I think the AI prioritizes the player when choosing crusades. When I tried to keep the North Sea Empire, the AI whipped me out by the second crusade. I won the first crusade outnumbered 2-1 and then the second was almost 4-1 and that was it. They took England and the rest fell to civil war.

The idea of rebuilding Carthage WITH the war elefants was super awesome. Really. Thank you. Edit: 1:24 I always hope to find some indian wanderer who I then give my heir to teach him and change his culture into indian. That has the risk that at first, your vassals hate you because you're a creol of completely foreign culture. But if you endure that part you can form a hybrid culture in your homeland without any exclaves in India.
Honestly i always forget about educating children to change cultures not really something i've used much, But now that you reminded me Ill be checking all my random courtiers see if we can get an easy culture change!
@@SnapStrategy I always do it like this: you can search for people in the bottom of the screen. I open that option, and then I adjust the search category to "indian culture" and "inside my range of diplomacy". After some decades, chances arent bad that there are 2 people or so listed.

You may know of it as this Basilisk of Stone and a Resurrecting Phoenix. Perhaps, a Jew Named Peter, that is "Jeu Cephas" could shed some light on those ashes for you. Unless you do not yet have eyes to see?

May have been easier starting in Lebanon, as one of the Phoenician city-states. Then as a vassal to whatever blob rules Lebanon, it would be easy to settle in the Western Mediterranean and abandon Lebanon as historically happened when Alexander conquered the Levant and forced Phoeni colonies in the Western Med to re-organize as Carthage. Now to make it harder; 3 empires claim to be the heirs of Rome. The 3 eagles are Byzantium, HRE and Orthodox Russia. It's only fitting if those 3 capitals are thoroughly pillaged and salted.

@@whitfieldhyde5957 The Romans hunted them to extinction by the 4th Century. They were driven to extinction through both hunting and use in Roman games. Carthage could have possibly stopped that from occurring, but Carthage was still using the population for war and conflict. If a population was to survive to medieval times, it would have to be fully domesticated.

I may be wrong but I think the plagues also appear more frequently in areas with wars. In my current playthrough of Bohemia I haven't had a single plague touch my lands in multiple generations since consolidating the Kingdom
I don't think war in an area have anything with to do with that, last time there was a war in my domain was over 100 years ago and constantly I've plagues. What I noticed is I can't go to war that magically there's a plague near my domain and well I go to war constantly. Notice that wars are very far away from my domain, nobody gets even remotely close to my domain and still plagues nearby.
yea tbf, think it should atleast be bottom of the tree or something, so you need to invest some time to get it. Also idk why but claim throne seems to always have like 95% chance haha
I find your monolog of your games entertaining. However, I really, really, no really enjoyed the "cursed timeline bit." I've played ck3 a lot, and I feel every timeline IS the Cursed timeline. OOF! Nailed it Snap!
Laith would approve, but next idea, restore the kingdom of Israel, build the third temple and revive Judaism. If that's not your cuppa of tea, restore the Assyrian Empire by making Syria independent, and restore the borders of their empire.

Can we stop with the most ridiculous event ever in CK3. Child travels across the globe to meet peers and comes back half dead. Someone at paradox put this event in at the launch of CK3, most players just ignored it, but now it is compulsory, and now your heirs can readily die from travelling injuries. Just stop it, it is utter nonsense. Likely to be from the same paradox guy who also invented the ridiculous wandering heir scenario. Where you used to go to allocate one of your heirs a title only to find that they had randomly gone wandering the earth it was hard to get them to come back.
I used to be subscribed until you made that weird israel video right when their was a war breaking out, very divisive. I'll come back and watch a few but I'll never subscribe again

There should be a legend for kings of Africa to restore Carthage and unlock elephants for free in their culture

Only problem with a medieval Carthage having elephants is that the North African elephant was hunted to extinction.
