Thank you for making this video. It allowed me to get things setup and working great. I was wondering if you (or others here) could lend advice on if there is a way to combine multiple saUCE collections to one USB stick. For instance, I'd like to combine the Arcade and GBA saUCE collections so when running CoinopsX it will see them all, depending on what playlist I select. Can that be done? My USB stick is 256GB and has plenty of room for many collections. Thanks for any advice!

Did you figure this out yet? I am trying to figure out the same thing. Based on the release notes I think we need to have playlists for each of the consoles. Let me know if you know more. Here is what I found in regards to the lists - www.atgames.net/arcades/release-notes-week-47/
I have the new legends ultimate 1.1. The settings menu doesn't have Flash Drive X. Is it named something else on this new cabinet or is there a work around?
This is amazing. We are unboxing the Legends Ultimate on Christmas morning and I wanted to get this set up before then so it is ready to go. Any advice for Mac users? Is there a similar program/app like Flash Drive X that you are aware of?
Sorry I have no experience with Macs. The only thing I've heard of is some program that simulates a Windows PC that can be ran on a Mac, but I do not know what it's called.
Does this method still work or is there an updated video?? Im fairly new to this and I Just purchased the legends ultimate arcade and want to install coinopsx. If there is a new method please let me know or link me to a video if possible. Thanks in advance!

Manually edited the saUCEy pack twice before getting it to fit with this walkthrough. Thanks for all the other info though. Easy to follow.
Hopefully i can get an answer even though this video is a couple years old. If i purchase the arcade now and buy a pre-made CoinopsX flash drive on Amazon, does it work with the Legends Ultimate Arcade?
My only question (ordered the cabinet and a coinopsx drive) is once I get this running, should I avoid updating the firmware? Does the cabinet force you to update?

Hey Patton, if you have any say with the secret sauce team, is there any way they can add the 4 player versions of arcade games like the turtles game, X-men game, or the simpsons, etc. perhaps this can be on the version 5 if they are even working on it. Thanks in advanced, great video as always.
I modded my arcade1up Marvel cab with a raspberry pi4 and have all the best arcade games on it now. I love having a few beers and playing it on weekends.
Dude google “THE BOSS” UNIVERSAL CONTROL PANEL 3P MAX if you want the same form factor to play with another adult without being shoulder to shoulder. Theres also another panel he makes to make it similar to the NBA jam cab for 2 or 4 player with more space (on the 2 player) if you dont mind changing the form factor. The Boss keeps you both angled to the screen and keeps the form factor which I think is dope. Acrade 1up should be doing this design if they are going to keep them so small. The legends cab is prefect size for 2 adults.
Hey Patton does your coinopsx not save your favorites when you come back? And does your X-men game work with the v4 edition? Thank you for your videos.
I got me and my Dad one. Modding will be half the fun Im doing a custom Cowboys of Moo Mesa cabinet out of the At Games Ultimate Mini. I know its over kill but Im probably going to put my modern gamming pc under the hood so then i can consolidate space.
I just set this configuration up (thanks Patton!) and just a note - if you get a “No CoinOPSX file found” message after trying to launch it, a simple reboot of the system should fix it.

You don't need to. I already tried it with 4 GB first partition. I am working on a 1GB right now. Obviously I haven't tested the 1gb yet, but I don't see it not working since the 1st partition is only used to install coinopsx which is a very small file. The 1 gb partition works as well.
I did it with a 2gb first partition and it’s worked correctly so far. Not sure if there’s a drawbacks in the long run though. I’d like to know as well his reasoning for 16gb.
I followed your instructions, and MK 2 and 3 and 3 Ultimate have no sound whatsoever? Any fixes? These are my sons favorite games so it's a big deal for me.

Then you will see the advanced settings of the actual arcade machine. Go under sound adjustment and raise up the volume to your desired level. I put mine up almost all the way. When you are done just hit the exit and it will tell you to turn off the test menu. Make sure to do so and then push the menu button and the game will reset with your settings changed and you will have volume. This is needed in most of the midway games.
That’s what happened to me but never comes up. It’s a good quality usb drive and I formatted perfectly. Just keep getting no coinipsx file found. Any other suggestions?
Same here. Restarted and still shows no coinopsx file found. -Update: I got it to work! I deleted the addonX file then ran addonX tool again from my PC drive then copied all folders to the 2nd drive on USB. I also partitioned 1st drive to NTFS. I loaded USB on core and it worked. I did have to restart core after I loaded.
I had this same problem and what worked for me was deleting the addonx folder from the flash drive, then running AddOnX tool again and letting it recreate the folder.
I have the same problem. Have tried to completely redo the Sandisk Flash drive twice and every time it states there is 'No CoinOpsX File Found'. I'm going to try again with what Charles stated but I'm not hopeful as I redid the whole drive once already. Also, I'm on the Legends Gamer with core (hockey puck) and the only way I know of to do a restart is to pull the power plug to the core (maybe that is the problem?).
Seems simple enough, also to the folks asking questions, there are like hundreds of you... he said go to the discord for support lol. Quick question, I’ve been using a mini but I just got the gamer pro control deck. I took out my CoinOpsX usb from the mini and inserted it to the pro but it won’t read it. Do I need to unmount it from the mini first?
I know this video is fairly old, but I was wondering if the bitlcd Marque would use the ones from coin ops or if it's something you'd have to add later?
Great video but where can I find how to navigate it once it's running? I know the joystick moved up and down, the C/Z will move a letter, but that's about it. Mine has many systems and it starts with an ICON saying ALL GAMES about 3/4 over on the bottom of the screen, just to the left of the wheel but if I leave in attract mode it will switch to a specific system and I have no idea how to get out or pick a specific system.
I tried finding an answer to this myself and it appears that you’d need a separate USB for each system you make for Coinops. Saw one video of someone using CoinopsX and he was swapping USB drives to play different systems.
look at the video description (click show more) he linked all the needed websites for this tutorial including where you can download addOnX tool(which is basically Atgames website)
I watched all 3 parts of the tutorial and easily got my new Arcade Gamer from Sam’s setup. I selected the specific games I wanted rather than dumping all 1500+ onto my flash drive. Question...the graphics in the video clips for many games look way better than the actual game play (SF2 versions, for example). Is this normal? I’m currently using a 32” 720p TV, but thinking a smaller screen might actually look better. Thoughts?
I have an ALU 1.1 and I am still on the firmware version that asks you to login to Atgames after every 5 uses of CoinopsX. Does this fix the need to login issue or is it really something else being shown here? Thanks.

I have my unit set to load to coinopsx automatically. So I just push the power button, go grab a beer, bs a few mins and it's ready to go. I have the 225gb build
Somehow I couldn't get it to work. Whenever I launch CoinOPSX, I would get "No CoinOPSX file found. Please check the USB drive and try again". However, if I use the 2 USB drives method with a USB splitter, it works. Any idea? I have tried using different USB drives and multiple times. Thanks
From my PC I cannot setup 2 partitions on my usb. I can setup the first 16g partition. When I go to setup the 2nd partition I click on the unallocated space left, but cannot select "new simple volume" as it is grayed out. What am I doing wrong?
What happens if I take this out of one legends device and try to use it on another? For example. Out of the legends puck into the pinball ? Will it work?
I have this all set up on a gamer pro with the latest coin ops sauce, a couple games can run laggy at times with too much on screen or have slowdown, is that just due the pros CPU? Or is there anything I can do or update to remedy it / make it run better.
Can I download the pinball DLC tables/contents (zacarria , taito, etc) to this same USB stick??? I want to have it all in the same Flash drive. Coinops and my additional At pinball tables. Can Info that? Do I need a 3rd partition??? Please let me know. Thanks in advance
Does it have to be 64gb I only have a 32 gb Sandisk and after adding the Coinopsx on one of the two partitions and I try to run it the program it says there is no Coinopsx file found in the flash drive. Then I recheck the flash drives partition on computer managment and it says its a RAW partition. I don't get it when the ALU says it only requires a small space for the Coinopsx file. I even used the same Sandisk 32gb card just for the Coinopsx alone with 1 partition only and it still does the same and this is a brand new card too. Been trying this for hrs and nothing yet.
I installed 4.5 of the arcade and I don't get a rotating menu that shows all the games. It only shows a select few. I followed all the steps faithfully. Are there different versions of 4.5 built differently?
I have the Legends Mini. For some reason there’s a lag on my main screen of coinopsx. Everything displays but the video preview is jerky. There’s also hesitation when scrolling between games on the selector. I’m wondering if it could be the USB Flash drive I’m using? It’s a brand new 128 GB Samsung drive. Also I did hit format several times in the process before mounting the drive. Not sure… Once I get into the games everything is very smooth but somehow the menu has laggy issues.
I got everything set up, thank you very much. I have one stupid question: How do you exit the CoinopsX app? The only I found is reboot the Legends Ultimate machine.

Not that anyone in the future will read this, since they didn't LISTEN to him to begin with.
At first i thought he was kinda being a dick by not responding to yall, but now i see :P
Thank you for this!
Awesome video!
Can you connect multiple at legend controllers together for multiple player? Or connect another Xbox controller? Want to play 4 players
Ok, how do you get the ability to use both joystick? I need to set that up for Berzerk and would love to set that up for defender as well!
Patton, have you tried to push the unit with certain emulators or should I say systems?
I have not.
Great tutorial
Hey bud thanks!
@@PattonPlays always great content man
The alphabetical letters disappeared on mine on the right hand side. Any suggestions on how to fix that?
Thank you for this video
Great video but where can I find how to navigate it once it's running? I know the joystick moved up and down, the C/Z will move a letter, but that's about it. Mine has many systems and it starts with an ICON saying ALL GAMES about 3/4 over on the bottom of the screen, just to the left of the wheel but if I leave in attract mode it will switch to a specific system and I have no idea how to get out or pick a specific system.
Hello, can I add several systems (console games) in one USB? Or is the same as before that you need another USB for different systems?
I tried finding an answer to this myself and it appears that you’d need a separate USB for each system you make for Coinops. Saw one video of someone using CoinopsX and he was swapping USB drives to play different systems.
Ok... So this AddOnX Tool... I'm assuming this is something I have to download separately? Because it wasn't mentioned earlier in the video.
Did you ever find this out? I'm stuck here too.
look at the video description (click show more) he linked all the needed websites for this tutorial including where you can download addOnX tool(which is basically Atgames website)
@@riopower I've gotten it up and running a day after I watched the video. But thanks, anyway.
Thanks.
Is there any.difference if use a 2.0 or 3.0 flash drive?
Thanks in advance, amazing and helpful videos 👍
Speeds will be a little faster with a 3.0 drive if you have a 3.0 port on your PC.
@@PattonPlays Followed all the instructions and i got an error saying CoinOPS X file not found, i just updated my Legends to the new firmware 5.14, is that a problem?, I mean i did everything step by step and followed the EASY way with the unofficial saUCE but still not working
@@PattonPlays i figured it out, had to reset the dock with the USB inside and it worked fine :)
@@judgeofthegeeks5869 What do you mean by "reset the dock"? Is that just powering on/off? Or something else?
Hello. New subscriber here. I just got the 1.1. I do not see any apps under the AppStoreX menu. If I follow all the steps on this video would the CoinOpsx app show there? Or I need to get the app there first? If so, how do I add the CoinsOpsx app? Thank you
Did you update the firmware on your cabinet?
@@PattonPlays yes. The AppStoreX is empty. It says add additional software to your arcade by navigating to and selecting the desired app icon. But there are no apps to select.
@@PattonPlays I had to sign out and sign in again and now the icon is showing. Thanks
Thanks!
Question? I split my 64Gb into 2 separate partitions. My UCE/Cox file exceeds by exactly 4.39GB {2nd half of Flash drive). Should I sacrifice some games or can I just move 4.39GB from the 1st half of the Flash drive over to the second half? PLEASE HELP!!!!
Did you ever get this resolved? I am in the same situation and wondering if I can just move an additional 5gb from the first partition.
@@johnny_cash7588 YES SAME PROBLEM. PLEASE HELP1
@@jameskalil2987 hey James. It works. All I did was format the first partition to 8gb then followed the rest of the guide. If you get an error about no coin op restart the machine and should work after restarting
After the stick is created and ready, how long does it take to load the games once you click the Coinops button?
I have my unit set to load to coinopsx automatically. So I just push the power button, go grab a beer, bs a few mins and it's ready to go.
I have the 225gb build
Somehow I couldn't get it to work. Whenever I launch CoinOPSX, I would get "No CoinOPSX file found. Please check the USB drive and try again". However, if I use the 2 USB drives method with a USB splitter, it works. Any idea? I have tried using different USB drives and multiple times. Thanks
I got the same thing I uninstalled and reinstalled (CoinopsX) then unplugged the puck. Plugged it back in and worked great.
I got it to work finally by installing CoinopsX first before copying the files to the second partition.
From my PC I cannot setup 2 partitions on my usb. I can setup the first 16g partition. When I go to setup the 2nd partition I click on the unallocated space left, but cannot select "new simple volume" as it is grayed out. What am I doing wrong?
can you upload a video describing how to adjust/remap controls - e.g. Battlezone
What happens if I take this out of one legends device and try to use it on another? For example. Out of the legends puck into the pinball ? Will it work?
Can these games be played full screen or does it just show background on every game
Very good instructions. Does this no longer work? I tried 4.5 secret sauce.
Is this still up to date or is there newer coinops or has any system changed?
Will this work with the Legends Gamer Mini?
Thanks a Million
I’d like to know how to add daphne games to this.
I seem to be missing the cox (coinopsx) folder from my drive with all my games. Where can I get the coinsopx program tip put on my usb drive?
Is there a way I can do this on a MacBook? My PC is not working so great.
Is this possbile to do with the arcad 1up machines. Like mortal kombat and simpsons??
Is this the same process for the gamer pro with the core/puck? Thanks!
Yes, I have the gamer pro and it worked! But I can't get the background video to play.
I got everything set up, thank you very much.
I have one stupid question: How do you exit the CoinopsX app?
The only I found is reboot the Legends Ultimate machine.
Press the rewind button
@@Moulin13 So simple :) Thank you very much!
