Been skiing for I think around 15 20 years with a break to try snowboarding, we usually go to marmot every year! Great mountain! And it's only 4 hours away!

Nice! Yeah it’s a gem for sure, glad you’re able to make it out. Good luck with snowboarding, takes a bit longer to get the hang of but it’s worth it on those deep days.

Great video. I always wondered what it looked like over on that side of Marmot. Thanks for the sneak peek!

Great...just completed for the second time today. Wind loading is an understatement. Gale force nearly blew me over the edge.

Nice! Yeah, it can get very windy up there, even when I made the video I was struggling on the traverse at the top as well. Glad it was worth the second trip!

I’m from town and that’s my favourite run there and I’m 11

I did a run down Tres Hombres once in 2018/19 season and the run was alright, nothing special (the snow wasn't good at the time). I could see it being a blast with some fresh stuff. But that traverse at the end is horrible for a snowboarder. Absolute torture. I hope they've improved it somewhat since then or will be doing so this season.

Rebecca Carlson haha, I actually find those tight traverses fun on a snowboard, really improves the edge control, like surfing a wave! but I do understand it’s not for everyone.

@@RyandeMilliano We didn't know what we were in for when we got to the traverse and didnt have the speed to maintain the trail. That was the biggest issue. I'll have to try again this year and see if I can make it out without getting stopped up.

Tres Hombres is okay but the traverse out is pathetic, at least last year it was. Marmot Basin needs to work on that.

Definitely get where your coming from, it is challenging for sure, but understanding that National Parks are extremely restrictive when it comes to removing trees at all gives you some sympathy for them. I am just amped to get access to a new bowl!

@@RyandeMilliano Yes but honestly another lets say 700-800 trees would mean alot to their customers which is what keeps them in business. 700-800 trees in my opinion is nothing, Marmot has always been idiots though. Last season I was thrown off the mountain because one of their (knob) lifties not paying attention while I got on the lift while it was closed for bombing. I honestly didnt see the sign if it even was up and obviously they didnt have it ropped off. I was mocked by their ski patrol over and over when I got off the lift like I did it on purpose or something!! Like who the fuck would do that for fun!! Just complete assholes, was my first run of the day, who the fuck would do that wake up you Dumbasses!! I made a decision not to ever ride there again due to their LOW class way of operation, Banff have always been SO much Higher class in every aspect anyways so Win Win for me. Jasper has a very Klicky feeling to it also like theyre so special or something, they need to learn alot and hire new Management or they will be stuck in their old fashioned mindset. Way too many problems with them over the years, and unless your a local or whatever I strongly suggest going Banff 100%
