Hurray! I'm so glad that I am finally able to comment on this socially critical and satirical sketch! I really did rush to make it to the comment section. Traffic was terrible though, goodness me...
This exact comparison is made in the book, "Sapiens" - economics and legal fiction and religion. A collective belief that enables humanity to organize beyond their immediate social circle.
This is how psychiatric drugs are being marketed. The only difference is that street drug-dealers are usually more ethical than psychiatrists and their product less dangerous.
FirsToStrike you have it the other way around mate!! Replace Cocaine with Adderall (both are speed), and H with Ritalin since both have a calming sedating effect 😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳
@@danielbrown1724 No, not to be a stickler but, they're actually both "uppers." if you wanted to find the legal "equivalent" to heroin and cocain you could mention: Uppers: Ritalin AND adderall (as well as caffeinated drinks ... and ginger based green teas) Downers: Muscle relaxers, pain-killers, sleeping medication, alcohol and foods containing tryptophan. They all have THAT effect There you go, you're welcome! :)
Nearly 10,000 views and no comments? What is this madness? Must be some kind of...market force distracting people from trivial arguments and needless quoting of a video everyone has watched.
Moved to the US recently. I think this is how business works over here.
Are you a drug dealer ?
Lived here all my life. You're right.
You're not wrong. I hope you've made it back over the Pond because it's miserable in the US right now..
Oh it is ridiculous
One of my favorite sketches.

Stephen Fry's a lot like John Cleese in this.
You are correct sir.

Banks in our country do this all the time, except the borrowers are the drug companies

The Blissful Zombie In fewer words...you're a joyless cynical idiot
I wasn't expecting it to be rife with comments buy iI was surprised that out of ten thousand people nobody had anything to say until I got here.
How's this: makes my very glad I never went to Business School and devoted my career to marketing.
It could have been that the comment section was disabled for some time...
Seems perfectly British to me.
A perfect explanation of market forces. Incidentally, the same explanation applies to Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy and God.
The market forces do exist however as with all rules, there are exceptions
@@TheBodyOnPC How did you watch a video mocking your beliefe with thousands laughing and still come away thinking you're right?
@@HumanTypewriter The person reeeeeeally believes in market forces.
@@HumanTypewriter yes an internet video is surely the best thing to base your beliefs on
@@HumanTypewriterhow many. Millions of commies laughed straight into their grave lol
Hilarious.😂
Second Comment!
I loved their sketched but they always end so poorly
How would you end it differently? (Not being a smartass, genuine question)
