I agree that the fishing segments are a nice touch. And, I always appreciate the simple yet productive patterns you demonstrate. Thanks again for a great channel!
I like this fly. It'll fish pretty much anywhere I would think. I fished those same waters as a boy with my father. Thanks for bringing back good memories. I definitely like the fishing segments. Keep them coming!
Awesome. I fish meadow run myself. I live like 20 minutes from there. I saw a mink there last year while fishing. Hope you liked the cascades. Nicely done.
Awesome Matt! Love the fly. Great to see you on the water too. I've got my first fly fishing class/guided trip this weekend - might throw a few of these together before the trip! (With and without the pink head, lol)
I like simple flies, I believe they just fish better. I tie something with a similar profile I call the Bloody Lazy Bugger. It's three materials, a marabou tail, matching colour dubbed body and a red wire wrap. Once the wire is in place I brush the dubbing back. I tie these as small as size 16 and they are fabulous on my mountain stocked lakes. And I can get one finished in just a couple of minutes, which I also like. 😁
Hi Matt. Was hoping to get out fishing this weekend but I picked up a bug and it’s been beating me up a tad. Weather has been cold ( 34-35F) overnight and rainy so it doesn’t hurt my feelings too bad. I have tied one similar but instead of the flashback I have tied it with an orange or green hackle. Fished it once and no luck with it. Might have to give your version a try and see how it does. Take care Matt
Nice fly Matt. Thanks for sharing. Really enjoy the footage of your fishing adventures. Great addition to the videos. You are fishing some truly beautiful waters. This Flashback did its job. Nice solid fish landed. Great video. God bless. One quick question please. What type of strike indicator or bobber are you using? Or what type do you recommend? Thank you.
Nice nymph Matt, perfect for that colored fast"worm" water 🤫 So which nymph did those very awesome browns take? A black marabou fly tied on a jig hook took a nice brown for me under those conditions. And no, I didn't put a worm on it! 😂 Thanks buddy, you're awesome! ❤🫵👍
I like your videos. Simple but good looking flies with materials I have. Bobber? I thought that was sacrilegious-don't the stiff necks call it a strike indicator.😎
Interesting pattern. My brother is travelling to Minnesota as an exchange student from South Africa. who you mind recommending flies he should take with or fishing spots he should visit while there. Any advice would greatly be appreciated
Some nice brownies, Matt
Cool looking flash back nymph
Love simple, easy flies that work
Thanks for the video
Nice. I might try this in the Erie tribs this winter for steelies
Nice looking fly. Now I have to go back to work 😂 lunch break is never long enough. Thanks for the video Matt !
Another nice one, Matt. I think that‘ll fish anywhere. Have a blessed day my friend.

Neat fly! That is a gorgeous area out there in Ohiopyle.

Hahaha! Sometimes I call it a bobber just to piss off the elitists. I've even been known to call my fly rod a fishing pole. :-)
Great video! Did you fish this with a floating line or do you need a sinking line to get it down?

what kind of marabou are you using ?
