After what happens with New World, i have a bad feeling that developers will go MMOs and Online and COOPs more and more. They dont care about fans, they just do what gives them the most money.
Well atleast Ghost recon breakpoint is still good, maybe not at launch but right now with the latest updates it's a solid game. Honestly man I don't know who's behind the idea of turning ghost recon into a battle royale game because that's the worst idea you can come up with specially when there's much stronger competitors out there. Same with Xdefiaint, not sure why it's called Tom clancys but it too looks like a very casual shooter game that is trying to look unique.
How out of touch you have to be to think this was a good idea, but I guess they still want to tap into that BR money. Gonna flop like that hyperscape game

I've never been more disgusted by a game trailer. Ghost Recon 2 was one of the best tactical shooters ever. 16 player co op missions, good multi-player and a great campaign. How the hell did we get so far away from the OG Ghost Recon ways? This will be forgotten in a month.

You should give Ground Branch are looking at if you have a PC. It's being lead developed by one of the original developers behind the original Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon. It's a small team, but it's really fun.

After seeing this, my question I gotta ask is “what does this game provide that another FPS BR game like CoD Warzone cannot?” We have the 3 powerhouses of BR games right now: Apex Legends, Fortnite, and Warzone. At this point, it is far too late to try to release a new one and try to compete. They’ve seen the tragic fate of so many other battle royales that just couldn’t stay up there (hell, they even tried with HYPERSCAPE), so why would you try when this effort could go into something much more ambitious; something that can build a crowd of it’s own? At this point i’m convinced Ubisoft does indeed hear what we’ve been saying for the last 4 or so years and just straight up doesn’t care. They think they know what their customer base wants more than the actual customer base they’re trying to please. I’ve honestly never in my decades of gaming seen anything like this. I’m not sure if the company is hell bent on running all of their popular big name IP’s into the ground, or what the case may be. It’s genuinely mind boggling. Also, i’m not sure if Ubisoft has ever revealed a game to such overwhelming negative response as this. While some were disappointed with the reveal of Breakpoint, the breakdown seemed to be 50/50 like and dislike. I’ve yet to see a single person in the hundreds of replies i’ve read say anything even remotely positive about this.
But we already have Warzone, Fortnite, Apex and PUBG. And yet we're demanding a single player game where you lead a tactical squad on missions with a good story 😕.
A true open world experience, in first person. Actually challenging gameplay where the AI will converge on you once your position is known. Singleplayer story, obviously. But I'd also take cooperative gameplay, with yourself and a team of 3 other players. Or, perhaps, multiple teams working together to take on a mission. 3 teams of 4 people, all running different kit (or the same kit, won't judge), in an open world where their decisions matter. Where being tactical is a good idea, and running and gunning is not the best idea. Hell, I'd even take bullet sponge enemies if they gave us *that* kind of game. But no, we get this. Ubisoft, if anyone from your company is listening, please. For the love of God. Go back to what made this franchise, and the Rainbow franchise, so damn special.

After seeing this, my question I gotta ask is “what does this game provide that another FPS BR game like CoD Warzone cannot?” We have the 3 powerhouses of BR games right now: Apex Legends, Fortnite, and Warzone. At this point, it is far too late to try to release a new one and try to compete. They’ve seen the tragic fate of so many other battle royales that just couldn’t stay up there (hell, they even tried with HYPERSCAPE), so why would you try when this effort could go into something much more ambitious; something that can build a crowd of it’s own? I know they’re doing it for money, but you’re not gonna get much I’d the game just doesn’t hold up. Come on, Ubisoft… please do better.

Aside from Fenyx, I haven't played or been interested in anything Ubisoft has released in almost a decade now. I heard about this, and instantly knew the comment section was going to be gold.
Remember when ubisoft had original ideas, you know between 2007-2013. (assassin's creed, far cry etc.. ) I miss those days. This is just Hunt Showdown on steroids.
There's the difference between Rockstar and any other Game company. It's been months that I don't play ubisoft games and I'm relieved.

To be honest at this point I just want them to go bankrupt or at least get everyone fired, starting with the CEOs.
At this point i’m convinced Ubisoft does indeed hear what we’ve been saying for the last 4 or so years and just straight up doesn’t care. They think they know what their customer base wants more than the actual customer base they’re trying to please. I’ve honestly never in my decades of gaming seen anything like this. I’m not sure if the company is hell bent on running all of their popular big name IP’s into the ground, or what the case may be. It’s genuinely mind boggling.
Also, i’m not sure if Ubisoft has ever revealed a game to such overwhelming negative response as this. While some were disappointed with the reveal of Breakpoint, the breakdown seemed to be 50/50 like and dislike. I’ve yet to see a single person in the hundreds of replies i’ve read say anything even remotely positive about this.
But we already have Warzone, Fortnite, Apex and PUBG. And yet we're demanding a single player game where you lead a tactical squad on missions with a good story 😕.
Ghost recon isn't known for "good stories" it's not necessary especially for a tactical military shooter you just need good missions and "set pieces"
The gameplay has to be lit if this game wants to survive.

A true open world experience, in first person. Actually challenging gameplay where the AI will converge on you once your position is known. Singleplayer story, obviously. But I'd also take cooperative gameplay, with yourself and a team of 3 other players. Or, perhaps, multiple teams working together to take on a mission. 3 teams of 4 people, all running different kit (or the same kit, won't judge), in an open world where their decisions matter. Where being tactical is a good idea, and running and gunning is not the best idea. Hell, I'd even take bullet sponge enemies if they gave us *that* kind of game.
But no, we get this. Ubisoft, if anyone from your company is listening, please. For the love of God. Go back to what made this franchise, and the Rainbow franchise, so damn special.
