One thing that SDS needs to consider adding is league expansion. I prefer the option to keep all existing 30 teams and add up to 6 new teams for franchise mode. It’s always weird to have to replace a team for a custom team.

I'm a Expos/Nats fan. Our Double A team is they're farm team. The Harrisburg Senators. Some good ball players come out of Harrisburg. Like Micheal A. Taylor just to name one

I remember going to the Expos as a young boy. My grand-mother was a huge fan. She hasn't been the same since they quit Montreal.
The overalls really bother me this year especially for pitchers so I made a completely re done roster.
I hate how so many prospects are missing from the game and so many other things aren’t accurate. I am creating the most accurate roster ever currently for ps4 network but once it’s 100% completed and I upload it; PS5 players will also have access to the roster as well:) I either perfectly edited, or accurately created if they weren’t in the game 100% accurate rookies. I did the top 200 prospects in baseball. I then created a formula that works to give me exact numbers for each stat category for every single player in the MLB/any player in AAA that had any playing time last year at all. The top 200 prospects have there stats and overalls correspond with there ETA in the majors and there potential is based on the consensus view from the top MLB scouts+ there body frame+ whether they have the ability to be great at all areas; ie 5 tool player vs 4 tool player vs 3 tool player. ie Jackson Holliday the #1 prospect in baseball has an ETA of 2024 this season and was raking in spring training this year. He has the capability as well of being an elite bat A plus runner who can steal a base, Holliday has more than enough range, good enough hands and actions and plus instincts to play shortstop for a very long time. The only thing that might be in question is his arm, which he’s worked to improve since entering pro ball. There’s a chance he’ll need to slide over to second, though that’s as much because of other Orioles personnel as it is any questions about his arm strength and he is very young with a great frame at 6’p 185lbs so with all of those factors he is a 82ovr with 97potential on my roster. He is currently in AAA on my roster even though the ETA is 2024 bc Baltimore sent him back down for some weird reason after spring training even though he hit very well. I think it’s to manipulate an extra year out of his service time. Another example for reference would be Roman Anthony on the Boston Red Sox AA affiliate; #1 he wasn’t even in the game. He is a consensus top 25 prospect in the MLB sitting at #24. He surged from not even being in the top 100 in MLB to #24 just from last season alone so that tells you how great his production is with the bat. He is compared to Anthony rizzo but much more athletic. Anthony will flash plus run times out of the batter's box and has good instincts on the bases and in the outfield, though he'll probably have average speed after he's fully developed physically. He has handled center field better than expected and the Red Sox believe he can stay there, though most scouts think he's destined for a corner once he slows down. With his power and average-to-solid arm strength, he could fit nicely in right field. Also he has a good frame standing 6’2 220 and 20lbs of that he just put on this off season of pure muscle. All of this combined he has a very high skill set already and an even higher ceiling and his ETA according to MLB scouts is 2025 so his overall and stats are as such so when he debuts in season 2 of your franchise he will be about 78-82 overall and has 95 potential because he could potentially be great at every part of the game and has a super high baseball iq. One last example would be Bryce Eldridge; The best two-way talent in the 2023 Draft, Eldridge won MVP honors at the 2022 18-and-under World Cup after homering and spinning a shutout inning in a gold-medal victory over Chinese Taipei. Though an ankle injury limited him on the mound last spring, he still continued to dominate both ways, carrying Madison HS (Vienna) to its second Virginia Class 6 title in three seasons and winning Gatorade’s state player of the year award. Signed for $3,997,500 as the 16th overall choice last July, he homered six times in 31 games and reached Single-A in his pro debut. Eldridge’s raw power ranked among the best in the 2023 class and is his best attribute. He already hits the ball harder than most Minor Leaguers as a teenager, thanks to a quick left-handed stroke and the strength and leverage in his 6-foot-7 frame. He can crush the ball out of any part of the park and also shows some feel for hitting with a relatively compact swing for his size and a disciplined approach. Despite his below-average speed, Eldridge is more athletic than most players his size. After displaying soft hands and plus arm strength at first base as an amateur, he spent his first pro summer in right field. He has the arm for right but his range is fringy, so he still projects more as a first baseman who can provide at least average defense. He was interested in trying to play both ways as a pro after showing a 92-94 mph fastball that peaked at 96 and flashing a solid low-80s slider as an amateur, but the Giants are going to have him focus solely on hitting. Because of the Giants decision he isn’t a pitcher at all in the game so I edited him so you he has the hitting stats he supposed to have allowing you the option in your franchise mode to use him as the good 2-way player he is. His ETA is 2026 so his overall and stats are as such so that in 2026 he will have developed to a 75-83 overall player depending on how he plays in A ball year one and how he plays in year 2 of your franchise mode. I also edited every single player in free agency accurately by assigning them to a team, editing them, and then putting them back in FA bc in the game you can’t edit players in FA. I also created Trevor Bauer based on his last 2 years in Japan Baseball+ his last season in the MLB combined with his performance just recently against NYY. He is in FA for you to sign if you want in your franchise or any CPU controlled team because technically any MLB team could currently sign him. I edited every roster so every team has an accurate 40 man roster and an accurate 26 man MLB team so they more properly value there players and use them accordingly in your franchise mode. I finished by doing a once over of every player in the MLB/AAA who played at all last year by editing there stats according to there last 2 years in the MLB+ there career averages in every category combined with checking how many games they play each year on average to find the correct durability stat for each player. Finalized by checking trades and transactions one last time according to MLB.com. It took me 3 weeks of 6+ hours a day and I only have 15 teams left to do my once over too before I check the trades and transactions one more time and then upload the roster to the ps4 MLB servers for everyone to use and enjoy without having to waste all that time like I did, it was very boring and tedious at times but it’s worth it to get the best most realistic experience which is how I enjoy the game. Not to toot my own horn but I think if you download this roster I created and try and find an inaccurate flaw you would be hard pressed to do so after how hard I worked and how much time and energy I put into it. So I think you’ll really enjoy it. My PSN username is DTEL92 and I will title the Roster- “2024 100% Accurate Roster w 100% accurate Top 200 MLB Prospects and Minor League Roster 04/5/24” and I will update the roster as the season progresses as needed and always update the title to the last day updated, I watch the highlights of every single MLB game every morning and make notes for updates that day. When I thoroughly complete the roster tomorrow I will edit this comment to add that I’ve completed and uploaded the roster and I will rewrite the title of the roster here and my username. Thank you for the content and I hope this helps your fun levels and experience playing MLB the Show on PS4 or PS5 for you. I also created Roki Sasaki who is the #1 best pitcher in Japan baseball as he as said numerous times he is coming to the MLB and is rumoured to post next year. I also created Munetaka Murakami as he is the best bat in Japan baseball and has said he is also coming to the MLB and is rumoured to post next year. You can’t upload players in your franchise mode you have to do so before starting and I want those 2 players available in my 2025 season so I created them and they will be available immediately in Free Agency to be signed because that’s the only way to get them into the franchise mode. If you’d rather not have them, assign them to a team and edit their names and overalls down to 45 and you’ll never see them again lol. The roster will be completed in April 5th and uploaded under the username DTEL92. I will edit this comment to confirm it’s completed and uploaded on the 5th.
Very excited for this series, gonna be doing my own franchise like you did in 23 with 2 teams. I’m bringing the Nashville Stars in and debating what the other city will be whether it’s Portland, Salt Lake City, or possibly Oklahoma City still working that out but whatever city I pick is gonna be the team I play with.
I was gonna move Oakland to Vegas or Portland but I decided in my universe they decided to stay in Oakland and they built the stadium at Howard Terminal like they originally planned to.

You glossed over the fact that the Expos made the playoffs (back when it was just NLCS/ALCS) in 1981. Coincidentally, that was also a strike year.
I had a feeling it would be Expos after we got that Oilers series of a former real team. Baby Blues look sick but I think we should add a Nike Logo onto the jerseys. IDK how you do your International Prospects but maybe a random generator with the top guys on the big money teams would be smart just an idea. Super hype for another MLB series tho.

Having such a hard time setting up my own version of this but I wanted to run my idea for how I’d run the draft I’d assume the top 15 players were protected aswell as top prospects from each team? I do like how you did it though. I also thought about doing the construction of the team inside franchise mode so I get a better visual of whose on each 40 man in case I wanted to make those guys protected.
U can just load up a franchise, take note of the players not on the 40 man, and then pick your players offline and load up your new franchise with the drafted roster
