"Kites, Tombs, and Houses in the 'Land of Conjecture': New Discoveries in the Black Desert, Jordan"
The eastern panhandle of Jordan includes the Black Desert, a harsh basalt-strewn region with a single asphalt road and few water sources. Few archaeological research projects operated in the region with the exception of pioneering investigations by Betts and Helms in the 1970s and 1980s. With the initiation of the Eastern Badia Archaeological Project in 2008, Rowan and his team began to recognize that thousands of structures, previously unknown, undated, and of unknown function, clustered the landscape. In this talk, Yorke Rowan discusses recent discoveries of tombs, petroglyphs, well-built houses, and vast chains of hunting traps across the landscape, all of which suggest the environment was quite different to what we see now.

The kiting activity, you are describing, reminds me of how the Native North Americans used natural cliff faces as want are termed "buffalo drops", where bison herds were stampeded over said cliff to their deaths.
Similar rock formations to the kites are found submerged under the Great Lakes of North America.

The black basalt rock gets hot in the sun, so that constructions could not be very suitable for human dweling. Maybe for the cold desert nights, heat capacity of the rock could be useful, but to build these objects it is too much effort, they could find other ways to keep warm at night. But I think these rock buildings could be used to dry the fresh meat after hunting: the black rock gets hot, while the air can move freely in the gaps between the rocks and the construction can protect the meat from svavengers. If they just hang up the meat maybe they can protect it from land animals, but not from birds. It seems they hunted in big scale so they had huge amount of fresh meat that they must preserve someway in that hot climate. Also it seems that it was a remote hunting place but they did not live there, it could be a further reason to preserve the meat.

The greatest of the frustrations, being unable to see the past.

my thought would be it was water collection/management with the "walls" to guide it to pits that holds the water. I wonder if the path is a decline gradient.
How did/would these kites keep animals in? Like mentioned hard to call it a wall unless dirt has accumulated covering most of it. how would it keep a gazelle that can leap high. I didnt see really any proof that it was for trapping animals just one gazelle body. do we have examples of this actually been used in such as way? how was this idea formed? we see glyphs in other areas that dont have traps.

I suggest you do an electro- magnetic and astronomic review of your geographic study area.

Its pretty nuts to check this place out on google maps, covers such a huge area, I made a video a little while back detailing some through google earth here: ruclips.net/video/Tiyo7ortzWQ/видео.html
Also, this place reminds me a lot (from the satellite view) of the so-called cattlekrawls in South Africa

That whole plain looks as if it was struck by intense plasma outbursts that basically burn the place up.

It was done with sunlight. Take 1000 men controlling 1000 kites with even mediocre parabolic gold mirrors flown in array, and you could cook the whole place in a day. Plasma would have caused iron particles to either lose magnetic coherence or gain it which would form clusters which they don't find, though I doubt most even know that fun fact. Had to look through all their finds to make sure there were no ferrous clusters. There weren't. Kites, and sun...more deadly than a small nuke..and your men could walk through five minutes later. Try that with U-238...
