lol glad to help 😊👍 Def easier to avoid the mistakes . I’m happy with the tread plate guage , but I’d add more supports underneath . Maybe one more per side . And yep ,, that width is actually perfect , I wouldn’t change it .
There’s no wrong end . The lift doesn’t know which way the Machine on it is oriented . The overhang is identical back to front over the frame when it’s up . And yep the reason it kicks is in the down position it’s overhanging the frame further from that end . That panel suits me for oil changes better at the front than as a knock out for a rear tire . It’s often difficult to get a drip pan under a mower with the deck on it . I don’t use the lift as a “motorcycle” lift
@@BAGOTCORNERI know this video is old, but…. there is a wrong end. The removable panel in the center of the original lift is there to remove rear wheels from motorcycles. That’s the load end of the lift.
@@SamGuimbellotyep I know . But I don’t want to use that end . As far as what end you use ,, the lift doesn’t know which way it’s loaded . I prefer that end .
Very Handy for working on a quad bike or snow mobile saves the knees bending over. Looks good bit of kit mate I like the mods. Can see handles make a big difference. The ramps look nice and sturdy. Would you get an Argo on it ? Just wondered. Nice one mate good job on it. We had 13 degs c and showers. Tc until the next one 👍
Well I’d bet an Argo would work a treat on there ! You know how it is ,, if it ain’t what you want it to be ,, change it ! Thanks for commenting buddy 😊👍
Hi Jeff , I did, but I wouldn’t do it like that again. I would put a couple more out rates, gusset them, and then just weld a plate on top Now that I have the extensions on the sides I never take them off, and when I put my ATV on it I get a wee bit of sag. I also have it spun backwards because I thought I would use the rear wheel gate as a access point for oil to drop out etc., but again I don’t use it like that so right way around would be fine, and then, if I wanted later to have an access panel, I would just use the plasma cutter and make a hole. All in all though I’ve built a lot of projects on that lift and it’s far more useful this way, then it would be otherwise.
Thank you . Well , it lifts my quad up easily for service . It’s been mentioned that I built it backward , but I wanted it to have a trap door for oil changes , ratchet extensions , etc. In the end it only matters that it suits my needs . A side by side ,, hmmmm might be a bit much
I’m not sure how you figure that. They work perfect for ATVs ride on lawnmowers etc. and if you watched the video you’d see you there are also removable
Thanks for the video Vince, it gives me some ideas on how I will modify mine.
Always easier to steal ideas than come up with great original ones 😁

Why did you put the ramps on the wrong end??. The removable panel is there to remove the back wheel . That might be the reason it wanted to tip .

Will this table lift a Honda Goldwing (around 900 to 1,000 lbs)?
Lifts my harley and my atv.
Just wondering,
Did you flip the table upside down in order to weld the swuare tubing? Im considering doing something similar to my lift. TIA

Good job.
Nice job what do you feel the max weight it could pick up? Side by side?
Thank you .

Nice, but the extensions are way to wide for most DIY motorcycle maintenance.
I’m not sure how you figure that.
