The professor I had at college was like her. Fake blond, always either in pink or in flowery print. She was one of those who saw many students falling her class as a badge of honour. She was cold and irritable. I had to repeat her class and had only passed it in my 6th exam taking. Many had dropped out of college because they were unable to pass her class. That was not surprising because she expected us to know a lot more than she taught. All in all, very ville person. Oh, also , I don't blame my passing of her exam on my knowledge, but the fact I wore a floral print shirt while taking the oral part of the exam that time I passed. My mom convinced me to do that. 😅
It's the same kind of evil as Nurse Ratchet. She's a kind of evil many of us have dealt with in our daily lives especially our youth. Someone who manipulates, puts on a rouse of sweet and caring but is actually narcissistic and cruel.
I’ve said it before I’ll say it again: One of history’s greatest plot twist would have been if Umbridge was revealed to be a Gryffindor when she was in school. Wormtail showed us not all Gryffindors are brave, she’d have shown us that being in Gryffindor doesn’t mean you’re not a monster.
It would be an even greater and more ironic plot twist had she been sorted into Hufflepuff. To show that not even Hufflepuff is exempt from monsters emerging from within.
I had a co-worker just like Dolores, she was evil, and to make things worst we both had the same rank in the project, me being technical manager and her administrative manager. Funny thing is she saw herself as a godly woman.
Perhaps considered more evil than voldimort due to her realistic examples in the professional teaching world. Whereas voldimort is an evil that is more distant to a lot of people.
This is a wicked monster and you can find one of her running EVERY single school.. EVEN some weird life-like CLONES of this movie-character in real life! Not even lying, And its utterly bizarre..
@@inthemindofavillain : / Clown-world, Man.. It resembles Umbridge a little too often who was trying to make her world into a clown-world, Too.. Like a giant circus-toad..

This reminds me of many narcissistic authority figures I've dealt with. One in particular was a Sergeant in the Marine Corps who was also this kind of narcissistic control freak. Made up and enforced rules that weren't real, including "don't go anywhere by yourself" but disregarded real rules like don't commit sexual harassment and don't extort people for ball ticket money. Most people have dealt with someone like this in the form of a teacher growing up. Someone who acts like she cares for the kids but just wants to control them. Doesn't care if kids are harassing or hurting each other but if they give her problems she will then do something.
I certainly know one thing about UmBITCH in many fanon *Harry Potter* crossovers: In the *Percy Jackson/Riordanverse* , she would show all manner of prejudice against demigods, whether they are wizard-born or non-magical, calling them "half-breeds" and treating them like a disease. In the Marvel Universe, she would be one of the BIGGEST and prejudiced mutant haters in the wizarding world, dehumanizing all mutants, irrespective of their magical and non-magical blood statuses and nationalities as "underbeings," "dark creatures," and "savages" much worse than the hostile fear, hate, and intolerance of the vox populi of muggles, and she would also criminalize all superheroes as "terrorists." Heck she would even denounce the Sorcerer Supreme as being a "dark wizard." In the DC Universe, she would be the same against all metahumans like mutants in the Marvel Universe, dehumanizing them as "underbeings," "dark creatures," and "savages" and would do the same against aliens.
Hi I’d love to see a video done on Colin Farrells penguin or burgess Meredith’s penguin, as I think penguin is my favourite villain of all time especially the classy version.
Umbridge hides behind power and connections. fudge was stupid to put her in Hogwarts. He was so caught up trying to get Harry expelled and Dumbledore removed from Hogwarts that he let a terrible woman abused power and hurting people. Umbridge is really a pathetic woman. She also had a bad habit of provoking others that can really hurt her. Take that authority and power away, she's really a coward. I'm glad at book 7, Harry knocked her out. J.K. stated that after Voldemort, Umbridge's crimes finally caught up to her and got sent to Azkaban for the rest of her miserable life. She was upset that she lost everything.
I had a Boss like her Elisabeth her name, she even looked like the actress, some Of the worst work experiences i ever had as a public health agent after years pleading superiors to move her out a person that was Just nominated health Supervisor and only stood on the chair for 6 months took her out she was sent tô another place and promoted, she literaly "few upwards" but she could'nt do us any harm, even thou she got a Lot Of colleagues that chalenge her fired, terríble person, trully awful
She was the Harry Potter version of jeoffrey from got. I greatly disliked her character and had hoped that the centaurs brutally killed her when they took off with her and was infuriated when she returned in the deathly hallows.
She’s such a hated villain because she’s so relatable. We’ve all encountered a Delores Umbridge or two in our lives.
How is she relatable?
@@NightmareScarecrow maybe relatable wasn't the right word. More like familiar.
@@NightmareScarecrow To be more precise, the feeling of being around someone like her is relatable.

this is wat i wanted! a nice and awesome explenation

Unfortunately she's officially in Slytherin (according to Wiki). How predictable. She could have even worked as a Hufflepuff in my opinion.
The real plot twist is that she is a self-insert.
Peter pettigrew was also a Gryffindor and Percy Weasley
I had no idea about her backstory. Thanks for delivering it so succinctly!
I had a co-worker just like Dolores, she was evil, and to make things worst we both had the same rank in the project, me being technical manager and her administrative manager. Funny thing is she saw herself as a godly woman.
Voldermort: I'm the most evil magician there is.
Umbridge: Oh Voldy, your just cute.
Dolores literally means “pains” in Spanish, like having pain in many body parts.
Dolores Umbridge looks like Miss Hattie from Despicable Me
She's awesome love her
I like how you have written out the closed captions manually😊

Umbridge was effectively a wizarding version of a Karen.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I’m not sure if those have enough content to cover.

And yet, you can almost see in her eyes just how absolutely miserable Imelda Staunton was, playing the role.
Damn you, Dumbledore. You should not have saved her.
I feel sympathy for her, even tho she was cruel. She was broken inside.
It's always the crazy cat people.

You'll find that "Voldemort" comes from the French language, hence the final letter, as a liaison, is silent.

Ironic that Delores isn't a pure blood herself she's actually a half blood in her logic ron weasley is superior to her

"Dolores" means "pains" in Spanish, not "sorrow".
It can be used as either, as being in sorrow is being in pain.
I'm a cat-lover, and even I think this character is sickening! 😬 I bet even Dr. Calico (from Bolt) hates her guts.
I'm pretty sure she collects kitten plates because any real cat she tried to own ran away within a week.
