  • Winnipeg was in the midst of a labour fight in the spring of 1919 that brought the city to a standstill. More than 30,000 people walked off the job, and they were often joined by family and supporters. In total, about half the city supported the strikers. Explore the Exchange District, one of Winnipeg's divided neighbourhoods where many buildings from that time still stand, with the former host of The National, Peter Mansbridge, as your guide.

    1:11 why did the CBC spell it ‘labor’ and not ‘labour’? Aren’t they our state broadcaster, but they’re using American English?

    Super cool, I wasnt sure how this how this could be possible. Saw a tile for ABC on one of these. On the topic, credentials towards the 'hello ladies' bringing the city to a halt for not being listened to. Teach the affluent how to respect citizens
