- Ryan Reynolds wasn't really that keen on taking on the role of the merc with the mouth in X-Men Origins.

Ryan Reynolds Explains How He Was "Forced" To Be In 'X-Men Origins' | Entertainment Weekly
/ ew Развлечения
At least Reynolds gives props to Scott Adkins here. Both men deserved a better Deadpool than the one shown in Origins.
Except he said "Scott Adsit" haha
Yeh dude, you could at least get his name right too
We as a public are so fucking lucky Ryan Reynolds is so extremely dedicated to the Deadpool character. That's the only reason we now have 2 beautiful Deadpool movies.
DP2 fixed everything
he fixed the timeline
Oh dear God give us a trilogy
hopefully:
DP3 wolverine
DP4 gambit
DP5 hope summers
I wouldn't be so sure new DP films are coming in such large numbers. Rumour is that there will be movies about X-Force, but Ryan Reynolds has said on multiple occasions he doesn't know if DP3 will come any time soon. He is very adamant in that the story has to be absolutely solid. Deadpool is a character driven story. They won't "just" do a movie about Deadpool kicking ass and breaking the 4th wall. There has to be a solid story and part of that is that Deadpool has to be at a low point (his words, not mine). That's why they killed off Vanessa early in DP2, because that broke him and caused the plot to move forward. If Reynolds doesn't think this kind of story is possible for DP3, it's gonna be tough.
Tapiola666 Jesus man spoilers
"Besides this 8-ball I just snorted" 😂😂😂
Davy Ozzmosis Jones keeping it real af
After the end credits scene in Deadpool 2, I'm so glad he played that shitty Deadpool in X:Men Origins Wolverine 😂
Played it? 😁 He shot it and then he went back to shoot it again
it paid off in the end
And he quite literally made up for it, as of Deadpool 2.
it was pure platinum as deadpool would say :P
It did cause end credits deadpool kills deadpool awsome like
I didn't know Deadpool when I saw X-men Origins so I didn't get why everybody was so angry. Now that I know Deadpool I would have gone bananas with that version. This also makes me very, very, very happy with the end credit scene from Deadpool 2! Go watch it! That movie was so much fun.
I like your pic 😁
"let's leave that out for realism"
Instead... he teleports :)
Victoria Em yeah, a movie with people that have metal blades on their arms or hand, have a diamond body, or shoot a laser beam (ik its not a a laser) but yeah realism.
Victoria Em what Smallville did for years
If he didn't accept that role in X-Men Origins he wouldn't play Deadpool later. Interesting
1:06 he was about to say fuck him up
I really enjoyed Wade's lines at the beginning of the film. No wonder.
Same.
1:31 did he say scott adkins? "bokya....boyka!...BOYKA!..BOYKA!..BOYKA!"
This is a true story. I talked to the actor who played Cyclops one time and he said the same thing, that they were just making the script up as they went???
And many of the CGI effects weren't even finished.
Which actor of Cyclops did you meet?
@@GrasshopperStudios2016the one from Origins I’m assuming
(I forgot Cyclops was even in that movie)
@@ecurb_2558 ah yeah, I follow him on insta. wanna guess how many projects he did after Origins, none. his next project was in 2012 [no disrespect to the guy]. just goes to show that sometimes you're first movie doesn't grant you greater opportunities.
If they just had him play wade while he's still normal then made him disappear somewhere (maybe he went off to get some chimichangas) and then just call the "thing" at the end weapon 11 I think it would have been acceptable
They literally did
"No, not in a good way.', LOL.
that was hilarious. mainly the ending, 'besides that 8 ball I just snorted'
it actually was added in comics as a joke. deadpool put two lazor pointers on the side of his head and strapped two swords to his hands.
LOL Which one?
Joshua Johnson what book? That sounds awesome lol
Sauce?
Sauce?
I loved x men Origins, and I liked how Stryker closed his mouth to shut him up, and as weapon x with a little of all their powers! It was fine for a cameo.
they were really idiotic to change Deadpool from the Merc With A Mouth to A Merc without a mouth
I sort of wanted to see the Deadpool that they created at the end of X-Men: Origins. I didn't care for how they revamped it at all in the Deadpool movies! 😤
@@judyb1539 revamped as in how he is actually portrayed in the comics? Fucking moron
@@judyb1539 I agree Judy.
@@judyb1539 what...? i would like to see a serious deadpool film but i definitely prefer Ryans version to origins
captain
deadpool
+aplayaz2000
no just deadpool
moore Nah! Just Deadpool!!
Good things can come out of very bad things. DP2 was perfect in my eyes
I actually like X-Men Origins, but I think of Weapon 11 as a totally different character than the Deadpool from the later films. I personally don't think it's even that big of an issue. I mean, it's kind of similar in the comics: Deadpool in the older comics is kind of a different character than what he became in the 1990s.
What he became in the 1990s? That’s when he was created. He just changed character from his first appearances to his later ones, especially once he got his own series.
Exactly
00:43 that noise had me tripping out for a second. Thought an owl snuck into my house
The end credits scene in Deadpool 2 makes up for the Deadpool in Origins. The timeline was corrected and all is good in the world. SHUT UP! YES IT IS!
He did go back in time and fixed that mistake 😆
1:31 scott adkins
Dan K HA HA! He said Scott Ads son
Ohhh I hate it when celebs get names wrong. Kinda sad for the person being misnamed
Haven't watched the X-Men movies in a long time but it would be cool if Deadpool fought his other self
he does it in the sequel well sort of he just shoots him in the head a bunch of times XD
I'm kinda happy they didn't let the other deadpool retalitate all thought that would of been funny
Thato Omphile he kills himself (the origins one) in deadpool 2
That was prophetic, my friend. As the others said, it happens in DP 2 :D
My fav part is when he shoots his self after landing the Green Lantern Role. Shit kills me everytime.
I see nothing wrong with the character he and Scott Adkins played in Origins. That character's name isnt even Deadpool, its Weapon XI. It clearly was supposed to be a unique character
0:45 where did that owl come from?
Scott Adkins Rocks
I actually like Origins and Green Lantern because the first half of both movies are really good but the 2nd half are such a dramatic drop off in quality I can see why people don't like them. I've never seen 2 movies have such variation in quality.
"You know what would be really cool, besides this 8-ball I just snorted" - Blurting that joke out like it was nothing is why this man isn't playing Wade Wilson, he IS Wade Wilson.
dont worry guys in deadpool 2 he makes things right with a few things hehe won't spoil but stay through the credits
guitarman0365 im fucking streaming it now
You fixed that in deadpool 2... ;)
it almost seemed like in origins he became the brunt of either a really lousy joke at his/deadpool's expense, and/or it was a deliberate "screw you, here's what we think of this character you won't shut up about" decision the studio forced on him. if that was the case then i would imagine he was a lot more frustrated about it than he lets on
On an unrelated note, I just discovered the phrase "calling an audible".
Well now we know Deadpool takes care of this little issue 😏
2:10 it'll work, haha
Would have loved to see Scott Adsit in that role.
All hilarious ryan himself too knew that someone definitely on high LOL
Im glad ryan knows whats up
The beginning part where they first attack the camp, was exactly Deadpool/wade Wilson. And that’s why I knew he’d do great when he had leeway to do his own movie.
He said Scott Adsit, the hilarious actor. He meant Scott Adkins the slightly less funny martial artist/actor.
He was born to play Deadpool nobody else could replace him. Like In all seriousness even off the movie he still acts like wade Wilson he should legally change his name lol
Just as Mark Hamill learned the Hollywood Sith are more powerful than any Jedi, Ryan Reynolds learned the suits can make Deadpool jump when they say jump.
Ryan Reynolds put Channing Tatums Gambit in a future installment!
With Ryan Gosling as the villain and Taron Edgerton as Toad!
Haha wow, Ryan renolds explained it very well
Did alot better from the xmen origins to the deadpool 2 standalone
Thats for dam sure!
More realism in the deadpool character himself if you ask me
Cheers ryan! :))
This could be a evilpool
Honestly, I get why they sewed his mouth shut. It was done as a payoff to the running joke of everyone wanting him to shut up (Stryker especially). That much makes sense and it is easily fixed to where he could have a mouth again, but the extra powers that aren't a part of his character was going too far. His only power was a healing factor that was granted to him by the project. He was also able to teleport via a special belt, but that wasn't a power of his. The optic blasts and the Baraka blades we're going too far, for sure. They would have had to translate those into the Deadpool stand-alone film and that wouldn't have grooved. It's a shame they dropped the ball, but that's what happens when you have the wrong visionaries working on a film.
DrummermanMatt I'm fine with the extra powers but deadpools best ability is his wit and the fact he could probably talk someone to death so sowing his mouth shut was destroying one of the most integral parts of the character and as payoff to a joke it was a shot joke with shit payoff
But it WASN'T DEADPOOL! If they had called the guy anything except Deadpool/Wade it would've been fine.
It might've been a little funny to see wade *still trying to talk* with his mouth sewn shut(and then translate the muffled voice in the subtitles) and still pissing everyone off and in the after credits scene he finally gets the stitches off and just goes crazy and starts breaking the fourth wall.
Nah it was just lazy writing.
he is able to teleport tho
Scott Adkins
slindrik420 is the most complete fighter
Boyka baby
X-MEN ORIGINS is pretty damn tough, actually. There's too much misplaced hate for that movie.
2:13
“You know what would be really cool besides this 8 ball I just snorted..” 😂😂😂 Hollywood at its finest so accurate fuck those guys for fucking up Deadpool
Scott Adkins was that guy? I did not know that lol
If it wasnt for Ryan, we wouldn't even know we were missing one of the best characters in cinematic history... Although I would like to see a serious deadpool film, without the fourth wall breaks and most of the humor. That movie would be a nightmare
Ryan's interviews are always amazing. And married to Blake Lively...(sigh) #IwantThatJob
it seems like he was between a rock and a hard place here ryan was trying to get Deadpool a movie and really do this character justice but the writers strike fucked up what could've been a cool Deadpool entrance in the marvel film universe.
It’s like they never read an X-Men comic the way they did Deadpool in this movie. Totally puzzling.
He was supposed to be his own character not actual Deadpool
Scott Akins is the actors name
Its 2018 and Deadpool did clean this problem :)
It's true that it made no sense whatsoever! I like the 2016 Deadpool much better! :-D
What?! Scott Adkins stunt doubled this dead pool?! WTF I did not know that
He still can't say Scott Adkins 🤣
Boyka played Deadpool at the end of the movie.
The extra powers were dumb but, let's drop the "his mouth is sewn shut" meme already. It sounds absurd by itself without context, but his mouth was sewn shut BECAUSE he's the merc with the mouth. He wouldn't shut up and Stryker got sick of listening to him. If you were in Strykers shoes you would have done the same thing. Anyone would. And it was ripped back open in post credits anyway.
Scott Adkins play that version of Deadpool. Boyka !!!!!! Google it!!!!
Rafael Miranda "I am the most complete fighter"
That intro, what the fuck man.
JUST CLEANING UP THE TIMELINE :)
Scott Adkins. Sounded like he got his name wrong
I would have loved to met the Fox executive that didn't listen to Ryan Reynolds or the fans and just did Deadpool incorrectly and bombed the character. I hope that guy is fired!
if it wasn't meant to be Deadpool it would have been pretty cool, but since it was it obviously didn't work.
Man, didn't know Scott Adkins played crappy DP.
I didn't like the deadpool in wolverine origins.
I'm sure we all knew this is what happened.
Good that the real Deadpool went back to the past to shoot the fake Deadpool!
I dont think it was that bad....deadpool in origins was more dark and kinda badass
Scott Adsen? C’mon Ryan
Yeah ok...
i like to imagine that the scientists sewed wades mouth shut in the deadpool transformation surgery on the fly because they found him too annoying
Its the fact that even ryan hated this "deadpool" that makes it worse 😑
Granted it's not as intimidating as bone claws or having the fingernails of a bag lady.
The Wade Wilson part of the character was decent
But the Deadpool part was absolute dog sh!t
HORNBERGER
🦄Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee try to tellllllllllllllllllll themmmmmmmmm
Who’s here after deadpool 2 😎
no problem that deadpool is dead Deadpool 2 kill him in the end scene
I like the movie just pretend his character has a different name
Whats an 8-ball
ZC drugs.
The only thing that could ever make my father love me
Its a good idea
I liked Origins way better than X1-3!
Bs
He should fly! No, he shouldn't fly for realism. How about he TELEPORTS!!!
I didn't know he played that shitty version also
pretty sure he wasn't forced. not like he's gunna die I he dosent
Nick Is Dank they sayed that he wouldn't be able to do the deadpool movie if he didnt
Hate me but I preferred deadpool in origins. His jokes were funnier and he was more confident
Mo You are in no way shape or form a fan of Deadpool then
Manwell If you thought that Deadpool was in any way a better character then the one we've had since, then you don't seem to really care about what the character actually is and prefer the watered down version
Mo 2k I think you mean "Wade Wilson" from Origins. If I'm honest, the Wade Wilson part of the film didn't infuriate me, it was the "Deadpool" at the end.
