I had somewhat of the same problem on my c230 and it was the ecu it had water damage. I popped open the ecu and I could see corrosion. I took a spare ecu and the broken one with me to dudmd tuning in Auburn and he cloned it and had me back on the road same day. They told me on a bad ecu no fault codes would show

Good video and troubleshooting Brooks! So from what you're saying, a 5L ECU is quite similar to a 5.4... Does that mean you can tune a 5L ECU and run it on a 55 amg engine(5.4L)? Curious cause I've been wanting a tune but not without keeping my original ECU intact. Thanks and keep up with the chanel 👏.

Yes that’s exactly what I did for the C55, it’s a cloned 500 ECU
