  • The story of Shem, Ham and Japheth- the three sons of Noah- is a strange one. Although the original audience of the story would have understood the subtleties of the tale, its hard for a twenty-first century, western reader to discern precisely what's going on.
In today's Bible Study, we'll take a closer look at some possible interpretations. We'll also discuss how this story helped the Jewish people define themselves as a distinct people, set apart from the neighbouring nations.
    Genesis 9:18-28 (NIV)
18 The sons of Noah who came out of the ark were Shem, Ham and Japheth. (Ham was the father of Canaan.) 19 These were the three sons of Noah, and from them came the people who were scattered over the whole earth.
20 Noah, a man of the soil, proceeded[a] to plant a vineyard. 21 When he drank some of its wine, he became drunk and lay uncovered inside his tent. 22 Ham, the father of Canaan, saw his father naked and told his two brothers outside. 23 But Shem and Japheth took a garment and laid it across their shoulders; then they walked in backward and covered their father’s naked body. Their faces were turned the other way so that they would not see their father naked.
24 When Noah awoke from his wine and found out what his youngest son had done to him, 25 he said,
    “Cursed be Canaan!
    The lowest of slaves
will he be to his brothers.”
    26 He also said,
“Praise be to the Lord, the God of Shem!
May Canaan be the slave of Shem.
    27 May God extend Japheth’s[b] territory;
may Japheth live in the tents of Shem,
and may Canaan be the slave of Japheth.”
28 After the flood Noah lived 350 years.

I agree with certain biblical scholars that the phrase 'shall not uncover the nakedness of the father' is dishonoring the father and is an euphemism of incest because it was spelled out in Leviticus 18 which incidentally and is mainly about incest with women, the relatives of women. Notice twice, Moses indicated that Ham is the father of Canaan, not Noah. Noah had no other son, other than the three, Shem, Ham and Japheth, through whom the current world came to be. Also God blessed the three sons in Genesis 9:1, but Noah could not cancel God's blessing on Ham, so finding out what Ham did to him in verse 24, he cursed Canaan which in Hebrew means 'humbled, subdued, brought low'. and blessed Shem and Japheth and that Canaan will serve both of them. But with Ham, the blessing was 'qatan', 'small, insignificant and unimportant', verse 24. The prophetic pronouncement of Canaan who was yet to be born, [and with the knowledge that Ham had also three older sons, Mizraim, Phut, and Cush, all of whom populated Africa], the descendants of Canaan settled in what is now Palestine doing every sort of evil that God hated and practically spelled out in the Torah that things God prohibited His people from emulating. The lie that was perpetuated by fathers of Europe that the curse was really on Ham not just Canaan has caused so much grief on Africans who became slaves. Slavery of one 'race' was not peculiar to ones own color, but that slavery existed in every 'race', white, black, yellow, and red. We are all of one human race and we came from the sons of Noah and are related to each other. There are three blood types, A, B and O and we can receive blood to save lives.

There is NO way God would allow anyone to rape Noah!!! No way!!!!
      That intepretation is wrong.
In accordance with the book of Jasher in the Apocrypha.
It is todo with his garment once belonging to Adam made by God being stolen. Later in history it is passed on to Nimrod a decendant of Ham and then Nimrod was killed by Esau and his CLOAK was stolen and then Jacob borrowed it to deceive and steal Esau's blessing.

Thank you very much for explaining this story, because I could not see why he cursed Canaan. You asked yourself how Noah knew what had happened to him. In my dutch translation the phrase "When Noah awoke from his wine, he knew what his youngest son had done to him" is slightly different. It says "When Noah awoke from his wine and came to know what his youngest son had done to him". This means in my opinion that Shem and/or Japhet told him afterwards. I looked it up in the rational bible by Dennis Prager. There it says "When Noah awoke from his wine and learned what his youngest son had done to him.

What happens if Canaan was the offspring of Ham and his mother? Still uncovers nakedness of father (Leviticus) and placed in the line of his father’s family because of the mother. The uncovered sin was Canaan.

One scholar said that in the original language the story of Noah's curse on Ham and Canaan gives the meaning of a " pulling back of the tent flap " .
Kind of a situation where Ham saw his father drunk and uncovered . Ham probably mocked him and then Canaan standing by and watching his father's attitude decided to take it a step further and pulled back the tent flap to show the whole camp.
When the scriptures say when Noah saw what his younger son had done the word " his " is in a tense that means Ham's younger son Canaan.

The narrative is plain. He saw his nakedness, as in a shameful state...DRUNK, and instead of covering him and keeping it to himself, he went and told his brothers (disclosing his shame). That was his sin.
Note: I think “awoke” means to come out of his drunken state.

The cannaites ended up mixing there blood line with all sorts of weird creatures not created by the most high …there where a wicked people from the start which appears to have started with Hams wicked act .

I can appreciate that you said you are speculating on this topic as it appears to be difficult but once you hear the truth of the matter it isnt at all. 1st the truth not only sounds good, it makes sense and 3rdly it sets you free with no more questions and Im afraid you dont have that in your summation but let me shed some light on this topic. 1st today a lot of passages are difficult that shouldnt be bcuz we have corrupted bibles that change the original meaning to be more acceptable today and whenever it comes to difficult passages I personally find the King James is always reliable. 2ndly the Holy Spirit is the one who opens your eye's to the correct meaning not study or diligence so unless your are born again by water and by spirit you wont have the assurance of knowing you are correct. I have found the reason why there is difficulty in this passage is bcuz of what someone has taught without the true meaning and even though it may sound good does not set you free. So here is what I am convinced is the truth of the matter. This is nothing more than what it says at face value and that is Ham mocked his father by telling everyone his dad made a fool of himself by getting drunk and by being naked. How do I know that? Bcuz his brother simply rememdied the situation walking in backwards and covered him up, how did Noe know when he woke up?? Was his butt sore cuz Ham raped him ? No, he heard about it by those who were around when he woke up, if it was an act of homosexuality his brothers would have been irrate and he probably would have been put to death. Shem also had a wife and just what do you think Noe's wife would be doing if that is what he did? You dont think she would have heard or known? This simply is Ham mocked his father and that still today is a breaking of a commandment by not honouring your parents and Noe cursed him as it is disrespectful and dishounorable RUclips prophets today are filling minds with false teachings such as the nephilum fable as well when it is clear that the sons of God are men. Shem mocked his father and Noe cursded him when he found out, thats it nothing else

Must be white lol... the bible and Torah are from Africa not from European thieves..... you people are pathetic like this fake preacher.... and wonder why he never said what races made the Hebrews Israelites what you call the Jews were from the same continent of Africa till Europen changed it on the map lol.... look how the fake preacher made sure not to mention That the Bible directly refers to Egypt as the Land of Ham. The word Ham is believed to come from the word Khawm which means “black, hot, and burnt” in Hebrew and chamam, also a Hebrew word for “to be hot”.
Ham is the youngest of Noah’s three sons along with Japheth and Shem. Ham himself has four sons, namely: Cush (Ethiopia), Mizraim (Egypt), Put (Libya), and lastly, Canaan (Canaanites are believed to be the first people in Israel). The Bible stated that Ham and his sons, and their soon-to-be descendants lived and became the forefathers of the African continent and the Middle East ...... you can't lie about that and you have the nerve when your Europeans are from Japheth and look how perverted your race is..... The ways of the Greeks were often seen as beneath them, despite the fact that a lot of Roman culture and myth is taken and expanded upon from the Greeks. The Romans would pursue sexual relationships with younger men, but these relationships were only seen as forgivable if the older man was a freeborn Roman and he was having sex with a younger slave or prostitute who wasn’t of Roman origin. The Lex Scantinia was a law set in place in Rome that penalized sex with a young freeborn male, preventing any form of pederasty as the Greeks practiced it from happening in Rome. It should be noted that the younger boys involved in pederastic relationships were often of the same age as young girls who were set into arranged marriages with much older men, around the ages of 12 to 16. This occurred in both Greek and Roman culture. The rituals of marriage symbolized a girl becoming a woman, just as a pederastic relationship symbolized a boy becoming a man. Another important note to make is that there is little to no evidence of a pederastic relationship existing between two women...... these are facts and stop acting like you know what in the bible like most white scholars please keep your fox news propaganda with false religion bullshit to yourself lol..... Genesis 5:32. The name Ham was first mentioned in the Bible as one of Noah’s three sons.
Genesis 9:18. Ham as the father of Canaan.
Psalms 105:23, 78:51, 1Ch 4:40. Egypt referred to as the land of Ham.
Genesis 10:6. The four sons of Ham....... The daughter of the Pharaoh, found Moses in the basket and they raised him like a grandson. For many years Pharaoh believed that Moses was his blood grandson. In a nutshell, the Pharaoh couldn’t tell the difference between a Hebrew baby and an Egyptian baby. This means Moses looked like a black African. Moses was mistaken for an Egyptian by others as well. After he helped a group of girls water their flock, they mentioned this to their father. They said “An Egyptian delivered us out of the hand of the shepherds, and also drew water enough for us, and watered the flock” (Exodus 2:19.)
The fact that the group of girls thought Moses was Egyptian, means he looked like a black African. The apostle Paul was also mistaken for an Egyptian. In the book of Acts, in the New Testament, Paul was being arrested and a Roman soldier said, “Art not thou that Egyptian, which before these days madest an uproar, and leddest out into the wilderness four thousand men that were murderers?”(Acts 21:38.)
The fact that Paul was mistaken for an Egyptian means he resembled Egyptians. This means Paul looked like black Africans. So what did the Ancient Egyptians that Moses and Paul resembled look like? Below are pictures.
Words from Ancient Historians and Scholars that prove black people are the biblical Israelites.
      3. Israel is in North East Africa Not the Middle East.
Israelites migrated from North East Africa to West Africa where they were kidnapped into slavery and shipped to the Americas.
In 70 AD the Romans invaded Israel causing millions of Israelites to escape to Africa. “In his book ,The Great Roman-Jewish War: 66-70, the Roman historian, Flavius Josephus, stated over thousands of years ago, that the Israelites migrated into Africa. He writes:
“General Vaspasian and his son Caesar Titus fought against the Jews. Millions of Jews fled into Africa, among other places, fleeing from Roman persecution and starvation during the siege.” here's the nail in the coffin lol....... seventh century BC, the 25th Dynasty came into conflict with the Neo-Assyrian Empire - a conflict described in the Bible's 2 Kings.
The Bible speaks of the Pharaoh Taharqa - 747 to 656 BC - being called to the aid of the Kingdom of Judah to wage war against Assyria's King Sennacherib.
And according to Tom Meyer, a professor of Bible studies at Shasta Bible College and Graduate School in California, US, there is ample archaeological evidence of these events.
He told Express.co.uk: "Archaeological evidence has come to light demonstrating the historicity of one of the 'Black Pharaohs', a line of rulers from the 25th Dynasty of Egypt that originated in ancient Nubia or modern-day northern Sudan and ruled over all of Egypt

Very well said, and also in the case of Noah it's very possible for him to have known what the son did having been drunk and to remember everything that happened when the eyes clear, I have seen someone dead drunk and in situation that he remembers everything that everyone said and did when he was drunk . Drink is not a sin anyway but a drunk is a sin and drinking leads to drunk so as a Christian we must be very careful in strong drink in take. Shalom

Thank you for a great commentary on the subject. I think biblical scholars may be over-complicating things in trying to figure out what Ham's sin was. It may be as simple as just viewing Noah in his naked state. Shem and Japheth did the exact opposite of Ham and got the exact opposite treatment vs. Ham. If Noah's wife was with him - in marriage, husband and wife are one flesh. It would make sense that viewing the nakedness of one is viewing the nakedness of the other.

Leviticus 18:6 in the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible reads as follows:
"None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover their nakedness: I am the Lord."
This verse is part of a chapter in the Book of Leviticus that discusses various laws and prohibitions regarding sexual relationships and moral conduct. It emphasizes avoiding sexual relations with close relatives, highlighting the importance of maintaining appropriate boundaries within family relationships. The phrase "uncover their nakedness" is a euphemism for engaging in sexual activity with a close relative.
Ham raped his mother as a power play against Noah. Noah's son and grandson Canaan was the result. Going backward meant they went backward to cover their fathers shame. They disown Ham and never mention him again. Genesis 10:21.........Look who is missing.

Why is Japheth listed last being the first born?
The bible lists the names of children In 2 orders.
    #1. By Age
    #2. By Wives
Any time the oldest son is not listed first, / before his younger brothers this means the oldest brother is the son of a handmaid or second wife.
    Examples:
(Genesis 5:32 KJV) And Noah was five hundred years old: and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
(Genesis 10:6 KJV) And the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan.
(Genesis 11:26 KJV) And Terah lived seventy years, and begat Abram, Nahor, and Haran.
(1 Chronicles 1:28 KJV) The sons of Abraham; Isaac, and Ishmael.
Notice above how the sons listed last are all the older sons in their family, but because they are not of the first wife, they are listed last. If age is being shown then the oldest son will be listed first.
    One more example:
(Genesis 35:23 KJV) The sons of Leah; Reuben, Jacob’s firstborn, and Simeon, and Levi, and Judah, and Issachar, and Zebulun:
(1 Chronicles 2:1 KJV) These are the sons of Israel; Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, Issachar, and Zebulun,
All the brothers above are from the first wife, but all these brothers are not older than some of the following brothers from other wives.
(1 Chronicles 2:2 KJV) Dan, Joseph, and Benjamin, Naphtali, Gad, and Asher.
The wife Noah took on the ark is not the mother of Shem, Ham or Japheth and we know this because Genesis 9:21 means
Leviticus 20:11 and the bible never says she is, but constantly says they are Noah's sons. Naamah from the line of Cain is the mother of the canaanites but not shem, ham or Japheth.

As humans, all we can do is try to understand God with what he has provided. The old testament and new testament are two drastic teachings about God. If every story in the old testament is broken down it will illustrate one of God's son attempt to bring Glory in their father's name. First of God's offspring that was anointed with God's spirit was the Light, then Adam, Seth, Enoch,Noah, Abraham, Issac, Jacob, and Joseph with the breath of life extending back from Adam God was with man. The light can not dwell in darkness that is why man must stay true to God's path to righteousness. Moses, Joshua, Eli, Samuel and the other judges are perfect examples of “God with us”. Everytime the judges do well in the eyes of the Lord. God rewarded them with his amazing power. Jesus was enlightened with God's spirit from “day” 1 of creation as the Light. As the Light, he was entrusted with the plan for the universe unlike Morning(satan) and Evening(Angels). God never intended for sin to fall upon man. The greed and jealousy of Morning caused a rebellion in heaven. Creating a faction in the kingdom of heaven. Morning fell from heaven due to his disobedience. His followers fell with him and corrupted mankind with all kinds of wickedness. The restart of the world with Noah is the same story told to shed on a different perspective. God=Noah Ham=morning (satan) his followers defiled women thus knowing the nakedness of thy father[referred to the father of canaan(Baal worshippers)]. Shem=Light(Jesus) japhet= angels. The Book of Enoch has great details on the corruption of humanity. As stated in Genesis Enoch was taken by God to save him from corruption. These stories can be paralleled with the old testament stories about Moses, Joshua, Samuel, David, Elijah, Jonah, Daniel, and the rest of the prophet's. They accomplished the will of God.

It's interesting, after talking about not making presumptions, this speaker states at 14:25, " and Noah goes on to curse Ham". The Bible never states or eludes to Ham being cursed. Canaan was cursed by Noah. All three sons were blessed by God, as stated earlier.
The question and the key to the puzzle is, why was Canaan cursed? Everything else regarding Ham is quite frankly racist speculation that has been used for centuries to justify barbaric slavery and long lasting, unwarranted discrimination. The funny thing is, most of the people that paid the price are not Hamitic but Shemitic. They just happen to share color with the descendants of Ham.

Good questions... Adam was formed from the dust of the ground, Eve from Adam. Adam was XY, Eve was XX... I proffer all three 'X's' were identical, btw. Sarah was old and barren until God intervened, a 'miraculous' conception occurred, even mocking incest. Isaac's second cousin wife, Rebekah, was barren... God intervened, another 'miraculous' conception, also mocking incest. Jacob's two first cousin sister-wives, Leah and Rachel, were both barren... God intervened, more 'miraculous' conceptions mocking incest. God killed Judah's two elder sons, Er and Onan... God intervened giving Tamar no choice but to be a childless widow... or, get pregnant by Judah, thereby completing the twelfth tribe, setting the stage for the fulfillment of the Abrahamic Covenant... John the Baptizer's parents were old, and near of kin... God intervened, and along came JTB paving the way. Mary's immaculate conception was a walk in the park. Got faith?

Genesis 10:21 says Shem was the older brother of Japheth, but does not mention being older than Ham. The Bible adds breadcrumbs and facts to help us along in the story. Ham slept with Noah’s wife who was the mother of Shem and Japheth, but not personally Ham’s mother. Ham was the half-brother of Shem and Japheth. Noah’s wife became pregnant by Ham. When the child was born that’s when Noah realized he was not the father but Ham was; Noah therefore cursing the child. If Noah cursed the child’s name before he was born, then Ham could have changed the name of the child so the curse wouldn’t apply. Canaan was born when Noah applied the curse. Ge. 9:18 precedes the story by making a distinction of who Noah’s sons were in the ark yet adds the fact that Canaan is Ham’s son. Noah’s wife would have raised him(Canaan) and when the earth became more populous people would have thought he was Noah’s son too- even from the Ark but he wasn’t. Ham did this very act for power, as sleeping with a King’s wife or (father’s wife/concubine)concubines denotes you are taking his place or throne. (2Samuel 12:8, Ge.35-21-22, 2Samuel 16:22, 1Kings2:22).

You need to read the Bible and not add to it. You then tread on dangerous waters. Proverbs 30:6
Revelation 22:18-19 warn about adding or taking away from Scripture.
Many take scriptures out of context . Bible is like fire , taking scripture from here and there and linking it often without context shows an absolute lack of reverence .
You see so many endtime prophesies by American evangelicals of which many books have been written that are now proved false.
Also since when has the Bible implied Ham as of being of no great significance? In fact if anything the Egyptians and Canaanites - Hamites were world-renowned. The Philistines descended from Mizraim/Egypt and came from Captor/Crete to Israel.
Joshua encountered fortified cities of the Canaanites while the Israelites were camped in tents. So called Christians in the 29th Century associated the Curse of Canaan with Africans which in their minds justified the enslavement of the Africans. Again not only was the scripture was taken out of context but even the geology of who the Canaanites were was wrong.
Genesis 10 - Sinites one branch of Canaanites are Chinese. Sinim is Hebrew for China . They were not from Africa.
Yet we still see that God is no respecter of persons that Rahab a Canaanite is included in the genealogy of Jesus Christ as is Ruth( Moabite).

I believe you are pretty spot on as far as the nakedness of your father euphemism part. I also agree that even the oldest of hymns were contemporary at some point. If you listen to some of the songs from the Bible played on original instruments, in their original scale and sang in the original archaic Hebrew.......most would consider it beautifully "trippy", and, out of context, one might be tempted to consider it "dark". All that said.....I believe that "the church adapting to modern culture" should be taken more seriously and carefully than perhaps anything else.

I disagree with the interpretation that Noah's son, HAM had raped his mother (Noah's wife) and bore a son named CANAAN... How?... let us analyze...
Q1? ...Why were Japeth and Shem required to walk backward holding a blanket to cover the nakedness of Noah if the mother (Noah's wife) was the one raped by Ham?...
Q2?... And why was Ham laughing at Noah being drunk naked?...
Q3?... Was the "Walking Backward holding a blanket" by Japheth and Shem to cover Noah's nakedness a Metaphor and not a literal Action?...
Q4?... Was Noah's Nakedness also a metaphor, and not a literal Nakedness?...
Q5?... Why was the wife of Noah never RESIST the incest rape of her son, Ham, or at least shout for HELP to her 2 Sons?... as if the mother had given HAM her permission to have sex with her... if that is the case, that is not called RAPE, but A CONSENTING INCEST, logically speaking...
But, unfortunately, that was not what actually had really happened... how?... let us analyze the narration of the Bible (Scripture)...

The narration of the Bible was that after Noah woke up and was told the story of what Ham had done, Noah got angry with Canaan... How can Noah have been able to put a curse (punish) on Canaan if the boy was not yet born at the time the incest rape took place?... No woman can bear (give birth) to a bastard son after being raped for just a day or single night... unless the boy was already existing at the time Noah got drunk, logically speaking...
Take note:... During the Time of Adam and Eve up to the time of Noah, The LAW OF MARITAL INCEST was not yet given or implemented by God to mankind... As long as "Man to Woman" relationship regardless of their blood ties and not same-sex relationship... for example, "Brother to Sister," "Male Cousin to Female Cousin," "Aunt to Nephew," like the Parents of Moses, and "Uncle to Niece" relationships like the parents of Jacob (Isaac and Rebecca) were still allowed by God up to the time the Israelites were slaves in the Land of Egypt...
Remember, LOT (Abraham's Nephew) and his 2 daughters slept with him while he was drunk after the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, and God allowed it to happen at that time, and never mentioned in the Bible that God had cursed Lot's descendants because of the INCEST done by his 2 daughters... Only during the Israelites' EXODUS towards the Promised Land that God had given to Moses the LAWS at Mt. Sinai... and one of the Mosaic Laws was the Prohibition of INCEST MARITAL LAW...
Most Bible Scholars, Theologians, and Apologists, that HAM had sodomized his own father while Noah was drunk (the same-sex Sin of Ham against God)... that is why Japhet and Shem had to walk backward carrying the Blanket to cover the literal nakedness of their father... Noah was the one raped by his son, HAM... and not Noah's wife... HAM has a BISEXUAL INCEST BEHAVIOR.
Why did Noah curse CANAAN, (the son of Ham, Noah's grandchild) who already existed at the time of the crime, and not HAM himself?... To give more PAINS and SUFFERINGS toward HAM to bear his descendant... If Noah cursed HAM, eventually the curse STOP at HAM when he died... but if from Ham's son, CANAAN, Ham will still bear his descendant curse even until he is gone...
Analogy... for example... "If you like to extract secret information from a person, do not torture the person, for the person will endure the pain even to accept his own death, BUT if you use to leverage the person's LOVE ONES or try to torture his LOVE ONES, he will NEVER be able to bear the pain of seeing them hurt and most likely give up his secret information for the sake of his love ones... the same analogy...
It might sound unfair to the innocent boy CANAAN for the Crime/Sin of his father (Ham), but God allowed it to happen... WHY?... because God himself "curses or punishes the children for the Sins of their Father up to the 3rd and 4th Generations" of a person's descendant who has atrocity (hate) with God (Deut. 5:9)... the same analogy with Noah to Ham's son, Canaan...
Facts and Truth, Biblically and logically speaking... Praise be to God in Christ... Amen.

The sons of Noah were not his own sons , except Ham.
They were gotten , meaning Noah was to father them .
Genesis 9:20 And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard:
A husbandman is someone who farms on someone else's land . Meaning Noah did not inherit land , the whole earth was devided between the three sons of Noah
The decendants of Shem was not only his own, but their were born unto him aswel .
So the linage of Shem is of multiple races out of the three brothers

Some scholars have theorized that Ham either raped or took advantage of his mother, Noah’s wife. From that shameful act, Canaan (son of Ham) was born.
Given Ham was the oldest son, the inheritance couldn’t be allowed to be passed on to his decedents, which is why Noah cursed Canaan (noticed the text didn’t mention Ham as being blessed or cursed perhaps by that time he might have already been banished for what he had done).
The writer of Genesis made it a point to inform the reader that Shem followed the one true God which is why he was blessed with one day capturing back the inheritance which was the land of Canaan.

Which is how he convinced people that he should be crowned dictator (And God), when they saw his powers (i don't know if they figured out, it was just his cloak).
Later eisov (easu), stole it from Nimrod in a fight and killed him. His brother Jacob “borrowed” it from him when he ‘stole’ his blessings, so that his blind father issac would touch him and feel the Hairy texture of it and 🤔 think he's blessing the hairy eisov whom he originally wanted to bless rather then Jacob. All As described in scripture. But Jacob probably put it back in its place where eisov left it, afterwards.

I believe the whole story starts at the point where Noah becomes drunk! If your drunk, your delusional, your not in your sound mind that God created you with. So you trying to fill in the blanks the whole next day. And the honor that Hams two brothers tried to protect, Noah Himself threw it all away when he became drunk. I can’t figure out what happened and there is no use in trying to, but the one thing I do know is that Noah could have prevented all of it. Thank you for this video.

Also would you consider the fruit that Eve ate was actually intercourse with the serpent? Remember, it wasn't cursed yet and its figure was completely different. The serpent had a seed. "Enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed". Cain was of his father that wicked one. In biblical times, there was no grandsons terminology , etc. In other words , Canaan would have been considered a son of Noah , even though today he would be called Noahs grandson . He could have easily been considers Noahs youngest son . Also, in the bible , sons are always listed from oldest to youngest, so Japeth was Noahs youngest immediate son , not Ham , his middle son.
Ham was first on the scene after his young son , Canaan, had done something bad to his grandfather . Therefore , Canaan was cursed for what he himself had done .
PS....I just got to the point in your presentation where you claim Canaan had not been born yet. Please provide verse number for this claim . Noah grew grapes ( a slow process ) and ferminted wine ( another time consuming task ) , so there was easily 15 years or more for Ham to father Canaan .
Doctrines of men always seem to over complicate scripture. Its quite simple if you understand a few simple rules of terminology.

Humans residing near the equator required dark skin, extra melanin, a natural shade, to prevent melanoma. Humans that migrated away from the equator that were dark skinned, didn't get enough Vitamin D from the sun, and developed rickets (knees roll around each other when walking, or were bow-legged at the knees, etc). That's why USDA/FDA 'enriched' milk with Vit D, primarily for African Americans. So... evolution dictated that 'northerners' develop lighter skin to better absorb the sun for making Vit D. Light skinned folk moving back toward the equator risk melanoma... so, hello rub-on shade, aka sun screen.

It appears we have theologians trying to explain the curse of Canaan. Many are using the Books of Moses wrongly by confusing what is for Israel. Using Leviticus wrongly which also is speaking to Israel. It is nothing wrong with simply saying we don’t know why Canaan, the grandson of Noah was cursed. Using the Word of God by picking out scripture to suit a particular religious or secular narrative is just as wrong as the Whole World of unsaved Gentiles. This is exactly what people have always done, i.e. use scripture to fit their own narrative or belief.

For years I had wondered about the meaning of this, had never even thought in the realm of sexual nature in relation to this. But, if you think about it, it does add up, kinda. I mean, that's not an action I'd ever be into, but ok. That would explain the....harshness of Noah's pronouncement in relation to Shem, after all, if it was only him walking in and seeing his parents drunk n naked, turn around an walk the other way, but Shem had a chuckle about it to his brothers, who went n and protected mom/dad's dignity. Noah KNEW something happened, Just because Noah was drunk earlier doesn't mean he was blacked out or that by the time Shem came in Noah was less drunk at that time. I'm still feeling that the punishment of Canaan was overboard, but that too is compared to modern child rearing. For this type of punishment, it'd have to be like really really bad. Then add the "gossiping" to his siblings, shows an extreme amount of disrespect to his parents. I still can't get over how the pronouncement seems to affect Canaan and his line, (who punishes their grandchild and their line instead of the perpetrator?) I've forgotten, but did Shem get his own punishment? Though, thinking about it, how horrible would a person feel to not only be shunned(which I'm sure he was) but to be able to do nothing but stand back and watch your whole line take the fall for YOUR OWN mistakes/misjudgements?

What's interesting about the theories where Ham assaults one/both of his parents is that the Sodomites were born from Ham's line, so there does seem to be some credence to Ham having been perverse.
Also in the New Covenant scriptures, Paul chastises someone for sleeping with his step mother. Paul says that he did something so disgusting that even the gentiles refuse to do such things. It's interesting since Japeth is thought to be the father of Europe and most of the pagans there were Greeks and Romans.

Gen 9:22 KJV And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.
Lev 18:8 KJV The nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father's nakedness.
Lev 20:11 KJV And the man that lieth with his father's wife hath uncovered his father's nakedness...
Simple enough? Some problem being naked in one’s own bedroom… I mean, tent? What can a man not do while covered and backwards in a bedroom?
Gen 9:23 KJV And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness.
Noah didn't curse Canaan, directly. Noah, a husbandman, God's geneticist, sadly acknowledged that Canaan, the progeny of first degree incest, son-mother in this case, is cursed. Canaan's descendants were genetically set aside/isolated into the land Noah provided for them. Likewise, the incestuously conceived descendants of Lot and his daughters, the Ammonites/Moabites, were genetically set aside into their land:
Deu 2:9 KJV And the LORD said unto me, Distress not the Moabites, neither contend with them in battle: for I will not give thee of their land for a possession; because I have given Ar unto the children of Lot for a possession.
What exactly was Canaan's curse? Just as cursed Canaan’s descendants were forbidden spouses (Deu 7:1-6; Ezra 9:1-4)… the inbred Ammonites/Moabites, were also genetically unfit to enter the congregation of the Lord:
Deu 23:3 KJV An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the congregation of the LORD for ever:
Noah went further to bless/sanction procreation between Shem's and Japheth's descendants. Keep in mind the metaphor, here... servants don't 'sleep' in their masters’ tents:
Gen 9:25 KJV And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.
26 And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.
27 God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.
This is a small piece of a much larger puzzle... First degree incest, primarily son-mother, was the hallmark of Ba'al worship (collectively), an act of reincarnation; and, Ham's was the first act of Ba'al worship this side of the flood. Thereby, the incestuous father's 'spirit' lived on in his incestuously conceived identical twin/self/son/brother... born again, originally a neolithic Atheist practice… A form of reincarnation. One might rethink what Nicodemus asked Jesus:
John 3:4 KJV (my parens) Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born (again) when he is old (mature)? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born (again)?
Clear enough? The genetically misfit, inbred sons were tossed alive on the barbie, and cannibalized, while that 'spirit' was 'smelted'/purified, to be 'reborn' by the incestuous couple. The golden calf was a child-sized human slow cooker, btw. Daughters were kept as brood mares... might take a look at Jeremiah 19:KJV for starters: biblehub.com/kjv/jeremiah/19.htm
Apostle Paul encompassed son-mother incest into the definition of "fornication" (1Cor 5:1 KJV). Keeping this expanded definition of fornication in mind... perhaps one can better comprehend Jesus' charge against the Revelation church, Thyatira:
Rev 2:20 KJV Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
Thank you for your further consideration…

It is because getting drunk with wine makes a person naked and nakedness leads to fornication.

As Noah deselects Ham in this difficult to understand story and selects Shem and Japheth, we are left to ponder by what criteria? In a similar vein, why did God select the Jewish People as The Chosen Ones? Why not the Egyptians or the Phoenicians? We’re the Jews any more deserving? We’re they more ethical and moral? I think not. Such is the Nature of God in many things. Does the pot ask the potter “Why have you made me so?” Perhaps this story in Genesis we are considering is an early Bible lesson about what constitutes Godly prerogatives. We don’t have to understand or agree with some decisions. Our job is to obey.

"why did God select the Jewish People as The Chosen Ones?" Uh... God's chosen people were the Israelites, NOT Jews (Deu 7:6-13 KJV). The titles 'Jew'/'Jewish'/'Jewess', etc. didn't appear in the OT, until some 800 years AFTER God chose the Israelites... narcissistic Jewish fable. Jacob was 'father' of the Israelites... 'Jewdah' was 'father' of the Jews.

The "unnatural crime of Ham." "Noah, speaking by divine inspiration, foretold of the history of the three great races, ( the sons of Noah ), to spring from these fathers of mankind. Tracing the descendants of Ham, through the son rather than the father, he declared, "Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren." The unnatural crime of Ham declared that filial reverence had long before been cast from his soul, and it revealed the impiety and vileness of his character. These evil characteristics were perpetuated in Canaan and his posterity, whose continued guilt called upon them the judgments of God." Patriarchs and Prophets; page 117. ch.10.

" Noah became uncovered in his tent "
Unless the man went for 900 years without ever taking his clothes off I would have to think that was the appropriate place to be naked and uncovered.
I get so tired of hearing people come up with so many sordid stories and dragging poor Noah through the mud.
I have to present my version of this story where Noah is totally innocent , he maintains his integrity as the ' last righteous man ' and nobody has sex with their mother.
This story has its base in Genesis 3:15 where the Lord promises a savior of the
" seed of the woman " who will redeem humanity as well as " bruise the head of the serpent ".
In Genesis 6 the devil brings to earth the
" seed of the serpent " to contaminate the human race and cause for the perfect human savior to not be born.
By the time of Noah the entire human line is contaminated to some point except for Noah and his family.
Before getting on the ark the sons of Noah have to find suitable wives to replenish the human race with and they need to find women as pure as possible.
Here is where Ham comes in, I believe the story of Noah getting drunk is a demonstration of how Ham was a disobedient rebellious son and he may have chosen a wife of heavy evil seed contamination. He may have done it on purpose. That, I believe , is the THING that Ham had done to his father. He disobeyed his father by marrying into the same contamination they were getting away from, the same the whole world was being destroyed for.
Noah did not curse Ham, nor his grandson Canaan, but rather
ANNOUNCED that Canaan was already cursed as he was the main carrier of the evil seed of the serpent, the seed of the giants.
Most evil giant tribes came from the line of Canaan.
" Noah became an husbandman "
( farmer, worker of the soil )
Notice Noah BECAME a farmer, whereas he was not a farmer before.
Before the flood, Noah may have gotten his ' wine ' or grape drink from other people who were farmers. Plus it is of my understanding that with the atmospheric conditions before the flood fermentation may not have been possible. For 600 years Noah may have gotten perfectly alcohol - free grape drink from other people and never got intoxicated in his life. Then, after the flood the earth and everything has changed, and there isn't anybody to buy grape drink from. If he wants it he has to grow grapes and make it himself.
So he ' becomes an husbandman ' and plants a vineyard. He drinks some of the
' grape juice ' and is fine, then he drinks some that has been around too long and has fermented, AND GETS DRUNK.
Surprise, the first time ever he gets wasted drunk. Ham, being the troublemaker he is, makes fun if him stumbling around follows him back to his tent and Ham keeps telling everyone about it until his brothers respectfully cover Noah up to shut up Ham.
When Noah awakes he remembers Ham and what he ' had done to him ' which was ridicule him and also how he rebelled and brought the evil seed of the serpent through the flood and now his son Canaan was showing signs of carrying the genetic traits.
Nobody had any sex with their mother.
    Noah had a surprise accident.

Perhaps I'm a seed line theorist more than you, Michael? Canaan was cursed being the progeny of son-mother incest (Gen 9:22 KJV; Lev 18:8; 20:11 KJV, must be KJV, btw). And, inbred Canaan's descendants were ostracized/isolated from the congregation of the Lord in the Land of Canaan (Deu 7:1-6; Exe 91-4)... just like Lot's inbred sons' descendants were isolated into their Land of Ar, and ostracized (cursed) from the congregation of the LORD:
DEU 2:9 KJV And the LORD said unto me, Distress not the Moabites, neither contend with them in battle: for I will not give thee of their land for a possession; because I have given Ar unto the children of Lot for a possession.
DEU 23:3 KJV An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the congregation of the LORD for ever:
Ham's nefarious, antediluvian wife became matriarch to the evil Babylonians, and matriarch to the REALLY wicked Assyrians (Gen 10:6-12, Asshur was 'father' of the Assyrians). Might take another look at who "THE Assyrian" was in Ezekiel 31:KJV biblehub.com/kjv/ezekiel/31.htm
God would not tolerate incest being in His Son's ancestry. But, serpent seed theory points the finger at Ham's nefarious wife... likely pouring the vino in Noah's tent that night. Thanks for your post.

@@kayakeraltamaha5720 if Ham and his mother had sex, then it would have been a man with perfect genetic heritage joining with a woman of perfect genetic heritage. Their offspring would have been perfect genetic heritage.
It would have been awful hard for them to repopulate the world if they could not have close family relationships.
All the people in the family of Noah would have perfect, untainted, uncorrupted , DNA .
      The wives are another story.
The laws against insest don't begin until the time of Moses, many, many generations from the time of the flood.
DNA and chromosomes get damaged from exposure to radiation from space and from the sun. Before the flood there was most likely ZERO radiation from space and the sun dismantling and breaking down the DNA. After the flood the atmosphere was different causing the radiation to get through and slowly break down the genetic codes of DNA.
We lose a certain amount with each generation.
In the beginning Adam and Eve carried the DNA of the entire human race.
Ten generations down the road Noah and his family still pretty much had the DNA of the whole world. It wasnt until the time of Moses was there enough breakdown of genes to require spreading of the gene pool to avoid both partners from carrying the same defects.
Incest was not an issue before then.
I don't see how Ham and his mother could have produced the line from which the Canaanite giant tribes originated.
That would have had to be another source

@@michaelszczys8316 Thanks for your reply, Michael... If I may be so presumptuous, please reconsider the Hebrew metaphor:
GEN 9:22 KJV And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without.
LEV 18:8 The nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father's nakedness.
LEV 20:11 And the man that lieth with his father's wife hath uncovered his father's nakedness...
I don't think there's any question about what Ham did? Even before Levitical/Mosaic Law (even Gen was written by Moses), please keep in mind the Hebrew metaphor that there is one act a man cannot perform in the bedroom, covered and backwards:
GEN 9:23 And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness.
Mosaic/Levitical Law was 'cannonized' on precedent, not necessarily cut in stone. Shem's and Japheth's response to Ham's invitation was a very bold metaphorical statement they'd have not part of what went down. Not agreeing with your notion of genetic purity sanctioning/approving incest; but, agreeing with the notion of genetic corruption via Cain's lineage (seed line theorist)... Keep in mind the Hebrew metaphor that servants don't 'sleep' in their master's tents, as Noah sanctioned/blessed procreation between Shem's children/descendants, and Japheth's children/descendants (second degree incest):
GEN 9:25 And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.
26 And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.
27 God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.
Canaan/descendants were cursed, genetically set aside into their land... just like Lot's incestuously conceived Ammonite/Moabite descendants were set aside, genetically isolated, from the congregation of the Lord:
DEU 2:9 And the LORD said unto me, Distress not the Moabites, neither contend with them in battle: for I will not give thee of their land for a possession; because I have given Ar unto the children of Lot for a possession.
DEU 23:3 An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the congregation of the LORD for ever
The Canaanites, Ammonites, and Moabites were inbred... not initially descendants of Cain. Now... I do realize the paradox associated with Adam's and Eve's son, Seth's mate. Playing the devil's advocate... why did Seth even need to marry a sister, when "...Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living" (Gen 3:20). Isn't that a step closer to the 'genetic purity' argument, first degree incest?
At the risk of offering a false dichotomy: One either sanctions/blesses first degree, son-mother incest, that Noah, Shem, and Japheth rebuked; or, Adam and Eve weren't the first humans, but were the first humans with a soul that could communicate across the Spiritual divide.
FWIW... son-mother incest was a neolithic Atheist manner of reincarnation, whereby the 'spirit' of the dying incestuous father lived on in his incestuously conceived identical twin self/son/brother... born again. That's what Nicodemus was asking Jesus (my parens):
JOHN 3:4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born (again) when he is old (mature)? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born (again)?
Son-mother incest was the hallmark of Ba'al worship (collectively). Apostle Paul encompassed son-mother incest into the definition of "fornication" (1Cor 5:1). As gruesome as it was, the genetically misfit sons were tossed on the barbie, and cannibalized (that sometimes included blood drinking), believing the 'spirit'/body of the victim would be 'reborn' to that incestuous couple. Might reconsider Jeremiah 19 for starters biblehub.com/kjv/jeremiah/19.htm
Now... keeping Paul's broader definition of fornication in mind... Please reconsider Jesus' charge again the Revelation churches, Thyatira, and Pergamum:
REV 2:20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
REV 2:14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.
All that to say this, Michael... those that sanction first degree incest... be it sibling, or son-mother... might reconsider the egocentric notion that Adam and Ever were the first humans... as I used to think.

Well,.... Ham SAW the nakedness, and not UNCOVERING your father's nakedness I find to be quite different.
Your view requires Adam and Eves children had to be marrying people from somewhere else to avoid incest.
Who then did they marry? Aliens?
Brother and sister marrying in the beginning was way different than today,
I guess it depends on whether you want to believe a few terms in the Bible and Adam and Eve were not the originators of humanity, or simple genetics and Adam and Eve were the only originators of the human race.
Whether you want to believe that Ham and his mother had sex and that Canaan was the originator of the evil Canaanite tribes ' including giants ' because he was inbred, or that the giants came from inbreeding and a curse, or that the evil Canaanites originated from the ' seed of the serpent '.
I have found that most people would rather have Noah, the tenth from Adam, of the lineage to the Messiah, the last righteous man on earth before the flood, the one who preached righteousness for over a hundred years, after all that turn into a drunken bum who's sole purpose in planting a vineyard was to get drunk.
I like to give Noah a lot more credit than that. I think he was righteous the whole 950 years he was on this earth.
When I speculate, it has to fit the rest of the story. You need to fill in a whole lot more of the rest of the story.

@@michaelszczys8316 If you 'saw' what was in my lunch box, might you have 'uncovered' it? Prima facie... the thing speaks for itself. Folk that subscribe to the Adamic First Humans Theory, founded upon first degree incest, the hallmark of Ba’al worsihp…you guys simply have to fabricate ways to deny what’s written, that obviously happened in Noah’s tent, as you argue in circles defending Noah, preaching to the choir. But, you folk have a heap of challenges to explain why the ‘non-giant’ Canaanites were forbidden spouses:
      1) In his infamous quest for a wife for Isaac, why did Abraham, married to his half sister, entrust his servant to avoid a Canaanitess? “And I will make thee swear by the LORD, the God of heaven, and the God of the earth, that THOU SHALT NOT TAKE A WIFE UNTO MY SON OF THE DAUGHTERS OF THE CANAANITES, among whom I dwell” (Gen 24:3 KJV)? What’s the Canaanite problemo, hmmm? Bad seed? Serpent’s seed? Both?
      2) Why did Rebekah, Isaac’s second cousin wife, have such a problem with Canaan’s descendants, the daughters of his second son, Heth? “And Rebekah said to Isaac, I am weary of my life because of the daughters of Heth: IF JACOB TAKE A WIFE OF THE DAUGHTERS OF HETH, such as these which are of the daughters of the land, what good shall my life do me?” (Gen 27:46 KJV). Again…what’s the Canaanite problemo? Bad seed? Serpent’s seed? Both?
      3) Why did Isaac, married to his second cousin, maritally advise Jacob to avoid the daughters of Canaan like the plague? I mean… the very inheritance of the Abrahamic Covenant was at stake! “1 And Isaac called Jacob, and blessed him, and charged him, and said unto him, THOU SHALT NOT TAKE A WIFE OF THE DAUGHTERS OF CANAAN. 2 Arise, go to Padanaram, to the house of Bethuel thy mother's father; and take thee a wife from thence of the daughters of Laban thy mother's brother. 3 And God Almighty bless thee, and make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, that thou mayest be a multitude of people; 4 AND GIVE THEE THE BLESSING OF ABRAHAM, TO THEE, AND TO THY SEED WITH THEE; THAT THOU MAYEST INHERIT THE LAND WHEREIN THOU ART A STRANGER, WHICH GOD GAVE UNTO ABRAHAM” (Gen 28:1-4). What’s the Canaanite problemo? Bad seed? Serpent’s seed? Both?
      4) Why did God/Moses forbid marriage to Canaanites? What other gods were they worshipping? Ba’al, perhaps? “1 When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the CANAANITES, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou; 2 And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; THOU SHALT SMITE THEM, AND UTTERLY DESTROY THEM; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them: 3 NEITHER SHALT THOU MAKE MARRIAGES WITH THEM; THY DAUGHTER THOU SHALT NOT GIVE UNTO HIS SON, NOR HIS DAUGHTER SHALT THOU TAKE UNTO THY SON. 4 For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods: so will the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and destroy thee suddenly. 5 But thus shall ye deal with them; ye shall destroy their altars, and break down their images, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven images with fire” (Deu 7:1-5). What’s the Canaanite problemo in addition to worshipping gods like Ba’al? Bad seed? Serpent’s seed? Both?
      5) Some 1000+ years later… why did Ezra declare that marriage to a Canaanite was an abomination… a great trespass? Think Ba’al worship was among their abominations, their lifestyles? “1 Now when these things were done, the princes came to me, saying, The people of Israel, and the priests, and the Levites, have not separated themselves from the people of the lands, DOING ACCORDING TO THEIR ABOMINATIONS, EVEN OF THE CANAANITES, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites. 2 For they have taken of their daughters for themselves, and for their sons: so that the HOLY SEED HAVE MINGLED THEMSELVES with the people of those lands: yea, the hand of the princes and rulers hath been chief in this TRESPASS… 7 Since the days of our fathers have we been in A GREAT TRESPASS unto this day” (Ezra 9). What’s the Canaanite problemo? What were their abominations? Ba’al worship in addition to bad seed? Serpent’s seed? Both?
      6) In the last book of the OT, why was Judah literally disowned from the House of Israel for marrying a “Canaanitess” (1Chr 2:3)? “11 Judah hath dealt treacherously, and AN ABOMINATION IS COMMITTED IN ISRAEL and in Jerusalem; for JUDAH HATH PROFANED THE HOLINESS OF THE LORD which he loved, and hath married the daughter of a strange god. 12 The LORD will cut off the man that doeth this, the master and the scholar, out of the tabernacles of Jacob, and him that offereth an offering unto the LORD of hosts” (Mal 2:11, 12). What’s the Canaanite problemo? Bad seed? Serpent’s seed? Both?
      7) Didn’t Apostle Paul chastise the Corinthians for practicing son-mother incest, “fornication” that you subscribe to? I kinda thought God was the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow. “1 It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife (1Cor 5:1). I’m sure you’ll argue that Japheth wasn’t the ‘father’ of those Gentiles that Paul was talking about (Gen 10:2-5)… you know… the dude that walked into Noah’s tent, covered and backwards (Gen 9:23)?
I seemed to miss the part where Paul, fluent in the OT… said it was okay, though, for Seth to schlong his mother. You have ANY Scriptural coordinates to back up the Adamic incest claim? Any? Being genetically pure… was it okay for Adam to schlong his daughters, too, and their daughters, even? Gotta get that humanity ball rolling! Goose and gander kinda thing… slippery slope, hmmm?
Jesus chastising the aforementioned Revelation churches of Pergamum, and Thyatira for practicing Ba’al worship… I kinda missed the part where Jesus said it was okay, though, for Seth to schlong his mother, and for Adam to schlong his daughters, even granddaughters. So… just accept the simple fact then, Michael… subscribing to/sanctioning/consecrating Adamic incest… well… is bowing the knee to Ba’al. Quite commonplace, in fact. Catholics have that down to a science! Jesus, allegedly being God, and all… Jesus schlonged his mother to incarnate himself… progeny of incest… while they drink his blood, and cannibalize his flesh during Eucharist. Ba’al worshippers.
So… I await the Scriptural coordinates corroborating Adamic incest, cool? Please show me ANYWHERE in the KJV, that first degree incest was acceptable to God. Anywhere, Michael… the floor is yours.
Seth married an evolved, genetically pristine sixth day human (not adulterated with Cain’s/nephilim DNA)… like Cain did in the Land of Nod. It is not recorded he took a wife TO Nod, btw… that’s an assumption, also. Anywhere, Michael… please document where schlonging one’s mother/father, sister/brother, son/daughter was a sanctioned/blessed manner of procreation, at any time, anywhere. Thanks…

Yes, I am a little perturbed by the fact that the "speculate" even had to come out of your mouth... but you're wearing a collar - we're clearly not reading the same book. Ham, Simeon, and Absolom all uncovered their father's nakedness and were subsequently cursed as a result.
Ham raped his mother and then bragged about it - this evoked the curse of the firstborn.
As a result of his wickedness, Ham was disowned and was never mentioned again, and the house of Canaan was ultimately wiped out.
Being in some form of leadership over a congregation when you're preparing a sermon or some type of lesson, needless to say, one should always pray before you touch the word of God, for guidance but since we're probably not theologically aligned you're never going to come to the bibliocentric, exegetically, and Christologically correct perspective.
Never speculate - know... the bible translates and interprets itself, you just have to let it.

    Adam: Gardener
    Noah: Gardener
Adam ate from the tree of knowledge and knew he was naked.
Noah drank wine from the forbidden fruit and his nakedness was uncovered.
There is similarity for a reason.

You have to know the culture of these folks at that particular time. It was at that time it was totally dishonorable to view his fathers nahednest and laugh, made fun of his nakedness and drunkeness. Dishonor.

It's African Hebrew history. Not Christianity. Not modern day judiasm.
    Ashkenaz is a gentile.
Genesis 10:3,5 Yah taught Moses Ashkenaz is a gentile.
Same chapter verses 21-31 Ashkenaz not in the lineage of Shem.
Genesis 46: 8-27 list all the names of Ya'acob's who went into Egypt with him. Ashkenaz is not one of his sons.
Genesis 49 Jacob pronounces all the blessing and future failures of all his children. Ashkenaz is not listed as one of Jacob's descendants.
Exodus 1 list the names of the sons of Israel. Ashkenaz is not listed among the names of the sons of Israel.
Deuteronomy 33 Moses blesses the children of Israel. Foretelling their future's. Each path told to each specific tribe. The tribe of Ashkenaz is not mentioned.
Jeremiah 30:1-4. Yah said I will bring back Israel and Juda. Where is Israel?
These Imposters claim only to be Juda.
Where is Israel, the 10 northern tribes?
1 Chronicles 1:5-12 HNV - The sons of Yefet: Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Yavan, and Tuval, and Meshekh, and Tiras. The sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, and Difat, and Togarmah. The sons of Yavan: Elishah, and Tarshisha, Kittim, and Rodanim. The sons of Ham: Kush, and Mitzrayim, Put, and Kana`an. The sons of Kush: Seva, and Havilah, and Savtah, and Ra`mah, and Savtekha. The sons of Ra`mah: Sheva, and Dedan. Kush became the father of Nimrod; he began to be a mighty one in the eretz. Mitzrayim became the father of Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehavim, and Naftuchim, and Patrusim, and Kasluchim (from whence came the Pelishtim), and Kaftorim.
    Revelations 2:9
    Revelations 3:9
Matthew 1 list the names of the sons of Adam to Messiah. Ashkenaz is not in the lineage of Shem once again.

Dang... another pigmentally challenged BHI, smh... Noah said the progeny of first degree incest (sibling, parent-child in this case) was cursed, Canaan. Please consider Gen 9:22 KJV; Lev 18:8; 20:11 KJV). You guys at least use the right translation. So... back up a generation, Yeled... I admire the fact you recognize Ashkenaz was a Gentile... kudos to you guys for that. And, I've 'rattled sabers' with a number of you guys... more knowledge than most, btw.
But, this is where your theology crashes and burns... THERE'S NO SUCH CRITTER AS A SETHITE/SEMITE/HEBREW/ISRAELITE... WITHOUT A GENTILE MATRIARCH OFF THE ARK. Say hello to Japheth's wife and Gentile daughters. That is... unless you subscribe to first degree incest whereby Shem's sons and daughters intermarried? Or, did Shem's sons marry their hottie first cousin Gentile descendants of Japheth? FWIW... Noah sanctioned/blessed procreation between Shem's children/descendants... and, Japheth's children/descendants. Please keep the 'Hebrew' metaphor in mind, that servants don't 'sleep' in their masters. tents:
Gen 9:25 And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren.
26 And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.
27 God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.
Then... show me where Japheth's Gentile daughters were EVER forbidden spouses, hmmm?
GEN 24:3 And I will make thee swear by the LORD, the God of heaven, and the God of the earth, that thou shalt not take a wife unto my son of the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I dwell:
GEN 28:1 So Isaac called for Jacob and blessed him. “Do not take a wife from the Canaanite women,” he commanded.
      DEU 7:1 When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou;
2 When the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, and utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor shew mercy unto them:
3 Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.
Ezra 9:1 Now when these things were done, the princes came to me, saying, The people of Israel, and the priests, and the Levites, have not separated themselves from the people of the lands, doing according to their abominations, even of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites.
2 For they have taken of their daughters for themselves, and for their sons: so that the holy seed have mingled themselves with the people of those lands: yea, the hand of the princes and rulers hath been chief in this trespass.
Hear any of Japheth's Gentile descendants mentioned as forbidden? Who is an Israelite, then, Yeled? We've got Shemites (not all were Hebrew, btw), Gentiles, Hebrews...
DEU 23:7 Thou shalt not abhor an Edomite; for he is thy brother: thou shalt not abhor an Egyptian; because thou wast a stranger in his land.
8 The children that are begotten of them shall enter into the congregation of the LORD in their third generation.
Sure... Edomites, remember they were HEBREW? Two of Esau's wives were even 'daughters' of cursed Canaan. Hittites were descendants of Canaan's second son, Heth:
GEN 26:34 And Esau was forty years old when he took to wife Judith the daughter of Beeri the Hittite, and Bashemath the daughter of Elon the Hittite:
What about Egyptians, then? One of Esau's wives was, Mahalath, the daughter of Ishmael, Abraham's "son" by the Egyptian, Hagar:
GEN 28:9 Then went Esau unto Ishmael, and took unto the wives which he had Mahalath the daughter of Ishmael Abraham's son, the sister of Nebajoth, to be his wife.
So... sorry, Yeled... your posterity ark just sank, friend. You're better off claiming Moses as your patriarch. Then, who do claim as your Israelite patriarch, hmmm?

How is this relevant for us today? Here is one. Brother killing brother. The 'sons of men', trying to wipe out the " sons of God."
