Hi Andy, unfortunately we've found that tumblers won't work due to their small capacity. The average dryer tumbler is 5-7 cubic feet, meaning maybe 3-4 cubic feet of material can fit in there and that won't be enough to get the pile hot. Tumblers are still an option but they would have to be at least 60 cubic feet in capacity and with the heavy weight when full, it would be need to be mechanized in order to turn.
@@Petpooskiddoo that's cool so. If I got a basic like tub drilled some holes in it and put soya bean stuff with the dog poo and leave it will it eventually turn to compost x
@@rapbattlecarnage3878 Make sure to follow the videos. You will need to mix on a regular basis and add in the pine shavings and lime as needed when the waste is wet.
@@Petpooskiddoo yeah so even if u don't put a new load of poo in do u still have to. Put some ssoya bean in cause u give me instructions on how u do ur routine if thts OK just to get me started and do u sell ur compost when it's done and also is the bottom of the earth tub bottomless
@@rapbattlecarnage3878 Yes, so you always want to sprinkle a bit of soy bean meal in every time you add more dog waste. The Earth Cube is not bottomless, it is mostly an enclosed container except for a drainage port towards the bottom front, and a small opening at the top (covered with an open roof so rain doesn't get in).
This is awesome...
Does the lime really help the smell in that area?
Make a tumbler out of a old dryer.

You need a soil mixer like they have in greenhouses 😉
Why so much effort.??? U seem to have so much land. Just dig a pit n throw it in n cover with dried leaves waste. Why so much drama...!!!
Is it soya bean meal tht u use?
Soybean meal - you can find large bags of it at farm supply stores as it is a common supplement mixed into horse feed for extra protein.

Did your hair touch the dog poop?
This is soooooo much worrrrrrk. Just dig a hole and make a underground compost with a cylinder trashcan with a lid and your g2g!
