This looks really interesting. I want to go see it but I saw it's showing at the alliance theatre, and unfortunately I rolled horde - HEYO
I just read this play, and I loved it! I want to direct this soon!
Is this a parody or some really dumb joke?
Sounds like she hasn't played the game at all, doesn't it? "You can be a warrior or a creature." Warrior is the only legitimate class she could come up with.
Very good play!
It must be wonderful to be connected well enough to get rewarded for this 🤨.
She might not know a ton about the game but that isn't the point of this video. Its about the journey the character takes once she leaves the world of them game. While yes I do agree that it would be nice for her to know a little more about the game seeing that such a big portion of her play is based off of it, she may have also just been at a lack of words on how to describe the game to someone who does not play it. I personally don't play it and even when ive asked my brother to explain it to me, he says "you just have to play it..."
I would challenge her to make characters the different realm types and see the vastly different ways people interact with each other. Also this will probably destroy the super cheery image of everything. Not everyone is nice and fun and helpful. There are a great deal of people who actively try to disrupt other's gaming experiences. Examples would include ganking, camping, killing NPCs that you are trying to interact with, etc.
Try doing some research next time. It's a shame you won anything for this considering how way in left field your information is.
This lady clearly has no idea what she's talking about, and I doubt she's ever even played WOW
I doubt the play is about the mechanics and lore of WoW. Based on the interview it seems to be about a woman finding herself. I don't think you need to play WoW to understand online relationships.
I think it could've been a nice concept, and though the story isn't really based on WoW, I wish the playwright would've done some more research on the game, as its disappointing as a potential viewer to see the game being represented as little more than stereotypes.
