Gonna write it here too, like I wrote in the first part; Would love for you to do another run of Euthia! Coverage for this game is sorely lacking on RUclips these days.
So glad you finished this Colin! Gotta say, at first the game seemed like it wasn't my style but of course your playthrough pulled me in. I really appreciate all the hard work and hope your kids can be back in school soon!
I was so with you! I had already written it off but then as I played more I started to see the light! Gotta say in order to get the full experience you have to play a longer scenario as that is when your character truly begins to feel unique and awesome. I love the mining vs buying vs looting etc. Thanks for watching and thank goodness the kids are going back to school next week!!
At 9:06 that was a level 3 treasure tile, not a mining tile. Probably going to get a lot of new eyes on these video's since we are getting our games. Great playthrough as always!
So I watched this whole video yesterday. Then I decided to have a look at other scenarions on different yt channels (cause unfortunately You dont have any more here :( ) aaand.... oh boi, I cant even explain how much better to watch Your videos are. They all try to make EVERYTHING visible at once, every single board, stack or pile, literally rendering any text unreadable and hard to watch. Even on quite big screen - god save all those trying to watch on mobile. The editing You do is defnitely the right way to go.
Oh so glad the close ups help! It takes a bit more time but feels worth it in the long run. Thanks so much for the feedback and yes I need to do another scenario!
Thanks so much for finishing this :D I definitely like Mage Knight for the puzzly nature. The way it gives you those AHA! moments where you use cards in just the right way to beat whatever is in front of you is pretty unbeatable. I've got to say the combat here is kind of original and engaging though, albeit more random, and the character development is pretty damn cool.
You've knocked it out of the park, the combat is so unique and I love the progression of your character. Thinking of doing one where you fight a big boss at the end I think that sounds awesome... thanks so much for watching!!
@@OneStopCoopShop Please do! You seemed overly capable of taking on just a level 1 and 2 here so it was a bit anticlimactic. Keep making stuff and I'll keep watching (and spreading the word as best I can as to how good this channel is :) It's very much appreciated.
I am aware the year is still young, but it's currently my game of the year. I do agree with your Mage Knight comparison near the end. Thanks for the great playthrough, as always!
I am with you! I think my biggest complaint is that in order to get the full breadth of the game you gotta play the longer scenarios. So you just have to have enough time and want to put in that effort to get the most out of the game! Thanks so much for watching!
@@OneStopCoopShop Yeah, the first one feels more like at tutorial. Those lvl 2 monsters are no joke. You have to have a bit of equipment and gaar handy, or else it won't end well.
@@OneStopCoopShop Have you tried the dwarf Skoldur who uses Gwurt tokens (the red ones) instead of gaar? They each give minus or plus 3, but with no reroll! Gives a bit more control, but his special die can play against you if you use Gwurt too often during a single turn. He's pretty cool
You could have one-shotted the Shadowbeast in the final fight by buffing your throwing axe with the potion that would have increased both your roll and damage by two. That would have given you a 5-damage first strike.
Congratulations on successfully completing your epic trip to the land of Euthia!🍀 It was fun 🥳 Let me just add two small corrections/observations to your game: 18:44 Your teleport ends in adjacent hex of Water Elemental and also your next move was under Water Power influence so +4 healing for your Hero. 22:46 Teleport through the gates does not cost any movement - just move Hero from one portal to another and continue moving.
Thank you for that! I ignored the healing as I was at full already I believe but great catch on the teleport. Not sure why I thought it took movement to do that! Thanks!
I think you dont heal when you PORT to the elemental and do not ENTER the hex. Perhaps Im wrong but I believe Alladjex mentioned it on BGG. But I do think you should have increase Shii when you rolled below 5 with your first strike attack. 😉
If you enter or teleport to a hex influenced by Elemental, you are affected. Here is an excerpt from the rulebook(page 14): If you Teleport to a hex influenced by Fire or Water Power, you are affected by that Power as if you moved to that hex. First Strike is a part of combat, so yes, you should use Die of Hope every time you can! ;-)
Great playthrough! Sad I skipped the Kickstarter for this one (didn’t think I’d like it and was new to the board game scene). Would love more if you have the time and desire for this one!!
20:26 should have been -2 for furious charge, so one less damage received. Didn't matter in the end, but still. Great playthrough! Enjoyed watching it.
I was hoping you would buy the green helm for the complete set of armour. Does it give any bonus to have a full set? (I'm told I'm a pauldron short of a complete set of armour! lol) Many thanks, so glad you decided to carry on with the playthrough Colin, was great fun. Do I wanna see another playthrough? What a silly question. Of course we do! lol
@@OneStopCoopShop Well I say that a complete matching set of armour is more impressive than mix and match stuff. Therefore give yourself 1 prestige point Oh look you made it to the 25 spot on the prestige track! YAY! Is it too late for a little house rule?? lol
Thanks for making sense of this game, haha. When I first looked at this for its upcoming Kickstarter, I immediately wrote it off as looking way too complicated and time-consuming. I looked to RUclips for reviews/impressions and saw your playthrough. That was great and looks like a lot of fun! Now that I've seen it in action, it doesn't seem that intimidating at all. Are you planning on backing the soon-to-be-revived Kickstarter next week? I'll probably at least get the base box.
Thanks so much for watching! It did have a fair bit going on but once you start playing it all comes together. I am certainly getting the expansion, was actually going to before they canceled. Hoping I can get something out during the campaign! Thanks for watching!!
@@OneStopCoopShop that'd be great to see another playthrough with a different character/scenario. Would be even cooler if you got a preview copy or something to show off the new stuff! Wishful thinking 😄
13:50 you forgot to heal the monster with his regenerate. Also I don't believe you need to spend a mining action token to pick up the treasure. That is a free action. So you wouldn't get to look at 3 and chose 1 with your min cart gem. You just get the top one (Unless you have another ability that lets you draw extra, like the dwarf skill.)
So the first one I gave him the healing by one seconds before that time stamp. As for the other piece you are also right I have a klingon subtitle to mention it so make sure to turn those on when you watch! Thanks!!
Was it necessary to reroll this "3" die on the final round of combat? You had a "9" total, and a +2 from a potion. Wouldn't that upped the score to 11, meaning you dealt all that damage you finally dealt anyways? Or that +2 woudn't have been counted for the purpose of the scroll reaching +3 damage somehow?
@@OneStopCoopShop Thanks for the prley! Well, I'm not actually sure how to use the gold cards. You're helping me sort through the rules. As far as I can tell, the 1 player sign is only on the cards that add 2 to the monster roll. The others don't have the 1 player sign, so I had thought we didn't use them. Is that wrong? Do we use all of the gold cards, even those without the single-player sign?
Yup you just replace the same named gold cards that do not have the 1 player symbol with the ones that do! Otherwise the gold cards would all be the same and that's boring
Gonna write it here too, like I wrote in the first part; Would love for you to do another run of Euthia! Coverage for this game is sorely lacking on RUclips these days.
The latest kickstarter are being delivered as we speak, so I'd guess we'll start to see some more coverage once everyone has got their pledges.
Colin moves to the Meet Me at the Table RUclips channel, so maybe he will cover the new content over there?
