Wow I Was Very Surprising To See That Great Western Railway As Diverted Services Today Going To And Starting Here At London Euston While Other Services Started At Reading Today It's Engineering Work Day At The New Upcoming New Station Old Oak Common As 14 Platforms
@@stevegarnham4632 I looked on realtimetrains and it said the trains only stopped at Reading for staffing reasons. There were 2 early in the morning that stopped at Reading though
Would like to see a cab view of exact route at Willesden. Only place two lines linked I think. Interestingly, Brunel originally considered an arrangement with the L&B for GWR (proper!) to use Euston)
Great video. If I had just listened to the soundtrack without watching, I would have thought Pacers! The flange squeal was very loud. Is it just the Hitachi units or do the Pendolinos have the same problem? Pity the overhead wiring systems aren't connected between Euston and the GW mainline. I do wonder about the planned HS2 station at Euston- does it really need so many platforms if an allegedly congested Euston is already handling extra GW trains in addition to its own services? Just a thought.
@@MervynPartin the sound when filming the second clip was absolutely horrible, I had to fight the urge to stop filming and cover my ears. The sound does happen with other trains at Euston because when there are lots of tracks, it happens sometimes but not that badly. Also about the HS2 thing, I think Euston is already overcrowded and when HS2 opens, it will get even worse. I would definitely put it somewhere else but to be honest I don’t know where

Great video, good trains footage, good locations 👍
Glad you enjoyed😃

Yep very rare to see GWR at Euston
I tried to use this service but at the last minute they stopped calling at reading why 😡.

This is the London equivalent of when Amtrak trains terminate at Grand Central instead of Penn Station
Isn’t Grand Central the main station so why don’t the Amtrak trains terminate there. Or is it like London where there are multiple termini?
@@thetrainhub390Penn Station is the main station for intercity trains (Amtrak). Grand Central is massive but only handles regional rail.
@@banksrail alright thanks

It would be cool if GWR did a few trains a day from Euston instead of Paddington but it would be pretty impractical
First Trains takes over London Euston with both Avanti West Coast and GWR both being run by First Trains
They also run Lumo too
@@Kandlelite and Hull Trains- but neither of those are likely to run into Euston any time soon
GWR only went to Euston because of the works at Old Oak Common
@kandelelite Lumo goes to Kings Cross
@MercenaryPen Yeah
this could be the second destination for gwr
@@idontknow12383 it would be pretty cool if they ran a few trains a day from Euston, we need a new TOC on the WCML
Wow

Looking at google maps, I'm guessing they were linking up via Willesden Junction?
ig
Yest. Vi Southwest sidings into the NLL briefly off Acton Wells. Down the Gradient to Acton ML
Yep they were
The trains appear to be being both in diesel and electric mode.

This station will has an half an hour service between london Euston and south Wales and Cornwall
Only while the trains are being diverted
Was there any gwr announcements at Euston
@@JoanneWelsby yep there was
