in her genius interview she said it was actually about the tech industry in general
Yeah in the genius interview she said that I was about the industry entirely, not just Elon musk. She said she chose him to kind of stand as an idol for the girl in the song because he is very big in the tech industry, and seemed like an obvious choice.

when the song says “when I said take me to the moon I never meant take me alone I thought if man could tour the sky it meant that everyone could go” it reminds me of when Isabella offered her the position of becoming a mom and emma refused. It also reminds me of initially when they were planning to Escape and Ray said not to take the kids and she refused that too

I thought “A Modest Proposal” was published anonymously? This mad Malthus did have a lot of very harsh views on how population should be tracked and reproduction should be monitored. It’s possible that it was written by him tho, I don’t really know that much.
