I have to testify something to you about the song anchor! Approximatly 4 moths ago before hear this amazing song, God talked to me on a dream. In the dream, He show me a big wave that was coming to a house when my boyfriend and i were visiting a friend. When the wave was coming, a big anchor appeard between us, we hold on the anchor, and when the big wave hit us, we stay safe. The wave try to drown us twice more, but we stay safe holding the anchor. I know God is taking care of us, he always do, and i know that God use you when you wrote this song, to remind me, and confirmating me He is taking care of me all the time! Thanks for let be use by God and bless many People in this time, for a generation with many need of God, Time when we need to see Jesús and stay hold on of him. God bless you!

Guys, the lyrics of this song remind me of my main character, Cloud, from the Christian/fantasy series I'm writing...
It helped me develop one of his nightmare sequences, and that added more description and surety to a character whose walk with God is more important to him than his past...
Cloud's thing is that he lost his mom when he was only 3 days old. The villain of the first set of books (Fatal Redemption - parts 1-4) was the murderer.
He kidnapped her and tortured her...then she was killed. But Cloud wants to forgive him, unlike everyone else around him who just want him dead.
He chalks his desire to forgive up to him never really having known her.
Little does he know, part of him really does miss her, and has since he was just a little boy. But he denies it, and goes on with his life.
This leads to his struggle with depression, and his fight to hide it from everyone - even his father - when war is just over the horizon. In the nightmare, he's drowning - a mental metaphor of his depression closing in on him.
He feels like he's alone, and as he fights the waves, he screams out for everyone he knows.
His dad, his friends, the people he sees as his family, despite none of them being related...but nobody hears him. Nobody comes to help him.
Then, out of desperation, he just hollers, "GOD!" In that instant, he wakes up, and he's in his room by himself, with no water or anything...
If any of you is interested in more of the story, I'm thinking of trying to do videos talking about the stories of some of my main characters on here, or I have a book page on Facebook with more detail, and some story clips from the book or that were originally cut due to constraints.
It also has art of many characters, and paintings of scenes from the book. It's all my own stuff, and I'm trying to get some people together for opinions. But if you're interested, there's that, or my name on Facebook is Cassaundra Marie Rivas, and I have been to South Plains College and am at Lubbock Christian University right now. 😄

I love how John leaves it as an open thing like it doesn’t have to be about god if a person doesn’t believe in him then they can still listen to the song and enjoy it just as much as a religious person can.

this song was going to be the song my wife and danced to for our wedding until I broke my ankle, so I could dance no more, which was kind of sad because this along side BANNERS "someone to you" are my two favourite songs

I get that not everyone is Christian but please doing teach that a “spouse” or “significant other” can be your anchor in comparison with God. All those things are human and make mistakes while God doesn’t.
