110 Woodstock Hyacinths! I’d be in heaven. Those are my favorites. Can’t wait to see the display next spring. Love your color palette. I’m all about the orange and purple💜
Such useful information! I appreciated the editing to show the steps without showing you planting all gajillion of the tulips. It’s going to be such a show next spring!
Everyone realizes you could easily write a book with your wealth of information but it is so much more enjoyable watching and listening to you as it also shows the joy you exuberant when talking about gardening. Don’t overdo it and rest up whenever possible as we are all looking forward to your 2024 amaryllis show and your dried flower Christmas trees!
It is a good day when Danielle has a new video! Thank you so much for sharing your process. I planted about 5,000 mostly daffodil bulbs between my house and my in-law's house last winter for our wedding this spring and that was a lot. I don't know how you do it and make such beautiful videos!
I have had good luck with Darwin tulips red and orange for perennials, but never as beautiful as the first display, can’t wait until spring to see your beautiful bulbs flowering🌷🌷🌷❤!!!
I wasn't sure who to ask but does Danielle usually answer questions in the comments? I've asked two questions before and never got a response. Just wondering. Thank you
Mystic van eijk is my favorite tulip! I planted at least 100 mixed van eijk series. Fun to have some of the same things planted! I love bulbs but it sure is a lot of work.
I came in from a break of working my way through planting 600 bulbs and I thoroughly enjoyed your review of bulbs. Where I live its dry and cold at 5200 ft elevation, but I have good luck with bulbs as long as the tulips are protected from the deer herds.
12,000 bulbs!!! That will be quite the show. In Australia that would cost me between $36,000 - $60,000 AUS. I probably wouldn’t even be able to source any where near that many. I’ve also never seen such huge bulbs, the ones I get here are a fifth of the size. Being in a Mediterranean climate they don’t do well.
You have a wonderful job! It's even more wonderful that you let us share all that beauty with you. I could never have a garden like yours while living in 9b, so I especially enjoy seeing yours with every video you create.
Your video was so very informative! Question: You had the image of your father’s painting put on your hoodie, right? I love it! It came out beautifully! Please know that all the time, effort, and shared knowledge you put into your videos is appreciated! Thanks, Danielle! ❤
So many bulbs! Can't wait to see them in spring! Love your jacket. That painting your dad made is so precious. I pray that whatever was happening in your life that prompted him to paint it has passed. Any chance that prints might be made available?
Can’t wait to see your tulip beds next spring Danielle. Thanks for sharing all your great tips and knowledge. I also love your hoody. Isn’t that your dad’s painting? Looks great! Do you sell those? Bye!
Amazing video ❤I love tulips 🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷 I want to learn from you about photography with Tulips 🌷 it’s my favorite ❤️ flowers, I decided 3 years ago became my garden in a flower farm here in Tx ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You answered my question. I wasn't sure if I should water in my bulbs...but now I know! We haven't had rain in over a month and I've been planting hundreds of bulbs....will water in well tomorrow. Oh, and the heat not helping...some of my galanthus are in bloom. ugh!
Hi Danielle thanks for taking the mystery out of growing tulips! You're smart to treat them as an annual! Can I plant tulip bulbs now in a pot to get blooms in the spring in zone 6a CT. I'm looking forward to your amazing spring show of blooms! 😍🌷
Hi Danielle. Love our channel !! I've learned so much since I started watching you last spring. I am brand new to planting bulbs and I live in Ontario, Canada - zone 5b. I didn't really understand the part about dead heading the flower and letting the flower and leaves die back naturally to help the tulips perennialize. How can you do that if you're planning on cutting and selling them ? Or can you cut the flower and only leave the leaves to die back naturally ? Thanks for any more info that you can offer. Daffadils are my favorite so I can't wait to see your next video too !!!
Hi friend! If I’m trying to perennialize tulips I would not cut and sell those flowers. I would enjoy the show in the garden and then deadhead the spent blooms. My apologies if I did not explain that well.
You are so knowledgeable about tulips and flowers. Unfortunately I can’t grow tulips due to the squirrels and deer in my area. They are candy for these pests!!!
Hi Danielle, love your videos. When you plant your bulbs in beds for cutting, do you put a border around them? Just wondering if this would allow space to pull them out easier?
Question! I can’t find any information about transplanting gladioli’s. I live in zone 5b now zone 6 which have over wintered for me for the last two winters. Do you think I should transplant in spring or fall. Love your videos. Thanks so much!
I always learn so much from you! Is it time to bring the amaryllis out of dormancy? Mine are still in pots in the basement. Should I repot them in fresh potting soil?
Hi friend! Have they received two months in dormancy? If so, then you are good to bring them back upstairs! You can repot them into new soil or replenish the top with new soil. Give them a good drink when you bring them back into a warm environment ❤️
When you plant all those tulips, are you particular about how the bulb is dropped into the hole? Are you concerned about whether it actually is pointy side up or sideways?
Hi friend! Most bulbs will correct themselves. The only one I would be concerned about is the crown fritillaria. Those bulbs are prone to rot and do best when planted on their side.
@ Thank you so much for the prompt reply. I have drawn so much inspiration from your garden and have learned so much from you. Thank you for your teachings!

Thankful that God created nature and beautiful flowers for our enjoyment.

You are a wealth of knowledge- thank you!
Where can we go to see your writing and pics of the plants/bulbs? Would love to read your work!
Hi friend! You can find articles, photos, and a blog I write on the Longfield Gardens website. I hope you have a great day!
thank you Danielle❤That was very informative. I live in 10a so I usually don’t try tulips 🌷 But I didn’t know you could get them pre chilled 😊

@@NorthlawnFlowerFarmandGardens Oh - gotcha - thx so much Danielle for clarifying : )
Just what I needed. Treating them as an annual would work for me. I'm not too fond of their unsightly foliage when they're done blooming.
You are so knowledgeable about tulips and flowers. Unfortunately I can’t grow tulips due to the squirrels and deer in my area. They are candy for these pests!!!
Hi Danielle, love your videos. When you plant your bulbs in beds for cutting, do you put a border around them? Just wondering if this would allow space to pull them out easier?
by your knowledge would you please let me know when is the best time i can plant Tulips and daffodil bulbs in Florida zone 9. thank you dear
Great info.

Hello I noticed that you did not use any bulb tone or fertilizer, why? and will you do that later?
I always learn so much from you! Is it time to bring the amaryllis out of dormancy? Mine are still in pots in the basement. Should I repot them in fresh potting soil?
Hi friend! Have they received two months in dormancy? If so, then you are good to bring them back upstairs! You can repot them into new soil or replenish the top with new soil. Give them a good drink when you bring them back into a warm environment ❤️
For me, for the same reasons as you, early tulips don’t open well. I only do mid and late. Can woodland hyacinths be used for cutting?
Off topic. I just realized I didn't plant all my Dahlia. The tubers are good and have three inch long green shoots. What are my options? Please help
With such close spacing of bulbs, don’t they get overcrowded as they multiply?
When you plant all those tulips, are you particular about how the bulb is dropped into the hole? Are you concerned about whether it actually is pointy side up or sideways?

Hi Danielle 😊 I didn't hear you mention if you add BulbTone or something similar at the time of planting. I was just wondering. Thanks
Hi Deborah! I personally don’t use any fertilizers. I hope you have a wonderful day!
