Nice! Door panels should be done and a few wrinkles but still a good buy. 80 series are are beautiful, comfortable, capable and worth every dollar you invest.
The leather inserts for the door panel do not come apart easily. You would have to break the pasticweld tabs on the door panel. I am happy with the new leather and can live with the older leather door panels. The quality of the kit and the leather is outstanding.
i just finished doing it myself. took me 3 days and i must say its a lot of work. i don't have a steamer to shrink and get the wrinkles out so i'm using hot wet rags from the microwave. 1300? in 2019 the price is 580.
The leather is actually a great value for the quality. I replaced the bottom and back seat foam with new Toyota foam. That was a lot of money. But it feels great to drive now.
Nice 80 series I'm on fense on my 80 series lift and tires. What lift did you go with, height? and what size tires are you running. Your 80 looks perfect
Yes I do have a lift. I did the OME 2.5 heavy springs front and rear. To level it out I put Man-A-Free 30mm spacers on the front. The tires are Cooper ST MAXX 285/75/16's. Thanks for the comment. Check out the other videos to see her in action.
Awesome video 👍thx for sharing the info . I have a 1995 LC 240,000 redone front seats & looking for seat covers for back ones . Maybe new steering wheel also ? Who installed the steering wheel & how much ? Mine sqweaks when I turn it at times , tried silicone in joints but no luck …
Bob I installed the steering wheel myself. It isn't that bad of a job. You just have to take your time and make sure you unplug the battery for something like 30-60 minutes so the airbag does not go off.
forum.ih8mud.com/threads/land-cruiser-heaven-leather-video-review.899308/ My cost breakdown: $1,300 for the full leather kit $538.36 for factory replacement Toyota foam on the front seats $50.00 for heated seat kit $600 for professional install of all above $2,488.36 Total Steering wheel was $349, and I installed it myself.
Does the 285/75/16 spare fit underneath the backend? I want to lift and upsize my FJ80, but I don't necessarily like the add-on rear racks for spare tires.
Yes, it fits back there fine. I had no problems at all. If you are worried, you can buy the spare tire leveling kit: absolute-wits-end.com/80-series-tire-leveling-kit/
How much was the steering wheel and where did you get it from? Also is that price for the fronts and rears recovered with foam for the fronts? Great video, they came out awesome!
landcruiserheaven.com/80-series-land-cruiser/80-series-interior/ Steering wheel was about $150-200. Front foam was about $500. If you are on Mud I can send you a link to the thread I did about it.
Thank you. I am running the 2.5" Old Man Emu Full Heavy lift kit. I am also running 30mm front spacers from Man-A-Free. I'm using caster correction plates instead of bushings as well.
Cool. It's not to hard. Just take your time and do the one end first. Either do the front and then the rear or other way around. You're just taking the old stuff out and putting the new stuff in.
+Chris Hargrave we drove it on a trip out west last year. 5,525 miles round trip with zero issues. Road noise is very minimal even with the ST/Maxx tires.

JWilliams81 great to see someone loving the 80 series , hate to see people just trash these gems . I just pick one up lately haven't even seen the truck yet but it was great bargain from a family member .

It does look really good man...mine is an expedition rig and gets used in the mountains of Oregon so I'm afraid to spend the money on new leather.
I love this legendary SUV 80k and super car for everyday life and always put huskies and I spin tires it constantly play
Beautiful Cruiser!
Thank you!

Nice 80 series

Lift - Old Man Emu 2.5" lift. Heavy Springs front and rear. 30mm front leveling kit from Man-A-Free.
Tires - 285/75/16 Cooper ST/Maxx
Beautiful Land Cruiser, is that stock suspension or do you have a lift?
The truck has a 2" Old Man Emu lift kit
I forgot to tell you that it is the "heavy" rate springs at all four corners with Man-A-Free 30mm front spring spacers
Can you please tell me if the Toyota horizontal switches came with kit, or can you tell me where you got the switches please. thanks
Do you have a lift on your cruiser. I'm getting ready to do new suspension on my 94. I really like the look of the height and tires you have.

Looks great man! Wow! I'm a Tacoma guy but am seeking an 80 I believe. You have a build thread or anything?

Thank you!

Beautiful rig. Have you ever considered selling?
Thanks Todd. We haven't considered selling her. She is a part of our family :)
Thanks for this vid!
where in C-bus did you get the seats installed? I'm about to get my kit from LCH and I wanna get a quote. thanks
I'm in Cincinnati.
JWilliams81 I don’t know why I assumed you were up here. How much did you pay to get it installed if you don’t mind me asking?

Real nice!!!
+FJZ80 Thanks! I am very happy with everything so far.
Just got mine recently. I’m a pretty big dude..6’2 250 and man it’s tight up in the drivers seat and the seat belt is way too tight when buckled up.
Yeah, the trucks were designed around a smaller Japanese person haha.
There are several guys out there that have put in different seats.

Thank you.
I am running the 2.5" Old Man Emu Full Heavy lift kit.
I am also running 30mm front spacers from Man-A-Free.
I'm using caster correction plates instead of bushings as well.
Very nice , we have similar kits, I haven't got around to install mine yet.
Cool. It's not to hard. Just take your time and do the one end first. Either do the front and then the rear or other way around. You're just taking the old stuff out and putting the new stuff in.
Sweet, did you had to drop your sway bars ?
I did. And bought extended brake lines from Slee.
la mejor camioneta del mundo. como me gustaria tener una asi.
Gracias. Esto me ha llevado un par de años para construir. Pero me encanta el camión.
Awesome 80
What tire size, rim size and offset do you have?
jan585 those are bone stock wheels, stock offset, 285/75/16 Cooper ST/Maxx
Do you know what the offset is?
Great video. Does your truck have a suspension lift?
do you have the link to where you placed your order?
+bmbrabus It is in the description of the video. www.landcruiserheaven.com/
+JWilliams81 cool, thanks man

Is the cruiser your Daily driver?
Usually drive on weekends. Why?
+JWilliams81 just curious, thinking about buying one as a daily, wasn't sure about ride quality and road noise

How much?
You'll have to go to their website linked in my description.
It’s too bad all these 80 series look horrible these days since they’re so old now.
Not sure what you mean. I think they look great, mine is still going strong.
JWilliams81 not talking about yours, I was saying I want one but most of them around me all look horrible from age.
really? couldn't ask for more? 1300 lol
Price it out... for the great quality of leather this is a great price. Do some research.
