Veey great video i was just explaining to someone and then i chose this video and it helped them understand thr country size with the ocean section if Grenadines
You completely missed what I feel is the greatest attraction in St.Vincent: Montreal Gardens. If you truly want to see paradise on this planet, Montreal Gardens, located in the Mesopotamia Valley, is a must visit. It's a private, seven and a half acre lush, flower-filled wonder. Anthurium, ginger lilies, bird-of-paradises and wild orchids are some of the species you will see. It's taken many years for the master gardener, Timothy Vaughn, a Welshman, to build the derelict flower beds and plantation into what I think is an intoxicating and magnificent botanical wonder. The gardens are nestled at the foot of an old dormant volcano, Grand Bonhomme Mountain, lending an air of grandeur that's almost unearthly in its beauty. You feel like you've stepped into a lost world the moment you enter the property. Words simply cannot describe this enchanting, off the beaten path wonder. If you ever visit here, you will understand why I'm in love with this property. You also neglected to mention the island of Mustique, within sight of Bequia. Home to the very rich and famous, it's a glamorous, upscale destination and expensive beyond the reach of most travellers. To visit, you must be a guest at one of the inns or guest of a resident. It's home to celebrities such as Tommy Hilfiger, Mick Jagger (owns 2 homes here), Bryan Adams, Shania Twain, The Cartiers, the Guinesses and the Middletons (Prince WIlliam and Kate, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visit frequently). Lord Glenconnor originally bought the 1400 acre island in 1958 and gifted Princess Margaret a 10 acre parcel on it. It's dubbed the one of the most private and safest places in the world with titans of industry and rock stars as frequent vistors. The Caribbeans most expensive home is here, called Terraces Mustique. Valued at over $200 million, it's hosted David Bowie, Queen Elizabeth ( 3 times), Jon Bon Jovi and a litany of famous and powerful people. Noel Gallagher, of Oasis, wrote most of his 3rd album here. The Mustique Company, an association created by the owners, handles all arrangements and villas. I was there in 2015 and saw the mega-yachts of Microsoft founders Paul Allen and Charles Simonyi moored nearby, along with sailing yachts Black Pearl, Mirabella V and a few others I did not recognize. If vacationing here, it's not unusual to bump into a celebrity or two during your stay. One last place I'd also recommend is Canouan Island, another of the Grenadine Islands that you probably never heard of. It's a place where 'billionaires go to get away from the millionaires'. Trump owns the casino there. Villas and accomodations range from $60 per night to $15,000+ per night. Some very fine snorkelling is found here. Red-footed tortoises are natives to this island. Canouan Estate Resort is on this island and is one of the leading luxury hotels in the world. It was voted the best private island resort in the Caribbean in 2021. Sometimes, one island really stands out from the rest and Canouan is one of them. Warm waters, gentle breezes and soft sand will make you want to never leave this place.
Dont say it so loud, it really is a paradise but that is our secret and most would agree we like it that way, if you do come, then its your secret paradise that is worth a trip or two, guaranteed you will love it.....
