I picked up the 101s about 6 months ago, off ebay, and I love them with the exception of the shafts (too stiff). I hope to get them reshafted this winter and put them back in play in the spring
I'm getting the 301 cbs this month. I think I'll grab one of these when they're bavk in stock too. Been looking for a hybrid/driving iron for wild driver days.
Ironic for me that you're reviewing a driving iron. I cleaned out my shop over the weekend and found my Step Dad's clubs. He passed away almost 20 years ago. Just a mish mash of you know what from the 80's. Complete with an Arnold Palmer signature driving iron. It's soooooo thin it's ridiculous. Persimmon woods and all different brands of blades. The best was finding our scorecard from the last time we played. He was the one who introduced me to golf, so there was a bit of tears when the scorecard came out. I want to clean up his sticks and take them out for a run around the course just to honor him, feels fitting.
@moonface978 thanks. I think honoring those who passed a great game on to us is fitting. I think it helps reconnect to the roots of the game. It's not about the score but about enjoying the game. If only I had some balata balls to play too
@@industrialpalletworx3548 My father passed a few years back , he was left handed and I’m right , so I can’t use his old clubs, I moved away from the course we both used to play many, many years ago but you’ve inspired me to go back and play it one more time , hopefully I can pick a quite day and I will just play it on my own with just the memories as company
I got the takomo 101 and i love them. Ive been struggling with my woods but hit my long irons good and based on my experience with their irons it was a no brainer i ordered the 4, 3 and 2. Hope they help my game.
It really depends on where they have holes in their bag. If they hit a lot of “long iron/5 wood” shots in a round and struggle with that, this could be a great club for them
I bought the 2 iron. Garbage. Weak shots. Horrible bounce. Nothing like well known brands. I hit the ball high and I damn near barely get it to 12’ high and pretty much same distance as a 5 iron.
Do NOT buy Takomo! Worst customer service I have ever dealt with! They shipped me the wrong irons and refuse to allow me to return! It is a $698 mistake!! Don't do it!
I agree. They have almost no customer service. They are a internet site for orders but little to no support. 6 emails to buy a replacement club and not a single response in 6 months.
Takomo and Caley Golf are the exact same clubs from the same Chinese factory. You can buy a Chinese head and call it anything you wish, making your own club company. Hell, the Chinese just stole the engineering from Taylormade and other companies. Takomo’s 101t is called 01t in the Caley clubs
Do you use any Takomo clubs?
i bought this 4am the day it came out.. its ok hits the ball kinda high for me but i do like it.. i bought the 2i as well
@@bknoxx nice!
jus started abt a couple months ago but use the 101 irons and i don’t have any complaints takomo is definitely bang for ur buck

what an awesome story man, thanks so much for sharing! You definitely need to take those clubs out for a round
@@andrewjensengolf No worries there. It will happen.

Takoma has really been making a name for themselves! Great value for money with this utility iron!
Hell yeah!
Appreciate the review. After hitting this, would you recommend it to a mid-handicap player?

Your "misses" that are steep, are dead straight and look pretty damn good!
Time to get it in the studio for some Mevo+ numbers
Hell yeah!
Man for me its how good they look no giant plactic sticker on the back
Is that Palm Valley?
Good eye 👊🏼
It's often hard to get a spot in the grass out there!
the 2 iron is juiced lol. stock shots fly high but easy to hit it low too
Take them head to head!! Let’s see it
Those calves though

Well then they obviously didn’t make enough🤷♂️
It’s like they only order once they collect enough orders after payment to fund the run of clubs.
Coachella? 🤮
Exactly
