One thing special about this movie was Director Mani Ratnam Sir have used more realistic Cinema than CG works , have to congratulate his hard work 👏 🥰
Pure Graphics, VFX films paathu salichu pochu. Every historical/epic/mythological/grand film is just tons of VFX these days. It's so refreshing to watch the Cholas' magnificent grandeur and beautiful simplicity as it would have been... Lush greenery, fertile lands, the great Cauvery... So naturally filmed!

I am a Malayali. I heard of the classic novel PS only after the teaser of PS1 launched. I started reading the Ps1 novel. Now after the launch of Ponni nadhi song, I can imagine Vallavarayan as Karthi only. And Kundhaivi as Trisha..
Anushka is more suitable for kunthavai than Trisha.

When I read Ponniyin Selvan for the first time, First chapter pudhuvellam -Adithirunaal literally gave me an imaginary picture of vanthiyathevan's long travel on his favorite horse back and the festivities when he enters the Chozha kingdom....it was awaesome...I can totally see that here!
