  • Here is how to find the equations of motion for a coupled oscillator. In this case, I have two equal masses and two of the springs are equal.

    Terrific! What I like about any of this kind of thing is that you can make things different.....mass1 different from mass2, k1 different from k2, etc. Then try it and then start making things the same....spring constants, masses or whatever and see if the behavior condenses back to what's expected.
