When will people understand that just because someone doesn't rate your national team highly it doesn't mean he "disrespects" or "hates" it
You can't put Poland and Serbia in Group Stage and then proceed to put Romania, Turkey, Czech Republic and Slovenia in R16 which none of them even qualified to the WC 2022. How can you say that Ukraine would make it to the QF when they didn't even qualified for the WC since 2010. Ukraine didn't qualify from 1996 to 2008 for the Euro, lost in Group Stage 2012 and 2016. The only good Euro was 2020 with the QF. The Rest of the Tier List is pretty good but that part is not relatable

Obviously as a hungarian I'll be biased but I do definitely believe we have what it takes and we should be considered a Dark Horse finally. Time will tell, maybe this comment won't age well as we do have a very tough group, but I trust my team.
We may not be full of stars at every role but our team cohesion and fighting spirit is second to none. We also really want to prove the doubters wrong and I think that can potentially carry us far as well as a good group showing giving us momentum for the knockout stages. To all the doubters: don't write us off yet, we may surprise the world yet again.

I was really excited with Hjulmand as the head coach of Denmark. He did a tremendous job in the beginning, and it was great style, offensive football.
Now it has become defensive and slow. It has stalled unfortunately. The possession and defensive is solid, but there’s a huge lack in the creation and conversion. The play in the final third ain’t sufficient enough and it ain’t looking like it’s getting any better… but there’s good pieces there with a solid fundament.
And this is the tale of the Danish national team in a nutshell since late 90s
For Ukraine reaching QF once again will be a big success. On previous Euro we were lucky to qualify from the group and received not the strongest team in the R16. Ukraine became stronger since that time. But we no longer have an outsider team in our group (like it was with N.Macedonia last time) so it will be really hard to qualify.
Stronger?better keeper and striker but malinovsky is much worst nowadays,zinchenko level also drop and yarmolenko is just a retired player.You need a great euro by 5,6 starting players,lunin,zabarny,mudryk,tsinhakov,sudakov and dovbik to have a chance to get into last 8 and free of injuries.The bench is much worst than the first eleven.Even in the first eleven players like konoplya,brazkho,matviyenko are pretty average.
@@margaridacosta270 It was worse 4 years ago. We did not have a strong reliable forward. Defenders were weaker. That team was totally dependent on Zinchenko and Malinovslyi. And they played worse than Sudakov, Tsygankov or Mudryk currently play. That time we reached the QF by luck. We only beat North Macedonia in the group and qualified from the 3rd place and received not very strong Sweden as an opponent. We also did not have a reliable bench. So in no way that team was stronger.
Current team is definitely stronger and players keep progressing.
I agree that Konoplya and Brazhko are average players right now. I do not agree about Matviyenko. He is reliable enough and experienced. The fact that he does not play in top-5 championship does not make him an average player. In fact he could be sold to Arsenal and his price is more than 20M now.
We have Stepanenko who always was a highly experienced defense midfield. Brazhko is a substitute. Tsygankov is certainly better than Yarmolenko now. But Yarmolenko can play good enough for 15-20 minutes so a good candidate for substitution. We have Mykolenko in defense. We have Yaremchuk who can efficiently substitute Dovbyk. He is weaker, but still he can change the game (as it happened e.g. against Bosnia). We have Shaparenko - good enough (Sudakov-style) underrated player who was injured.
In fact - matches against Bosnia and Iceland were the first matches in many years were substitutions strengthen the team. Yes we still do not have reliable bench. But it is better than we had before. I do not think Slovakia or Romania have stronger substitutes.
Of course, we have little chances against top-teams. But we certainly can qualify from this group and if we have enough luck can win one more game in playoffs and reach QF. That is our maximum for now. But our players keep progressing and we will become stronger with time.

Albania played very well in their group for the qualifiers , but its sad how they are put in the group of death. I have to agree with Albania being grouped , but who knows? The eagles may push through , and get a good run like Greece!
Sams for my team Romania. We did so well with Drăgușin, Stanciu, Ianis Hagi, Florinel Coman and the manager Edi Iordănescu to top the group over Switzerland unbeaten in the qualifiers. Hopefully 2024 will be like 1994 for us. HAI ROMÂNIA 💪🏻🇷🇴💛

Actually, there's also a few hidden gems in the squad, who can make Ukraine a real dark horse. Defensive midfielder Brazhko, central midfielder Shaparenko and tricky striker Vanat. First one has potential to be the next Rodri, second - guy with 2 pair of lungs who beat Sudakov in most of aspects, both attack and defence. Vanat - 22 yo prospect, who managed to become both best striker and best assistant in Ukrainian league, 14+10 in 28 games. First two seem to be in main 11, Vanat will definitely be a joker. So maybe quarter-final is not their limit
As italian I think that Austria and Hungary can make surprises.My top favourite is Germany.For Italy is very hard,we have great prob with the strikers and right winger.

it's very good that no one is betting on Poland in this tournament, we will approach it calmly but also with great faith, despite adversity, we know that our qualifying rounds were unsuccessful, but in the match against Wales something sparked in the heads of our players, the incredible will to win was visible , taking this promotion out of the hands of the Welsh. Poles fought until the end and it brought the desired effect. It is possible that we will be eliminated from the tournament after three matches, but the most important thing for me is that our players stay with their hearts on the pitch and will not leave even an inch on the pitch for their rivals. Don’t sleep on Belgiums defence. If Tedesco decides to give the younger guys a chance, Theate, De Winter, Debast are 3 very very good options at CB. Faes is decent and Castagne is always reliable

I agree 100%. Also having an organised defense can help alot, even if the players themselves aren't world class individually. And Belgium also has alot of solid keepers outside of Courtois, which is also a big plus.
Imo, biggest problem is that, while we have talented young defenders, they still lack experience at the highest level. And our experienced defenders are either getting too old ( Vertonghen ) or just decent at best ( Faes, Castagne, Meunier ) which isn't really reliable against the other top teams.

Faes is terrible with Belgium (1 big change per game for the opponent), De Winter is unexperienced in the Belgian squad (1 cap), Debast is formed as a midfielder and he has problems to defend in 1vs1. Theate is decent and Castagne is good. But this defense is a mess and without Courtois I will be very surprised if we will get the semi finals spot
When will we ever learn that we shoudnt expect anything from germany rn. They dont need toni kroos they need more consistent defenders and players thta can actually play for the system.

I want to see Denmark win it. I believe they are a roulette wheel rn i can see them barely getting through to the 16. but i can also see them win it all. feel like when they play a worse team they do bad but when they play a world class team they play world class football. Before we played Germany at the last euros, everyone was saying that Germany would beat at us. When we won 2-0, these same people started making up excuses that it is a bad Germany team.
When Croatia KO us out in the semi finals of the 2018 world cup, everyone was saying we can't beat decent teams.
When we beat Croatia in the group stages of the last euros onroute to the final, these same people 3 years earlier were changing the narrative that we didn't beat anyone decent on our way to the final.

As a Belgian, I think we can do something, honestly. KDB is (in my biased opinion) the best midfielder the Prem has ever seen and Lukaku is a genuinly underrated striker, top scorer of the qualifiers. I think that if Domenico Tedescho calls up Alderweireld to play alongside Vertonghen, we can genuinly do something, even though they both play in the Belgian Pro League, they're both still good and Alderweireld especially, leading Anterwep to their first title in a long long time (like 70y or sum i forgot). And also Doku is one of my favourite players to watch, reminds me of Eden Hazard.
I have a little feeling that italy might take the tournament again by surprise, we may be playing a completely different game tactically, but watch scamacca.

Belgium is not as great as before si QF for them.
Serbia if improves defense may even go beyond R16, but if Serbia's defence remains this bad it will remain group stage
Very good goalkeepers, very good midfield, great attack, but defence is total mess.

I think Koeman has been doing well. It's difficult having to deal with all those injuries all the time and that may be a decisive factor in the euros as well.

I see Turkey higher than R16... they are a strong team, at least QF... and I think that Italy will make it at least to the SF. As for Germany... that one can rule and fail miserable at the same time. What I am fearing here is that the first game (against Scotland) end up with a defeat for Germany... and then they will lose all their self-confidence. They HAVE to win the first game (or at least a draw) because otherwise the press/media in Germany will tear them apart.
