Blacksmithing - Forging a Pair of Axe making Tongs

  • As I was forging the folded axe a week back I was finding it quite awkward to handle the axe blank. To remedy this for the next try at forging a folded axe I decided to make a pair of hoop or axe making tongs.

    As many blacksmiths I've watched making axes and even one that it's all he makes I haven't seen a pair of tongs like that Great job making them!!

      99% sure it's mild steel, no reason to make them out of anything else.
