Happy Easter Wade and family!!! 😁
All the pressure of making the business profitable is always there, can understand the why you make the choices you do.... and no one was hurt and no plant broken, so it was a success!!!
Tempers will get frayed, more so when working with family, looking at the bigger picture is probably not the easiest thing to do ..... but needs doing to make sure all the smaller bits fit together 👍💪💪💪

Always trickier when working with family, but no doubt you two work well together and got it done without breaking anything and most importantly no one got hurt. All in all of day that was successful. And I have to agree with what you were saying as I work construction, and anytime you can achieve the same result without compromising safety, quality, or otherwise, then it winds up adding to your profit and is well worth doing. Keep up the great work my man 😁👍

Hey Wade. Your last couple of videos have featured some really great logging footage. It looks like you guys are moving an enormous volume of Tulip Poplar logs in a short amount of time. It might be interesting to your viewers to get some footage showing this big polar order being manufactured inside the sawmill. Poplar is a beautiful hardwood and is really interesting to watch the logs being sawed. Just a suggestion. Thanks for another great video!

You dad makes it possible for you all to do your jobs.
People think the owner of a logging concern, even little one, has it easy.
The owner works harder than everyone. He does all the thinking, all the procurement, all the paperwork, all the payments, and still has to work and keep a crew going in the right direction.

If I knew some girls who are thinking about careers and didn't want to do the stereotypical girl jobs, I'd go through all of your videos that have Big Momma working in them and let them watch them. She can do a lot of the boy jobs and still be a mother and grandmother. She needs her own fan club.

Question: trying to decide between a skidder or dozer. 200 acres, very steep sides, nice road along the top. Mainly to recover downed trees and trash wood left by loggers. Plan to leave the unit on the property.

    • @LoggerWade

Dozer is more versatile but skidder faster at dragging... my gut says dozer but I'd have to know more before I was shore

I think what you need is to come up with a boom Lock. To hold it up So it doesn't leak down. So you have all the power to pull with.

Happy Easter Wade. Regardless of what industry you are in, time (labor) is your biggest expense. Even on a T&M job, if you can keep your labor expense down, you have happier customers and you are able to move on and to more projects = more dollars. Also, on your boom.... What if you fabricated a boom lock similar to a boom lock on backhoes to hold your arch up and relieve some of the hydraulic pressure?

My birthday 🎂 66 and feeling good. This one was hardest recovery. Just the same damn rock I've been pushing up hill for years. If I could just find a ⚒hammer I'd have this thing whittled to the size of a marble in a thousand years or so..🤔

    Hi Wade, Happy Easter!
I really enjoyed hearing you talk about “working smart”, always keeping the big picture in mind, because every component and functional process has critical interdependencies - stressing breakage as some of the worst things to happen.
Can you tell I am a retired project manager?
Do you think more prep for the next boom location will help it in & out of the deck better?
    Stay safe; God Bless!🙏

I learned something long ago, If somethings difficult you’re doing it wrong.
Clarification: i’ll make it simple, imagine you trying to get a bolt off. It is three kinds of stuck, you think, oh I’ll just apply more force because this is difficult. Well, you’re about to break something. You could apply some penetrating oil, some heat, am I turning at the right way?. When you run into a situation that seems unnecessarily difficult take a step back to see what you’re doing wrong.

I have a question. Would I be more quicker to have the other dozer sitting on the new job so that you could leave this one on the old job . That way it's just operator running back and forth . Instead of loading and unloading . Like dirt perfect does with his 850s .
