It depends on the dynamic mic. If it’s gain hungry you will need a fethead. You should watch this video to find out.

l don't really know about sound card and microphone..which microphone brand should i use for home studio .. Sis
To be in a safe side, bm800 condenser mic coz it’s compatible with most of the sound cards. Most of the high end expensive mic requires an external 48v phantom power or fethead or both.
Which type of mic is compatible with x50?
Also may I ask if I use the build in mic on the earpiece does it work?

If you have the 6.35mm on the tip of the mic cable- use 6.35 mm female to 3.5 mm male adapter. It darkens on your dynamic mic, if it won’t work , use method from this video.

Can i connect pd200x directly to v8 sound card's dynamic port? It's will worked or not?
Using XLR to 6.35mm to the dynamic port of v8, didn’t work for me. If work when I connect a fethead then xlr to 3.5 mm to connect to the condenser mic port of V8.

WOW....this video really really helped me out. I just bought a Fifine AX8 dynamic mic and and was shopping for mixers...I had a different mixer purchased but the sale was refunded today due to the seller discovering a flaw in it so he issued me a refund. Needless to say I was scrambling to find myself another mixer and SAW your video here on the X50 which I had seen awhile back, but did NOT buy because I seen the different MIC connections. I am thrilled to stumble on this video so after watching this instruction of yours I went and bought this X50 mixer immediately !!! AND from watching your really helpful videos I made the decision to buy the "first mixer" mainly because the video demo you did on THAT ONE TOO (Synido Live 100)...YOU just put a huge smile on my face today !!!
