Dimash's voice came into my life suddenly and caused a revolution. I have a chronic illness and I felt very hopeless in my life. I was dead inside. Dimash's voice changed everything in seconds. I first heard his voice 3 months before the pandemic and Dimash was my company in these dark times. And he gave me the courage to do the unimaginable: I, who had never traveled abroad (I didn't even have a passport, something I arranged the week after I heard Dimash's voice for the first time) traveled in April 2022 to Dusseldorf to watch to a concert of his and in September 2022 I took all my savings and traveled from Brazil to Kazakhstan to attend the debut of Dimash's tour and get to know his country. Crazy, right? Hug from Brazil.

Thanks for the response and the conversation. Dimash is a living person. He, like everyone else, gets tired, gets sick, gets irritated and cries. He is not Spider-Man, not Superman. Since he was 5 years old, he has been working without days off or holidays. Who is he not good enough for? This song is a confession, Dimash’s inner world was revealed to you. How he sees you all. And fans, and jury members, and celebrities. He looks at us all.

I had one moment at the beginning of the pandemic when I was sick with Covid and on oxygen in the hospital. People around me were dying and it was a really difficult experience on a physical and mental level. Fortunately, I discovered Dimash some time ago and took refuge in the bubble of his music. It helped on both levels.

Dimash is so much more than a singer, song writer, performer, artist, productionist……..he is a message from God, a loving, humble, accurate message of so many types of inspiration and hope.

People who can accept him and his offerings are chosen to enter into this new world of peace, love and bounty.

Dimash has worked daily for years to get to where he is today, and in the process he has been navigating many diverse expectations, not the least; his own. As his fame grows some of these expectations are wildly unrealistic and surely unexpectedly burdensome. Many personal sacrifices - as you highlight also! - are part of this journey. In the midst of great acclaim and adulation there can still be loneliness and self doubt.
We all know the price that celebrity can carry and the importance of maintaining your balance between your public and private persona. But Dimash's 'celebrity' is different. He carries the joy, but also the weight, not only of the expectations of his fans, but he is also carrying the honour and the responsibility of being the most internationally prominent artist ever in Kazakhstan's history. And at a time of great political instability and sensitivity. He is also straddling and constantly navigating the old word cultures and values (of his people/ his grandparents) and those of the rapidly changing modern world. It is a fine balancing act, a complex dance.
Approaching the age of 30 is often a time for review and realignment for many. I get the sense that Dimash is likely contemplating new directions in life, in creativity, and in new career choices. We wish him all Love, Wellbeing and Success. 😊❤
Dimash's music and his examplary humanity have definitely helped me when i had horrible dark days having a hard time regulating my emotions due to severe PTSD. He calmed me down, filled my heart with pure love and hope. Thank you for acknowledging and appreciating that Mr. Harris. Wow, I’m in tears listening to your words about this song and Dimash. Six years ago, when I just came upon Dimash, I had a failed back surgery. From a painful back to the same painful back along with severe nerve damage to my legs and feet, Dimash became my escape from a completely changed life. Life changed and there were some very dark days. Dimash has been here ever since. I hope, someway, your words reach Dimash. I believe they would mean more to Dimash than any trophy or plaque could ever mean. He’s that kind of young man. Thank you for your comments. I always enjoy your reactions. Bev😊

The song Omir was composed and lyrics by DiMASH. Unfortunately, a few days after he released that song, life hit him with the death of his grandfather.
