This is actually how I've been using Google Maps on some occasions already. For example if I get hungry on vacation and want to eat something traditional, then I search for "restaurant with traditional local food" or "meat restaurant". So I'm glad to see AI is going to improve this type of usage even further. It was already quite good, but this will perfect it even further I think. I've told to people that this is how I sometimes use Google Maps and then they say they didn't know this was possible. Lots of people seem to use Google Maps in the traditional way by typing in an address and navigating to it, but Google Maps can do much more than that. It can interpret what you mean to a certain extent and AI will improve on that even further.
Paid for AI enhanced recommendations, so it's more likely that you actually use them. And Google can be sure to promise the store owner paying it that there's a 90% chance you'll visit in the course of about two months
Feature I want: 1. For a list of saved places, create a x-day itinerary. 2. When I select the direction to a place in the saved places list, don't remove the other saved places from the map. Very difficult to remember all the place names if I want to add multiple places.
Now the only problem is that at least in my country, most of the reviews are fake and only praise the various places. There are agencies who'd pay you to leave positive rating over Google Maps lol The reviews are becoming more and more unreliable. Reporting such reviews does nothing at all.
@@SantoshVarma9there is no android auto on Rivians. But Google maps data is now fed into the maps app on my Rivian. Like ratings and photos of locations. Sadly, no android auto though.
How about the easiest route from point A to B? Instead of 11 left hand turns onto busy roads or uncontrolled intersections vs intersections with traffic lights.
It's still nascent. I think they're trying to figure out where AI is beneficial within the app functions and when the user stays in control of the functions within the app and navigating the app. Meaning they will need to remap separating software and AI integration at the granular level. This is a big shift that the devs community needs to tackle.
It would be great if it could find more information about road closures and maintenance. It's one thing being told there is a delay, but if you know why the delay is happening, you can make better decisions. Is it just a traffic jam or is it because there has been a serious crash and the road is likely to end up closed for hours.
Bet they still haven’t fixed the issue of giving you directions to the wrong street because of where google marks the location. It keeps giving me directions to streets behind because that street is closer to the location, instead of putting me on the actual street of the address.
I work at 5 different locations. One single workplace address does not suffice. I used to be able to pin my work locations but Google took it away recently. DUMB!
I hope it helps, because I find Google Maps to recommend very bad routes, as I think it recommends the shortest routes and cannot differentiate between routes based on traffic lights, crowded conditions, or road quality, etc.
Listen to feedback from users Google! I signed up as tester. You need to get the basics better, so stay grounded like that first. You are trying too hard to make it simple at the expense of usability to pro-users
All the third party apps you know and love need to create gateways (or APIs) for their apps to talk to Gemini and vice versa. Right now, this framework is non-existent either on Android or iOS (Apple intelligence). The tech is still nascent. Let these developers breathe a bit. Lol I want to see their faces when they realize the work that's required to achieve AI integration. 😁
What she said doesn’t make sense. We look at all the review to fact check the ai. Isn’t that how the ai got the answer in the first place. She didn’t answer how it deals with fake reviews.
It's not natural user behaviour on Maps. One goes to Maps to find a place that's already in mind. Not exactly for completely open ended questions. Of course, behaviours can change. Will be interesting to see where this goes.
No difference from normal Google. it's another way for Google to extract money from advertisers. Keep Google Maps from A to B.Just as a map. Stop playing around. Focus on what Maps was built for.
Then your statement is kind of counter intuitive. You don't trust Google with anything yet you're using a Google platform. So why make a statement in that regard if you don't trust Google with the people, things, and apps these days in their platform? 🤦🏽♂️☠️

I use it somewhat the way that you use it. However, sometimes the results are not really on point. So hopefully with AI integration, this gets better.
AI Recommendations or Paid for Recommendations?

The possibilities are endless! Can't wait to see how everyone uses these new features 🗺
Please google add a tab options for multiple searches so we don’t need to check one route first and then have to delete everything and check another
Just like a tab options for multiple searches while travelling that would be game changing
Your new "Learn About" experiment is great! Can't wait to try this 😊
Google Earth UI update please. I’m sick of using an app that looks like it was designed in 1999

Why is there a RIVIAN in the back 😮
I saw that too. Maybe partnering with them?
She drove to work
Google has android auto versions of it's services now on Rivian. And they are looking to expand it further like volvo.

This was a right granular review.
Android Auto users still can't report objects on road, crashes, etc.. Maps for Android Auto could use some updates.
Shocking, it does work on Apple CarPlay. That’s so weird of Google.
Actually you can, update Android Auto to latest version. Tap on Yellow triangle symbol.
I have to say that I'm a lot more interested in grounded AI rather than having it clog up search.

Google maps is a technology that saves so much of my time and makes travel very convenient thanks Google

When are we getting these features????
When this new feature coming to google maps is it available in New York

Like Google search in maps?
When do we get this update 😊
Rolling out starting "this week"
That’s pretty cool 👍
Wish it ran as smooth as it is in this video on their own devices.

If you can now report incidents on Google maps like you can on Waze, then what's the point of having Waze. That was the only reason I downloaded Waze.
Waze and maps need to merge
Android only or Apple version too
Never mind. Answered at 5:04

Will it work with Android Auto?
I don't think so. This is just mobile. Maybe in a far future when they'll be able to master the mobile space first.
@@h.c4898 Android Auto connects to a phone though, they can easily do all the processing through the phone
❤🎉 Gemini Love
Didn’t already do this?

First, make sure Gemini works everywhere in the world
we all just want the google mapper car icon BACK!!!
I love her

Those street views are lying there instead of coming to upgrade their old views of my office street view on Cecilia road in Uganda 😅

I can not hear AI anymore
what's a "baaaaaaaaar"
Dear Google, please give Google Earth a UI update to look at least half modern and less ‘Windows XP’ before thinking about bringing in AI
I'm pretty sure it already did this stuff
Apple: only ios users can use our apps waaaaa
Google: This new feature is releasing on ios and Android
I’m looking forward to do multiple searches in maps Jesus who is gonna be the one that will make it?
So making money from info freely provided for users and paying back with stars. By the way Tom Tom still one million times better tool.
atlas book for elementary school student in early 90s most people dont buy it they buy other books
As long as Gemini doesn't work with Spotify and other apps, it's useless
Ask Spotify to integrate Gemini.

Can't they just fix the current neglected products instead of developing "new" features that do the same things in a slightly different format?
Why would I type these queries on GMaps instead of on the Search bar or some Gemini widget?
Why not? You act like we can’t have both.
It's not natural user behaviour on Maps. One goes to Maps to find a place that's already in mind. Not exactly for completely open ended questions. Of course, behaviours can change. Will be interesting to see where this goes.

Will they fix Google maps where it will finally give accurate routes and take you where you truly want to go? If not, this will not help.
