It should be fine to use a hairdryer on the skin’s edges. Other brands making Steam Deck skins actively encourage the use of a hairdryer.
Right since not all of us own a heat gun but also helps the longevity of the skin

The white strap is so you can pull your Deck out of the case. Like lay it flat and put your Deck in and next time you need to take it out pull up and it helps it come out.
Okay thanks I didn't know that. Honestly if I didn't already buy the skin I probably would not go through that trouble again. The switch is much easier to skin.

You can use a heat gun / hair drier to fix the crinkles on the edges of the skin
