :)
Thank you. Really helpfull series. Just weird that Animation has to be in Recording mode to actually perform the view changes. Also when Exporting. I'm using Community version 2.0.12888.
Thank you, Akash. I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. To help me create more Fusion 360 content please subscribe and share my videos with others looking to learn Fusion 360 for free! Cheers, Kevin :)
Hey Kevin, thank you so much for this great series! I really enjoyed it and learned a lot so I can finally leave FreeCAD and use this way better program now! Great to have people like you :) I have one question: let's say I have modelled a pen and also modelled a text that the pen is supposed to write. I am able to let the pen move along the text but I want to make the text appear piece by piece as the pen moves along. How would I do that or what do I have to search for? I've been searching online but it seems that I am not using the right words... Thank you!
Hi, MrsGynny. First, thanks for taking the time to follow along with the series! I'm happy to hear you enjoyed it and learned a lot. In regards to the pen animation, I'm afraid that Fusion 360's animation workspace is not the best solution for what you're trying to achieve. Fusion 360's animation workspace is fairly limited. It was built more for the presentation of design ideas...to show how a model works or was built. Therefore, there aren't really any features that let you make additions to the surrounding environment. You may be better off exporting your Fusion 360 built pen model into another program, such as Blender or 3Ds Max. Those programs will give you a lot more creative freedom to achieve what you're describing above. Cheers, Kevin :)
@@ProductDesignOnline thanks for the quick reply! I was thinking of blender as well as an alternative. Stupid question but what kind of format should I export my objects to make them useable in blender?
@Kevin - Since animation only works with components, not bodies, my question is; If I build a component, can F360 still generate G-code for my CNC milling operations? thanks!!
Hi Getis. Yes, that is correct - components can be used in the Manufacture (CAM) environment. In fact, it's actually best you have components. I would recommend watching my video that covers bodies vs components - ruclips.net/video/TzG2deElWqI/видео.html It clears up some of the confusion around them :)
Thanks for the great tutorial:) Is there a way to change background colour to green for further editing in Filmora video editor? I know I could do blue screen as well but I have blue parts in my design and the editor will make them transparent as well.
Hi, Uroš. Unfortunately, there is not a way to easily change the background color within the Animation Workspace (at least at the moment). There is a workaround where you can somewhat achieve this by changing the background color in the Render Workspace and then create a motion study, similar to what's done in this video - ruclips.net/video/GJD2_u0s2z0/видео.html Cheers, Kevin :)
@@ProductDesignOnline thanks again for really quick response. In the meantime I discovered a way :) I simply made another object behind my design an painted it in matte green, non reflective surface.Just like in the real world. And it worked ;) Thanks to your tutorials on RUclips I am able to design and present the product for your kind of work. Still work in progress but coming to an end soon.I’ll keep you posted.

I would love to be able to custom design chess pieces for my son. Would sculpting be the best way to go? Would you show us how?. Thanks for the great lessons.
Hi, Tubeularful. Can you provide some images of what you had in mind? There are a lot of variations of chess pieces. The type of modeling would depend heavily on the type of design. Cheers, Kevin :)

Well structured and well explained without unnecessary detailing. Thank you so much. What will be your advice for the next step in my case knowing that my interest lies in mainly mechanical designs, CNC and 3D printing?
Great series! What series or videos would you recommend after completing Learn Fusion 360 in 30 days?
Great course, learned a lot. parametric modelling is new for me as I've always used Rhino. Chose to switch and expand modelling skills to Fusion instead of Solidworks and pretty happy about it, mostly thanks to your course. But what's next after this course to learn modelling advanced designs?
I finally made it through all 30 days!!! That was awesome. What do you recommend to start on next?
Great work, Brandon! After making it through this series... I always try to recommend a certain type of modeling technique based on the projects you'll most likely be working on. Remind me again, what are you mainly using Fusion 360 for?
I have several playlists, which can help you learn surfacing, sculpting, etc - ruclips.net/user/productdesignonlineplaylists
Product Design Online mostly I just enjoy making things to 3d print. I have a couple of simple products that I designed, print and sell. But I am also interested in learning more about organic form modeling. I really am enjoying this so much I wish I could switch careers now and do this as a living.
you are the best Kevin!
hi kevin, Amazing tutorial I feel like I have learnt basics of fusion 360.I am student not specified to certain project, can you suggest What should be watched next??
I finished it in 3 months! (Learned others parts during the time)
I'm graduated from complete beginner!!! (BTW the tank model isn't available for people to download so I just played with two sphere in different sizes.)
Although I hadn't made many models or product designs yet but...I will try.
I will stay still, master, there is still bunch I have to learn, thanks for your teachings so far :)
Congrats! I'm glad to hear you finished the course/series.
You can access all the updated demo files here - productdesignonline.com/fusion-360
Best of luck with your future projects :)
Thank you Kevin!
TOP tutorial! Thank you!
As always, excellent... Thank you.
Thanks, Wm Robert Leschyna! I appreciate the kind words. Cheers, Kevin :)
Love it!!! Super helpful video Thx!
Dear Kevin, thank you for great fusion 360 videos. They are really helpful and clear to understand. One question, could you do step-by-step tutorial how to model this tank or something like that? Thanks in advance.
i finished this year ago it was sooo helpful
Hi. I was wondering if you could make a tutorial on making a simple pistol, that would be amazing. Thanks.
Excellent tutorial!, thanks.
Thanks, Luis!
Awesome tutorial!
Thank you Kevin
Thank you! Do you know if it's possible to change the background color?
Really good and informative video. Now I feel the need to go back to some of my designs on thingiverse and make assembly animations.
Thanks, Dsk! You should! The Animation Workspace is often overlooked in Fusion 360... but it can be pretty fun to play around with. Cheers, Kevin :)
@@ProductDesignOnline so I went ahead and made the animations, thanks to your video

@@Dsk001 Thanks for sharing this! Awesome job! I'm going to share this on Facebook :)
Hey, :) Stunning.
Someday, I too will be able to do (understand) this. :°)
Hey Kevin, any thoughts on CNC systems, 3-d printers and combo systems? I'm more of a hobbyist / slightly small business.
Thanks
Hi, Chris. I'll have to make a page on my website with more in-depth recommendations and comparisons. In the meantime, here are some of the top couple of "hobbyists/small business" CNC and 3D Printers that I would recommend.
CNC Machines
-Carbide 3D Shapeoko
-Inventables X-Carve
-Mysweety CNC 3018PRO-M Mini (Budget)
3D Printers
-Ultimaker (if you’re going to run prints everyday/24 hours)
-Prusa i3 mk3
-Creality3D Ender-3 (Budget)
I should note that these are all ones that I own, have owned, or have personally seen in action/recommendations from friends.
Amazing tutorials and a very good lecturer.
Thank you. Really helpfull series.
Just weird that Animation has to be in Recording mode to actually perform the view changes. Also when Exporting.
I'm using Community version 2.0.12888.
Thank you
Thank you, Akash.
Great to have people like you :)
I have one question: let's say I have modelled a pen and also modelled a text that the pen is supposed to write.
@@MrsGynny You'll need to export as an STL from Fusion 360 and then import the STL into Blender. Cheers, Kevin :)
Yay! I’m finally done!!
Congrats, John! :)
I would recommend watching my video that covers bodies vs components - ruclips.net/video/TzG2deElWqI/видео.html
It clears up some of the confusion around them :)
@@ProductDesignOnline Much appreciated. Watching it now!
There is a workaround where you can somewhat achieve this by changing the background color in the Render Workspace and then create a motion study, similar to what's done in this video - ruclips.net/video/GJD2_u0s2z0/видео.html
Cheers, Kevin :)
@@uroskrompic3767 Great workaround you figured out! Thanks for sharing this with everyone. I'm happy to see you're learning a lot. Keep me posted with how it goes! Cheers, Kevin :)
@@ProductDesignOnline hi again. I promised to keep you updated......here it is......designed and animated in Fusion 360. Edited in Filmora 9.

And YES, I really am a bus driver in real life ;)
the decreasing number of likes in every video of the 30-day series gives an idea of how many peeps made it to the end XD
I want see more video of rendering and simulation
I would love to be able to custom design chess pieces for my son. Would sculpting be the best way to go? Would you show us how?. Thanks for the great lessons.
Hi, Tubeularful. Can you provide some images of what you had in mind? There are a lot of variations of chess pieces. The type of modeling would depend heavily on the type of design. Cheers, Kevin :)
Record a video showing how you have designed this military Tanks in fusion with step by step
I can't seem to download the model, I have logged into Autodesk thinking this would provide the link for download.
thank you ☺️💕
Thanks for watching, Kannan :)
Should the annotation be included in the published animation?
Thanks a lot........
Yay! Completed.
Congrats, Hari! Great job!
