Fun fact : Kylie appeared on radio here in oz... a vote was put out as to which should be the follow up to CGYOOMH They played album title track, Fever and In Your Eyes People called in and voted for this
This was a single but only in the UK, OZ and Europe. America was a little late for this release, we were just getting into Can't Get You Out Of My Head so they skipped it here. Yes this is from the Fever album. Kylie could do no wrong after this album had been released. first she released Light Years and was successful again thanks to Spinning Around, The Olympics performs in 2000 and On A Night Like This. A huge come back after Impossible Princess which didn't do well. In America we would get Love At First Sight and Come Into My World. She did perform In Your Eyes on Saturday Night Live tho which is the performance that forced me to check her do some digging on her because until that performance I never heard of her. You gotta listen to Fever in full. It's a bop and a classic for a reason. It's what made America take notice of her 15 years after her first album for a reason. It's not dated at all so I encourage you to listen to it in full but make sure you also listen to the b-sides because all of them are bops too. I was 16 when it was released, 21 years later age 37 and I'm still obsessed with her.
@@popland1977 No it isn't. It isn't even apart of it. Europe is a continent full of countries. The UK is it's own country. They even have their own money which is what brexit was about.
@TheeePinkPanther I really don't know, it was the track that made me pay attention to her not CGYOOMH. I had a friend at the time back then that told me it was too Euro sounding.
Hi, A great Reaction to 'IYE', your right it's so F-U-N-K-Y!! I still remember the 'top of the pops performance'!, and the advertisement in magazines which is on my living room wall right now!, many regards Ian & Zey :)
I think it would be more accurate to say this was Kylie in her prime. She was already in the music scene for a while before this stage. This is peak Kylie in my opinion though
The Fever album reignited her career..it's her best selling album in the US..and the main one she's known for..she was in her early 30s when this album came out
You definetely have to listen the whole album. Fever is such a masterpiece. My favs from the album besides the singles are Fragile, Love Affair and Burning Up.
***2002 ERA KYLIE TRIVIA TIME!!*** ..ooooh-ooh-ooo-OOO-oooooh, OOOOH.... (1:07) .... ....WELL, as everybody ALREADY mentioned, this WAS a single in the UK (peaking at #8), and it was the follow-up (there) to the EARTH SHATTERING "Cant Get You Out Of My Head"....and, since Kylie was Dance Club Queen EXTRAORDINAIRE, she was remixed to DEATH, on this single!! - Roger S., Jean Jacques, Saheed & Palesh, Chus & Cheballos, Mr. Bishi, Powder, & The Knuckleheadz remixed this tune into MANY different genres; French House, Dub, Electroclash, Progressive House, Handbag, etc., but....NO ONE cared, because they were STILL playing "Can't Get You...."!! ...THEN, The USA got "Love At First Sight" , with the Scumfrog, Twin Master, Ruff & Jam, & David Guetta mixes....THEN, The Cathy Dennis mashup mix of ,"Can't Get (Blue Monday) Out Of My Head" was released!....as you can see, Kylie RULED the Dance Clubs at that time....STILL, too ..... ; )
I was 12 when that video came out and I liked it so much (I still like it actually 😊) because at the same time there was this one girl in school I had a crush on who reminded me a bit of young Kylie 😀.
This was the second single worldwide of her best-selling album ''Fever''. But not US, since the first single and the ''Fever'' album was released later in 2002 (while released in 2001 everywhere) so, the US skipped the released and come already with ''Love At First Sight'' after ''Can't Get You Out Of My Head''. This album was labeled to be her best moment of her career with the public with this albun.
**2002 ERA KYLIE TRIVIA TIME (pt.2)!!** ..ooooh-ooh-ooo-OOO-oooooh, OOOOH....deux... (3:02) .... ...Empress noticed something, that I had, to add.... (2:03) ...you're RIGHT, dear...Kylie got back to doing POP MUSIC, around the "Light Years" period (2000), but 2001's "Fever" was a Cultural shift....Electro Music, Y2K-era mindsets, French House, Haute Couture, Filter-Disco, EDM, Teen Pop, etc. were all happening then, so it was injected into the WHOLE "Fever" project..... - ...that Album was REALLY worked on, to give a new, 'fresh' sound, by influence of the past, for something 'Now'....Kylie was VERY keen into giving something NEW, and that's why the Album is so revered; EVERY SONG could have been a single, every track was in the RIGHT place, and every Video was fresh, fun, and all KYLIE.... ....I would say it's her BEST Album, but it's her most SUCCESSFUL in giving the Fans what they WANTED....
I just knew you'd recognize it as a fire bop for real because duh!!! I have a lot of Kylie songs I enjoy but this is probably my absolute fave, if not top 2. Perfection all around and that includes the video. They released it as a single around my way (land of maple leaves) so I didn't miss out at all!
Totally agree kylie was trail blazing this era. And after years in Madonna’s shadow and not being taken quite seriously or being compared to people she got ahead of the game this era for first time in her career (successfully anyway) And everyone started copying her. I feel Madonna’s confessions album was actually an attempt to Show she could do it better, but Kylie did This one first. 🎉
Was this my pick? I think so but can’t recall but if it was then I probably would have meant to say something about this not being released as the 2nd single from Fever in the US. I’ll never understand why they didn’t 😮😮😮
I am so glad you are discovering this princess mega babe Kylie!!
Fever album, the best Kylie album period
Aphrodite for me..
Impossible princess for me ❤
Love this song, huge hit during 00s, was listen every saturday in clubs😊😊😊
This was a single. The follow-up to "Can't Get You Out of My Head". Just not in the US. But in the rest of the world.

Same! I’m three years older than you also an American Fever era fan
Yes, I was going to say this was TOTALLY a single. I remember it, plus you don’t get a music video if it’s not a single. I live in Australia.
Isn't the UK in Europe ha?
@@popland1977 No it isn't. It isn't even apart of it. Europe is a continent full of countries. The UK is it's own country. They even have their own money which is what brexit was about.

so cool
One of her BEST breakout album, FEVER!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Best albums Fever, Aphrodite, and Disco! The Aussie Madonna Baby Sister!
Aussie baby sister of Madonna 😂
🤘😎🤘
I was a teenager when she burst the bubble with Fever. It was a VERY youth-oriented song, I love her
Yessss, I like it even more than "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" - but NOT more than Baby Empress's giggling at the end ❤️
YAAAAS IKR!
I was 12 when that video came out and I liked it so much (I still like it actually 😊) because at the same time there was this one girl in school I had a crush on who reminded me a bit of young Kylie 😀.
Confessions by Madonna came after fever Kylie set a new standard
Confessions and Fever have VERY LITTLE in common though....
Love you Empress ❤ oops I did it again. But hey did you do Kylie again? That clip is my fave 😂
This was the second single worldwide of her best-selling album ''Fever''. It's so good!
I agree this shouldve been the second single in the US before love at first sight
🔥🔥🔥

25 years ago I didn't like Her music, now I think She's kinda cool.
