    Just so you know. That is a Thunderbolt Port on the Back at 40gbs..The one on the side is a Type C 5gbs port...The HDMI is 2.0 and the Display port is 1.4... SO you get HDCP movie content at full HDR resolution.. Why people need to read those specs real close. As not all monitors provide that Information... Why I Bought this Monitor....I love Dells 3 year no hassle warranty....
    Just to add. The Q model comes with the 1.4 Display port Cable. The QM comes with the HDMI 2.o cable...

    Great video James! :)
    I'm thinking about buying the U2720Q or the LG 27UL850 for using it with my MacBook Air (2019) for coding & other office work.
    Almost every video on RUclips says that the LG 27UL850 is the best 4K+USB-C monitor for Macs.
    Which one would you choose and why?

    You made me buy this 😂. I paid $522 in US, waiting for it. Just wondering if it was priced better couple of months back.
    One of things that made me buy over a similar LG monitor (60W USB PD) is that the stand. The swivel base is a must for me, eliminates a desk mount.

    • @manoj238
      @manoj238 4 года назад

      @@oliviaeff4154 I like this monitor. I don't game and this is perfect for me.
      Purely on display aspect, LG is good too and slightly cheaper. But I chose this for mainly two reasons.
      1. Ergonomics: I swivel the screen a lot and with LG I need to buy separate mount for it. I had used LG-UK650 before and I hate that limited mount. Absolutely love the ergonomics of this one.
      2. The 90W PD: Really keeps my desk clean with no laptop charger needed. Just plug USB-C to my laptop and I am good to go. The monitor has a USB-C and USB-A downstream ports for connecting peripherals so acts as dock too (wish it had memory card slot, but I am okay since my laptop has one).
      So I recommend it. Hope it helps.

    • @JamesLeow
      @JamesLeow  5 лет назад

      the edge bezel of the monitor is about 0.65cm. So when you combined both side by side it will be around 1.3cm thick...I think it will still look really thin if you combine 2 side by side.
      You can consider combining them using the Dell Dual Monitor Arm | MDA20 too.
      Side Note: you cant feel the bezel because its build internally. the screen is a 1 full piece construction, sort of like iPhone...you see the side bezel but u cannot feel it.

      I'm in exactly same situation to decide. I've a P2418d from Dell and the monitor doesn't bring any sluggish situation with MBP Late 2018 (8Gb of RAM, shared with GPU). Consistently my RAM goes to the limit and computer stars to paginate - you don't fell that because the HD is very fast (1gb/sec writing and 2.5 gb/sec reading). I've big concerns running the MBP 13, 8Gb ram on 4K to be honest.
